Two countries long friendly with Moscow moved towards Brussels, pointing to Russia’s waning sphere of influence. The DDS-3.1 is a medium-range loitering munition armed with a 5 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead and designed for one-way precision strike missions. The drone operates fully autonomously and features an advanced anti-jam GNSS navigation system, allowing it to maintain accurate guidance even in areas affected by heavy electronic interference. Its airframe has been designed to minimize radar detectability through the use of composite materials. Combined with its fire-and-forget capability and ultra-low-altitude flight profile, the system is capable of penetrating enemy air defenses with a reduced risk of detection. Designed to engage personnel, military vehicles, armored targets, and radar installations, the DDS-3.1 provides an effective solution for missions involving the suppression of enemy air-defense systems. @armmilEng

🇦🇲🇪🇺🇦🇿The European Court of Human Rights has delivered its first judgment related to the April 2016 Four-Day War between Armenia and Azerbaijan, ruling that Azerbaijan violated the fundamental rights of Armenian Major Hayk Toroyan, who was tortured and killed during the war. In a landmark decision, the Strasbourg-based court found that Azerbaijani forces were responsible for the unlawful killing and torture of Toroyan after he had become defenseless during military clashes near the village of Talish. The court ordered Azerbaijan to compensate the victim's family and take steps to identify and hold accountable both those who carried out the abuse and those who ordered it. @armmilEng

🇫🇷🇦🇲 French defense giant Thales and Armenian company BooTech announced a strategic partnership. In addition to company representatives, the ceremony was attended by Armenia’s Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, French Deputy Minister for the Armed Forces Alice Rufo, and the head of Armenia’s Military-Industrial Committee Aram Jivanyan. For Armenia this is an important signal: Armenian companies are increasingly reaching a level that allows them to develop their own solutions, integrate complex systems and operate according to international standards. Cooperation with a global player of Thales’ scale could become a major step toward developing expertise in Armenia, creating skilled jobs, deepening French-Armenian technological cooperation, and strengthening the country’s strategic resilience. It should be noted that BooTech is a leader in combat management systems. At Eurosatory 2026, the company presented air defense, artillery, and intelligence command and control systems. @armmilEng

Armenia’s Anti-Corruption Committee has proposed legal amendments aimed at strengthening safeguards in the electoral process. Based on findings from investigations into corruption-related electoral crimes in the run-up to the June 7 elections, the law enforcement body has proposed a potential ban on political forces involved in such schemes from participating in future elections. The motion to initiate legal amendments was sent by Anti-Corruption Committee Chairman Artur Nahapetyan to Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan. “Emphasizing the importance of ensuring the legality of electoral processes, the Committee has preliminarily summarized the data from proceedings conducted in cases of corruption-related electoral crimes uncovered in the period preceding the 2026 National Assembly elections. The mechanisms through which these crimes were carried out, as well as the circumstances facilitating their commission, have been identified. On this basis, the head of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia has addressed the Minister of Justice, requesting the initiation of legislative amendments aimed at eliminating the circumstances that facilitate the commission of such crimes. These amendments would minimize the possibility of using the identified criminal schemes in the future, including by banning the participation in electoral processes of political forces involved in such schemes,” the Anti-Corruption Committee said in a press release. @armmilEng
