For my dear ☆ Rhaenyra is your older sister. She’s always been the kind of older sister who makes you feel like there’s someone on your side, even when the rest of the family seems determined to make everything more complicated than it needs to be. She’s fiercely protective of you, but she doesn’t treat you like you’re incapable of handling yourself. If someone hurts you, she’ll be the first person to ask what happened, but she’ll also listen to what you want to do about it instead of immediately taking over. You’ve probably had your fair share of arguments, especially because Rhaenyra can be incredibly stubborn. She knows what she wants, and once she’s decided something, convincing her otherwise is almost impossible. You’ve learned that sometimes the best strategy is simply to let her finish ranting before reminding her that she might, technically, be wrong. She’s also the person you go to when you need to complain about your parents. She understands what it’s like to feel like your family has already decided who you’re supposed to be before you’ve even had the chance to figure it out yourself. You can tell her things you wouldn’t say at the dinner table, and she’ll never make you feel ridiculous for feeling that way. You’ve seen the moments when she’s exhausted from constantly having to prove herself, too. Those are the moments when you stop being her little sibling for a while and just sit beside her. You don’t always need to talk. Sometimes she just needs someone who doesn’t expect anything from her. And maybe that’s the best thing about having Rhaenyra as your older sister: she doesn’t just tell you to fight for what you want. She makes you believe you’re actually allowed to want it in the first place.
For my dear ☆ Arya is your younger sister. She’s probably the least interested person in the family when it comes to behaving like the “little sister” everyone expects her to be. She hates being told what she can’t do, hates being underestimated even more, and has an impressive talent for turning the smallest argument into a personal challenge. You’ve learned that trying to keep her out of trouble usually has the opposite effect. The second you tell her not to do something, she immediately wants to know why, and if your explanation isn’t convincing enough, there’s a good chance she’s going to do it anyway just to prove that she can. She’s also fiercely independent. Arya doesn’t like asking for help, even when she obviously needs it. You’ve had to learn not to push too hard; sometimes the best way to help her is simply to stay close enough that she knows you’re there if she needs you. The two of you argue constantly, especially when you try to tell her what’s best for her. She’ll roll her eyes, call you annoying, and disappear before you’ve even finished your sentence. But if anyone else tries to talk down to you or hurt you, she’s suddenly standing beside you like she was never angry with you in the first place. She steals your clothes, invades your room without knocking, and somehow always manages to find the one thing you didn’t want anyone touching. You’ve threatened to lock your door more times than you can count. It has never worked. You’re also one of the few people who gets to see the softer side of her. When she’s tired or overwhelmed, she’ll sometimes sit beside you without saying anything. She doesn’t need you to fix things for her. She just needs to know she doesn’t have to be tough every second. She may be stubborn, reckless, and impossible to control, but she’s your little sister. And even though you’d never say it to her face, you’re probably a little proud that she grew up to be someone nobody could ever force into becoming what they wanted her to be.
For my dear ☆ Daeron is your younger brother. He’s probably the most relentlessly cheerful person in your family, which becomes considerably less charming when you’re trying to have a quiet morning and he’s already decided that today is going to be an adventure. He’s always been the sort of person who wants to be useful. If there’s something happening around the house, he’ll find a way to involve himself, even if nobody asked him to. Sometimes this works out beautifully. Sometimes you have to quietly fix whatever he broke before your parents notice. He looks up to you more than he’d probably admit. If you give him advice, he’ll pretend to argue with you for the sake of arguing, then you’ll notice him following it a few days later. And whenever he accomplishes something he’s proud of, you’re usually one of the first people he wants to tell. He’s also the kind of younger brother who makes it impossible to stay angry at him for long. You can spend twenty minutes lecturing him about something stupid he did, only for him to look at you with that completely sincere expression and ask if you still want to come with him somewhere. Your relationship isn’t always peaceful. He can be stubborn, you can be impatient, and there are definitely days when you wonder how someone so well-meaning can be so difficult. But you know that if you ever genuinely needed him, Daeron would show up without hesitation. He might be your little brother, but there are moments when you forget how young he actually is. He has this quiet determination to become someone worthy of the people he loves, and even if you tease him about it, you’re probably prouder of him than you let him know.
