Do you know who Steve Scalise really is? Scalise is another McCarthy. He has been in Congress for 14 yrs. For the last six+ years he has given the liberals 42% of his votes earning him a grade F on the Liberty Score by Conservative Review These are the bills he voted with the democrats on. FROM SUSAN: Good Morning SHC Patriots,  Hope all is well.  I am requesting a Call to Action by the SHC team to write and call the Govenor's office to veto HB 3159.   Here is the bill going to his desk to be signed into law:  SECTION 1.Chapter 81, Election Code, is amended by adding Section 81.006 to read as follows:  Sec.81.006. ACCESSIBLE ABSENTEE BALLOT SYSTEM. (a) A person eligible for early voting by mail under Section 82.002 or Section 101.001 as a person described by Section 101.001(2)(A) may cast a ballot using an accessible absentee mail system, notwithstanding any other provision of this title. (b) An accessible absentee mail system must be an electronic system, including software, used for the sole purpose of enabling any voter, including a voter who has a disability, to mark the voter ’s ballot and print and submit the ballot in the manner required by law for a ballot marked by the voter. (c) The secretary of state shall adopt rules and prescribe procedures for the implementation of this section. SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023 In a nutshell, this is internet voting with the voter printing their ballots and mailing them in, as opposed to the current law that voters request a ballot to be mail to them, mark it and mail it back to the election's office.  This will open pandora's box on our elections for anybody to print a ballot online and mail it in.   Please contact Governor Abbott's office and tell him to VETO HB 3159.  Here is the link to send an email, his phone number and my short and sweet email to him, as an example.   Office of the Texas Governor | Greg Abbott (512) 463-2000 - Office of the Governor Main Switchboard    Dear Honorable Governor Abbott,  Thank you for your work to keep Texas great.  I am requesting that you veto HB 3159.  This bill will only open the door to internet voting and insecure elections.  Thank you again for your service to Texas.  Respectfully,  Susan Valliant Precinct Chair 2174  Thank you for your help with this call.  We want secure elections in our state, not internet free for all elections.   You are the best as always, true active Patriots.
