Some people believe that using mobile phones ought to be banned in public spaces, especially libraries, shops and public transport. I completely agree with this notion since it disturbs others, reduces public safety, as well as encourages social interaction. Mobile phones, in recent years, have been generally welcomed by the public although there are some drawbacks to a certain extent. When people use their phones in public places, such as libraries and waiting rooms, these devices cause unnecessary disturbance through audible notifications and phone calls, making it difficult for people to concentrate. This is problematic as it prevents others from studying or relaxing and individuals mostly visit there in order to focus on their tasks without interruptions. Therefore, people should have a responsibility to respect these shared spaces. Another reason for banning the use of public safety in certain situations, particularly crossing roads and boarding buses because they pose safety risks. While crossing roads people become less aware of their surroundings as they get distracted by their phones and this consequently leads to undesirable accidents. Using public transport requires adequate attention from people and mobile phones are one of the main causes of passengers become distracted. That is why, it is better to prohibit the usage of smartphones in particular circumstances. The advent of technological devices, especially mobile phones is of the main reasons for the decline in face-to-face communication. Previously, people used to interact with one another frequently in person since the existence of digital devices was not common. However, if smartphones are forbidden in specific circumstances people would be more likely to interact with one another and have meaningful conversations so as to strengthen social bonds. Nowadays, people are less prone to chat with each other because they are addicted to digital devices and overwhelmingly use them, which accordingly leads to social isolation. In conclusion, I think mobile phone use should be restricted in public places, especially libraries, shops and public transport as they create unnecessary disruptions, present a hazard and promote social interaction among individuals. time: 43 minutes 8/8/8//8 by Asadbek Uktamov