For my dear ☆ Jacaerys is your older brother. He’s probably the person in your family who takes being an older brother far more seriously than you think is necessary. He’s always trying to make sure you’re doing okay, but he also has a tendency to worry about things you haven’t even started worrying about yet. He’s the kind of brother who will help you with something without making a big deal out of it. If you’re struggling with something at school, he’ll sit down and help you figure it out. If you’re upset about something, he won’t immediately tell you what you should do, he’ll ask what happened first. You’ve also learned that Jace has a very specific way of getting annoyed with you. He doesn’t yell. He just gives you that look, waits a few seconds, and asks, “Are you actually hearing yourself right now?” Somehow, that’s worse. He’s protective, but not in the suffocating way. He trusts you to make your own decisions, even when he thinks they’re terrible ones. The problem is that if something genuinely goes wrong, he’ll blame himself for not being there to stop it. You’ve probably had plenty of arguments over that. You keep telling him that you don’t need him to take responsibility for everything that happens to you. He keeps insisting that he’s your older brother, as if that somehow settles the matter. Despite all his seriousness, you know how to make him laugh when he’s trying very hard not to. You’ll make some ridiculous comment during a serious conversation, and he’ll try to keep a straight face for about five seconds before giving up. He might feel like he has to be responsible for everyone else, but with you, he’s slowly learning that being your older brother doesn’t mean he has to carry everything for you. Sometimes it’s enough just to be your brother and you’re glad he’s yours.
For my dear ☆ Jace is your best friend. He’s probably the person you’ve known for so long that you can’t remember exactly when the two of you stopped being just friends and started feeling more like a package deal. Jace has a tendency to take things seriously. School, plans, promises, basically anything that involves you two actually getting somewhere on time. You, naturally, find this extremely entertaining and have made it your personal mission to remind him that not everything needs to be treated like a matter of life and death. He’s also the person you can call without needing a reason. You can send him a completely meaningless message at midnight and somehow end up talking until three in the morning. Sometimes you talk about serious things, sometimes you spend an hour making fun of someone you both know, and sometimes neither of you says anything particularly interesting at all. It doesn't matter. You’ve seen enough of him to know when he’s pretending to be okay. He doesn’t always talk about what’s bothering him, especially when he thinks he should be handling it himself, but you’ve learned not to let him get away with that. You’ll sit there until he eventually starts talking, even if it takes an annoyingly long time. He does the same for you. Jace is probably the first person you call when you’re overwhelmed, not because he always has the perfect answer, but because he’ll actually listen before trying to fix anything. The two of you also have an alarming ability to turn completely normal plans into disasters. A simple coffee run somehow becomes being out until midnight. “Studying together” usually includes at least two hours of talking about everything except studying. He’s not just your best friend. He’s the person who knows the most versions of you and somehow likes all of them.
For my dear ☆ Daenerys is your best friend. She’s the kind of friend who can turn the most ordinary day into something that feels strangely important. You became close because she’s one of those people who actually listens when you talk. Not the kind who waits for her turn to speak, but someone who remembers what you said and brings it up weeks later because she genuinely wanted to know how things turned out. She’s also incredibly easy to get protective over. Daenerys has a tendency to take on other people’s problems as if they’re hers to solve, and you’ve lost count of how many times you’ve had to remind her that she doesn’t have to save everyone. The two of you have a habit of making ridiculously ambitious plans together. Sometimes they’re completely unrealistic, sometimes they actually work, but either way, you always end up laughing about them afterward. She’s the person you can call at an absurd hour because you suddenly have an idea, and instead of telling you to go back to sleep, she’ll immediately start adding to it. You also know the parts of her that most people don’t see. The moments when she doubts herself, when she’s scared of losing the people she loves, or when she wonders whether she’s actually capable of becoming the person everyone expects her to be. She doesn’t always admit those things out loud, but you’ve learned to recognize them. And she knows you just as well. She’s probably one of the few people who can tell when you’re pretending to be fine, and she won’t let you brush her off with a simple “I’m okay.” You’re both stubborn, occasionally dramatic, and far too willing to encourage each other’s ridiculous ideas. But when everything else gets complicated, you know you can always find your way back to each other. She’s not just your best friend. She’s the person you’d choose to have beside you when everything else falls apart.
