The machines are set up initially to pass certification (when it actually happens), but they have to have some kind of error or "glitch" as the justification for the patch that gets loaded, which is what changes the settings to allow the system to perform its ultimate intended function.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Michigan State Trooper who was seriously injured in the line of duty this morning. 🙏🏽 A Michigan State Police officer was rushed to a hospital after a deadly crash that left a patrol car crushed along I-75 in Lincoln Park Friday morning. According to MSP Director Colonel James Grady, a Motor Carrier Officer (MCO) made a traffic stop on a semi truck driver around 8:40pm, pulling over on the right shoulder of the freeway, near Dix. While parked, Grady said the officer's vehicle was hit from behind by another car, which pushed the MSP vehicle into the semi. Photos from the scene show the police car was crushed, and pinned between the 2 vehicles.
