New reel on Instagram! Which one? • Ushidar • Uruk • Little Lady • Shabaahang • Paliz • Maryam and Altai • The King There’s no easy answer! The truth is, we’ve never wanted a single main villain in Seventh Sky. No one here is evil, the only problem is that they have different goals and motivations. Narratively, a villain stands against the hero. The classic hero is someone who surpasses us in morality, appearance, and physical ability. And the villain is the exact opposite. But with the modern era, we’ve grown tired of flawless heroes and senseless villains. Honestly, I’d even say we don’t have a hero in this story at all! Just a set of "main characters" with different, sometimes conflicting motivations, facing each other in a polyphonic narrative. I’d genuinely love to hear what you feel about each of them! It’s possible you might think one of them is more villainous than the others! But for Sadaf, the answer is simple. Which one of them is the villain? All of them, and none of them. Many thanks to @aramyonart for the amazing job she did with colouring these frames.

The Deathless Fire, one of the comics I worked on recently got published! It’s part of the zine Torches: The Fires That Fuel Change, a collection about the fires that keep us going. 🔥 In Zoroastrianism, fire is seen as a living being that needs to be fed. This comic is about the sacred Behram Fire in Yazd's fire temple, one of the eternal flames that has been kept alive since the Sasanian era. For me, it's a symbol of perseverance and the will to keep going no matter how dark it gets. I haven’t had the chance to visit it yet, but I really hope I can one day. The incredible colors are by no one other than Aramyon! Working on this with her was such a joy. She made the pages come to life and shine (literally!) with her colors. 🌌✨ I’m happy this piece found a home in Torches, alongside other beautiful pieces. Leaving this here before I lose my mind. Lyrictober 5/13! I got the flu a few days ago and completely forgot about this piece until today. I was doing some experiment and trying some toturial which lead to this. congratulations to @mahour_arts for reaching 20k on Instagram! thanks to this challenge I got to try a bunch of style and ideas that I had postponed for awhile. I always wanted to try my hand at art nouveau (a very amateur attempt I know :3) and what better character to try it on than the qajar queen herself! It's been challenging but a really really fun piece to work on. thank you for this challenge and thank you to little lady for posing for me throughout the whole process!
