Would you rather own your memories than rent storage for them every month? I’m building a standalone Windows app (Win10/Win11) that lets you browse all your photos and videos stored across internal drives, external USB drives and NAS devices as one smooth, zoomable timeline (similar to the iOS Photos app). No cloud. No monthly subscription. Your memories stay yours. I’m looking for a few people to alpha test the MVP. If you’d like to try it, send me a DM. I expect it to be ready this weekend. Bonus: I also built a small tool that backs up an iPhone directly to an external drive without using iCloud. It’s currently a command-line tool built for my own use, but if enough people are interested, I’ll turn it into a proper GUI application.

ChartScanner volume metric updated Previously, the alert showed a capped “volume ratio” where 100% meant the alert candle had the highest volume in the checked range. The problem: a candle that barely beat the previous high-volume candle and a candle that massively outshined it both showed as 100%. From now on, alerts show Volume dominance instead. This compares the alert candle’s volume to the second-highest volume candle in the same checked range. Example: • Volume dominance: 150% means the alert candle had 1.5x the volume of the runner-up candle. • Values above 100% mean the alert candle was the highest-volume candle in the range. • Values below 100% mean another candle in the range had higher volume. This should make volume strength easier to judge at a glance.
