FIW - "Not Looking For Trouble" - Behind the Song Forward Into War teams up with Madrid's Thumbscrew in the song "Not Looking For Trouble," taken from the album Born And Bred (2023, Askania Productions). We caught up with vocalist Mick to find out more about the track. Q: Can you tell us the story behind this song? A: This song is basically about going out for a few drinks with mates for a good laugh and catch up as a middle-aged man. Then some coked-up young bloke wants to prove himself with old skinheads! We would rather just relax, but "if you want it you only have to say!" - pushed too far, we stand and fight. The track features our good friends from Madrid, the mighty Thumbscrew, guesting on bass and lead, with Nacho sharing vocals. Javi's lead is a killer, and Chuggs' rhythm chopping is raw and fast! Aggressive music - what could go wrong Q: How did the idea of doing this song with your Spanish friends come about? A: I guested on a Thumbscrew track for the compilation The Skinheads Come Back Vol. 5 - they're good friends and a great band. Q: I heard you're working on a new album? A: Yes, we've got 13 new tracks demoed and we'll start recording in October, but we're not in a rush. Thank you for Saturday night! Bands from the UK, Greece, and Czech Republic brought incredible energy to the stage - huge shoutout to Defender from Greece, who absolutely blew me away with the sheer energy coming off that stage. Every single band delivered, and on top of their own sets, they treated us to some amazing covers too. Great atmosphere all night, and the room was full of familiar faces. Special thanks to the organizers for the invite - it was great catching up with loyal clients and meeting some new ones too. See you at the next one.