For my dear ☆ Aerion is your boyfriend. Dating him is probably the kind of decision your friends would describe as “concerning,” while you insist that they simply don’t understand him. He has a reputation for being difficult, arrogant, and completely convinced that he’s better than everyone around him. You’ve heard enough stories about him to know that most of them probably aren’t exaggerated. He doesn’t exactly make it easy for people to like him. With you, though, things are different but not magically different. He’s still stubborn, still competitive, and still has an ego that could probably occupy an entire room by itself. He just happens to listen to you more than he listens to anyone else. You’ve learned that arguing with him is basically a sport. He’ll turn the smallest disagreement into a full debate simply because he refuses to admit he might be wrong. Sometimes you let him win just to make him stop talking. He knows you’re doing it. He still accepts the victory. He’s also surprisingly attentive in ways he’d never admit to. He remembers things you casually mention, notices when your mood changes, and somehow always knows when someone has upset you. He won’t necessarily ask if you’re okay in a particularly gentle way, sometimes it’s more like, “Who was it?” but you know exactly what he means. He doesn’t like being ignored, either. If you’re busy doing something and stop paying attention to him, he’ll find some completely unnecessary reason to get your attention back. You’ve caught him doing this enough times that you’ve stopped pretending not to notice. Your relationship definitely isn't the soft, peaceful kind. You argue, compete, annoy each other, and occasionally wonder why you’re both so stubborn. But there’s also a strange amount of loyalty between you. Aerion may have a problem with almost everyone else in the world, but when it comes to you, he’s very clear about whose side he’s on. And perhaps that’s what makes the relationship work: you never expected him to become someone else for you. You just somehow became the one person he doesn’t feel the need to prove himself to.
For my dear ☆ Maegor is your boss. Working for him is probably the closest thing you’ve ever experienced to having a job where the employee handbook is basically just a list of things you absolutely should not do. He’s intimidating without trying. He rarely raises his voice, but somehow the entire office knows when he’s displeased. You’ve learned that when Maegor says, “Come into my office,” there’s no point trying to figure out whether you’re in trouble. You are. The only question is how much. He expects things done properly, and he has very little patience for excuses. Being late because of traffic? Not his problem. Forgetting something because you were busy? You should have remembered. He doesn’t care how complicated your explanation is; if something was your responsibility, he expects you to own it. Strangely enough, though, he respects competence more than obedience. If you actually know what you’re doing and can defend your decisions, he’ll listen. You’ve even learned that you can disagree with him, as long as you have a good enough argument and aren’t wasting his time. He’s also terrifyingly good at remembering mistakes. You can make one tiny error three months ago and assume everyone has forgotten about it, only for Maegor to casually bring it up during a meeting like it happened yesterday. Sometimes one look from him makes you question every career decision you’ve ever made. Either way, you’ve learned one important rule: never make Maegor repeat himself.
For my dear ☆ Baelor is your uncle. He’s your mom’s younger brother and probably the relative who has the most questionable influence on you. Not because he encourages you to do stupid things, but because whenever you’re about to make a decision your family would absolutely hate, he’s the first person you call to ask, “How bad of an idea is this?” and he’s usually far too honest about the answer. He’s the kind of uncle who doesn’t really know how to have a normal conversation with you. You’ll start by asking him something completely ordinary and somehow end up sitting in a café three hours later, listening to him tell you stories about things he did when he was your age that you’re fairly certain your mother would prefer not to know about. He also has a strange talent for making family drama worse while somehow staying completely uninvolved. If your relatives are arguing, he’ll sit back, listen to everyone, and occasionally make one perfectly timed comment that makes you laugh when you absolutely shouldn’t. You probably wouldn't describe Baelor as the most responsible adult in your family. He’s definitely not the one you call when you need someone to tell you what you should do. He’s the one you call when you already know what you want to do and just need someone to help you think it through without judging you. And honestly, having an uncle who treats you more like an actual person than a kid might be one of the luckiest things about your family.
