Dear community, it is with a heavy heart we have to announce we are winding down our Alice AI project and putting a stop to it. We have lost all motivation due to several reasons, mainly the meta is completely dead and so are 99% of AI agent related tokens, there are very few projects that are still thriving nowadays. Secondly there are many high-end AI crypto tools built by top companies that completely overshadow the use of most crypto AI agents as we know them, hence we don't want to hang onto a vision that's become futile. Lastly, we want to be able to fully focus on our initial vision since day one - running an alpha community with an investment DAO fund. Additionally another important aspect is cost efficiency, it's hard to overcome since there is no paid product but very high API costs: LLMs, crypto data and finally Twitter. X has completely cracked down on scraping/web integrations (hence the ElizaOS ban) and forcing automated agents to have a paid API subscription costing $5000/month. We have poured a lot of personal funds into operations and marketing before and after the AI hype peak, as well as burned through nearly all of the funds from previously sold supply. It is simply impossible for us to win an uphill battle without a warchest that could hire a 5-man team full-time for 6-12 months. This announcement was made before selling any of the AS owned supply, also there was nearly no delay between internal and public announcements. We want to make sure everyone has the same opportunity to sell before we sell off the remaining AS owned supply. As with all start-ups only ~1% survives, there is no shame in admitting Alice was not part of that. Regarding whitelist for our Ace Capital DAO launch, all users with the @partner and @holder role were manually assigned the @whitelist role in Discord, you will still have priority for our upcoming fund raise.
