When I started learning Arabic in 2013, I encouraged 4 of my 5 friends to learn it with me. Later, I even “forced” my younger brother to learn Arabic too. Today, he is also a well-known Arabic teacher in Russia. I also started teaching my children when they were very young. Now they study at a Saudi school just like other Arab children. Even my mother, may Allah protect her, learned the basics of Arabic and plans to continue learning. Why am I telling you this? Because I see that many people learn Arabic quietly and never invite others to join them. But remember these two hadiths: 1. لا يؤمن أحدكم حتى يحب لأخيه ما يحب لنفسه “None of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself.” 2. الدال على الخير كفاعله “The one who guides others to something good receives a reward like the one who does it.” So invite others to learn Arabic!