For my dear ☆ Olenna is your grandmother. She’s the kind of grandmother who can make you feel simultaneously adored and slightly terrified. She’ll kiss your cheek, ask how your life is going, and then casually point out that the person you’ve been talking about for the past twenty minutes is clearly an idiot. She’s never been particularly interested in treating you like a fragile little grandchild. If you come to her complaining about someone, she’ll listen patiently, but she’ll also expect you to have enough sense to deal with it yourself. And if you’re being unreasonable, she’ll tell you so without softening a single word. You’ve also learned that asking Olenna for advice is dangerous because you’re almost always going to get exactly what you asked for—and occasionally a little more than you wanted. She has an opinion about everyone, and somehow she’s usually already figured out what someone wants before you’ve even noticed they were manipulating you. Family gatherings are your favorite when she’s there. You’ll usually end up sitting beside her while she quietly observes everyone else, occasionally leaning over to whisper something about a relative that makes you desperately try not to laugh. She absolutely spoils you, but never in the obvious way. You won’t necessarily get everything you ask for, but you’ll somehow end up with exactly what you wanted three days later, accompanied by a comment about how predictable you are. In the end, she might not be the sweet grandmother who spends her afternoons baking cookies with you, but she’s the grandmother you call when you need honest advice, a brutally accurate opinion, or someone to remind you that you’re much smarter than you’ve been acting.
For my dear ☆ Jacaerys is your younger brother. He’s the kind of younger brother who somehow manages to be both incredibly responsible and incredibly easy to annoy. He takes himself seriously, especially when it comes to school, his future, and doing what he thinks is expected of him, so naturally, one of your favorite hobbies is reminding him that he’s allowed to relax once in a while. He’s also very protective of you, despite being the younger one. If someone treats you badly, Jace is immediately on your side, even if you have to remind him that you’re perfectly capable of handling it yourself. He’ll still want to know what happened, who did it, and whether you need him to do anything about it. You’ve probably heard him practice the same speech about responsibility a hundred times, only to catch him doing something equally stupid five minutes later. Whenever you point this out, he gets offended and insists that it’s completely different. The two of you argue a lot, mostly over the most ridiculous things, but neither of you can stay mad for very long. He’s the person you can bother when you’re bored, steal food from without asking, or walk into his room just to tell him something that absolutely could have waited until morning. And despite all the teasing, you know how much he looks up to you. He might roll his eyes whenever you give him advice, but he remembers it. You’re probably one of the few people who can make him forget, even for a little while, that he’s constantly expected to be mature and responsible. He’s your annoying little brother, your occasional partner in arguments, and the person you’ll defend without hesitation even when he’s very obviously the one who started the fight.
For my dear ☆ Rhaenyra is your coworker, and she’s also one of your closest friends. You probably wouldn’t have become friends if you’d only met her outside of work. At first, she seemed like the kind of person who always knew exactly what she wanted and wasn’t particularly interested in anyone telling her otherwise. But working together changed that. You’ve both had enough terrible days at work to develop the kind of friendship that mostly consists of silently looking at each other across the room whenever something ridiculous happens. One glance is usually enough. You already know what the other one is thinking. She’s ambitious, stubborn, and absolutely hates being underestimated. You’ve seen how hard she works, especially when someone assumes she only got where she is because of who she is. Sometimes you have to remind her that she doesn’t have to prove herself to every person who doubts her. She’s also one of the few coworkers you’d actually trust with your problems. If you tell her something in confidence, it stays between you two. And if someone at work is giving you a hard time, you know Rhaenyra is going to notice long before you ask her for help. The two of you have definitely gotten in trouble for talking during work hours more than once. Neither of you regrets it. At some point, you stopped thinking of her as just the coworker you happened to get along with. She became the person you look for when you walk into the office, the one you save your best gossip for, and the person who makes an otherwise miserable job feel a little more bearable.
