We are thrilled to announce that Ahmad Ahmadian has joined the Advisory Board of Project Aftab. Ahmad is an Iranian human rights advocate, technologist, and internet freedom expert. He serves as President and CEO of Holistic Resilience, a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to developing secure technologies that deliver uncensored information, counter state surveillance, and bypass internet censorship — with a primary focus on Iran. Background: Holds a graduate degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Began his journey as a student activist in Iran, participating in movements for civil and political freedoms, which led to arrests, imprisonment, and solitary confinement. Following the 2009 Green Movement crackdown, he was forced into exile and continued his work from abroad — documenting human rights abuses and supporting dissidents. For over a decade, he has led projects to circumvent censorship and enable secure communications in Iran and other restricted environments. Under his leadership, Holistic Resilience advances independent internet access, including support for community-based infrastructure and expanded connectivity solutions during government shutdowns.