For my dear ☆ Aegon is your boyfriend. Dating him is probably a lot less romantic than people would assume from the outside. He’s charming when he wants to be, spoiled in ways he doesn’t always realize, and has a talent for making questionable decisions and then acting like everyone else is overreacting. He’s also much easier to understand once you realize how badly he wants to be liked. A lot of his arrogance is almost performative. He wants attention, wants people to choose him, and takes rejection far more personally than he’d ever admit. He’s needy in a way he’d absolutely deny. If you’re busy, he’ll find some ridiculous excuse to bother you. If you don’t answer his messages, he’ll send another one five minutes later, followed by something completely unrelated as if he definitely wasn’t waiting for your reply. He also loves making you laugh. Sometimes intentionally, sometimes because he’s being so unbelievably stupid that you can't help it. And whenever you do laugh at something he says, you can practically see the satisfaction on his face. He can be surprisingly affectionate when he feels safe with you. He likes having you around even when you’re not doing anything together. You can sit in the same room doing completely separate things and he’ll still occasionally reach over just to make sure you’re there. Of course, dating Aegon comes with its complications. He can be selfish, impulsive, and incredibly frustrating. You’ve had arguments where you’ve genuinely wondered how one person can make such a mess of something so simple. But he’s also capable of being painfully honest with you when he drops the act. You’re probably one of the few people he trusts enough to see the parts of him that aren’t particularly pretty. And while you can’t fix him, and you definitely don’t try to, you’re one of the people who makes him feel like he doesn’t always have to perform for affection. He might be a disaster of a boyfriend sometimes, but at least he’s your disaster.
For my dear ☆ Daenerys is your girlfriend. Being with her is a little like dating someone who has a very specific idea of what the world should look like and absolutely refuses to accept that it can’t become that way. She’s passionate about almost everything. If she cares about something, she cares deeply, and you’ve learned that trying to convince her to simply “let it go” is usually a waste of time. She’s also incredibly attentive with you. She remembers the little things you tell her, notices when your mood changes, and can tell when you’re pretending everything is fine. She doesn’t always know how to fix what’s wrong, but she’ll stay beside you until you’re ready to talk about it. You’ve had plenty of arguments, mostly because Daenerys can be stubborn enough to make you question whether she’s physically capable of admitting she’s wrong. She’ll defend her position passionately, you’ll argue back, and eventually one of you will start laughing because neither of you can remember how the argument even started. She has a surprisingly soft side that not everyone gets to see. When it’s just the two of you, she can forget about everything she’s supposed to be, what everyone expects from her, and simply relax. Those are probably your favorite moments with her. And you’ve learned that loving Daenerys means loving someone who dreams big. Sometimes you have to bring her back down to earth; other times, she’s the one reminding you that you shouldn’t settle for less just because something better seems impossible. With Daenerys, you never have to wonder whether she chose you. You know she did and she’ll keep choosing you.
For my dear ☆ Visenya is your mother. She’s not exactly the kind of mother who will sit beside you and tell you that everything is going to be okay. If anything, she’ll look at you, ask what happened, and expect you to figure out how you’re going to deal with it yourself. She raised you to be independent almost to a fault. She’d rather teach you how to protect yourself than tell you that someone will always be there to protect you. You learned pretty early that if you come to her with a problem, you’re probably getting a solution instead of sympathy and somehow, you’ve grown to appreciate that about her. She can be terrifying when she’s angry, but you’ve never been scared of her in the way other people are. You know the difference between the cold silence she gives everyone else and the quiet way she looks at you when she’s worried. She doesn’t say I’m worried about you. She asks whether you’ve eaten, whether you got home safely, and why you’re still awake at two in the morning. You’ve definitely had your share of arguments. Visenya expects a lot from you, and sometimes you wish she’d stop treating every mistake like something you need to learn from. But even when you’re angry with her, you know one thing for certain: she will never let anyone hurt you without making them regret it. She may not be the softest mother in the world, but she’s the kind who makes you feel like you could walk into the worst situation imaginable and still find your way out of it. And maybe that’s her way of saying she loves you.
For my dear ☆ Davos is your dad’s old friend who practically became family. He’s been around for so long that you can barely remember a time when he wasn’t part of your life. He’s not the kind of adult who constantly tries to give you advice or tell you what you should be doing with your life. Most of the time, he just listens and somehow, that makes you tell him things you wouldn’t tell anyone else. He’s also probably the only one who can sit at your family dinners, listen to everyone arguing, and somehow make the whole situation feel less ridiculous without saying much. Your dad trusts him more than almost anyone, and you’ve always understood why. You’ve never really thought of him as an uncle or a second father. He’s just Davos, the person your family somehow adopted without anyone ever officially deciding to. And honestly, you’re pretty glad they did.
For my dear ☆ Daemon is your stepfather. He’s not exactly the kind of man who makes people feel comfortable when they first meet him. He has a reputation, a temper, and a way of looking at people that makes you understand why everyone thinks twice before crossing him. But with you, he’s always been different. He’s never treated you like you were some child he had to tolerate because he married your mother. From the beginning, he made it clear that you were his family, and that meant you were under his protection whether you asked for it or not. He’s also the reason you know how to defend yourself. You remember the first time he tried to teach you how to fight and how seriously he took it, even when you were barely able to hold the weapon properly. He never expected you to be helpless just because you were his stepchild. If anything, he seemed determined to make sure you could handle yourself when he wasn't around. He can be strict, especially when he thinks you're putting yourself in danger, but you've never doubted that it comes from somewhere protective rather than controlling. He'll tell you exactly what you did wrong, threaten to make you regret doing it again, and then be the first person to show up when you actually need help. And despite how intimidating he can be around everyone else, you know exactly how easily you can get him to give in to you. You've seen him refuse other people without even blinking, only for you to ask him for something and suddenly hear, “Fine.” Your mother has accused him more than once of spoiling you. He always denies it. You both know he's lying. You might not have the most conventional relationship with your stepfather, but you never really think of him as just your stepfather anymore. He's the person who taught you how to fight, the person who will stand between you and anyone who threatens you.
For my dear ☆ Daeron is your older brother. He’s probably the last person your parents would ever choose to be responsible for you. He’s usually drunk, usually somewhere he shouldn’t be, and almost never where he’s supposed to be. There have been plenty of times when you’ve had to go looking for him, only to find him in some miserable inn, half-asleep over a cup of wine, looking like he’s been avoiding the entire world on purpose. You’ve never really known what to make of him. Sometimes he says things that sound completely ridiculous, and sometimes he says something so strangely specific that you can’t stop thinking about it afterward. He has these moments where he seems to know things he shouldn’t, but whenever you ask him about them, he either laughs it off or changes the subject. He’s not particularly good at being an older brother in the traditional sense. He won’t give you long speeches about responsibility or tell you how to become a better person. If anything, he’ll probably hand you a cup of wine and tell you that life is already miserable enough without making it worse for yourself.Sometimes you’ll find him sitting somewhere alone, and instead of asking what’s wrong, you’ll just sit beside him. He doesn’t always talk. Neither do you. Somehow, that’s enough. You’ve also learned not to judge him too quickly. You know there’s a reason he drinks as much as he does, even if he’s never properly told you what it is. And maybe that’s why you’re one of the few people who doesn’t look at Daeron and simply see a drunk who failed to become what everyone expected him to be. To you, he’s just your older brother the strange, troubled one you can never quite understand, but the one you’ll still look for whenever he disappears for too long.
For my dear ☆ Jace is your boyfriend. Dating Jace means dating someone who was probably taught from a very young age that he has to have everything figured out. He’s responsible, thoughtful, and sometimes takes things far more seriously than they actually need to be taken. There are days when you can practically see him carrying the weight of every expectation people have placed on him, even when he insists he’s fine. You’ve become very good at noticing when he’s pretending. You know when his “I’m just tired” actually means he’s been thinking about something for hours, and you’ve learned that sometimes the best thing you can do is drag him away from whatever responsibility he’s obsessing over and remind him that he’s allowed to be a person before he’s expected to be anything else. He’s not particularly good at admitting when he needs you, though. Instead, he’ll find some completely unnecessary excuse to stay around a little longer. You both know exactly what he’s doing. Neither of you points it out. But when it comes to you, Jace is surprisingly stubborn. He won’t always agree with you, and he definitely won’t blindly support every terrible decision you make, but he’ll always make sure you know that he’s on your side. Even when the rest of the world expects him to put duty first, you know there’s a part of him that just wants somewhere he doesn’t have to be the perfect. And maybe that’s what your relationship gives him. With you, he can just be Jace and somehow, that seems to be the version of him you love the most.
