Create Buttons in the Article Editor In the beta version of Telegram for Android for the upcoming 12.10 update, users can now turn part of the text in paragraphs into buttons that are styled to look like links. The buttons can currently perform three types of actions: Link, Copy, or User Profile. The created button can be configured by tapping it continuously — for example, the style of the button can be set to dangerous (red), success (green), or primary (theme accent color). The contents of a button can be edited by tapping and holding it. #Android

New Table Options In the beta version of Telegram for Android for the upcoming 12.10 update, the Rich Text tables received a few extra options: • Borders: You can now choose if the table cells have borders shown or not. • Spacing: You can now use the Compact option to reduce internal distances in the tabe so it takes up less space. Welcome Messages In the beta version of Telegram for Android for the upcoming 12.10 update, admins can now set and edit welcome messages in groups and channels they manage. The welcome messages are ephemeral, which means they can only be seen by the user who just joined the chat, and are invisible to the rest of the members. @telelakel notes that bots will also be able to send welcome messages to joining users (including Rich Text messages). Such messages will appear to be sent anonymously by the chat owner, not the bot itself. Currently, Telegram allows to prepare up to 3 welcome messages on the main server. On the test server the limit is higher — up to 5 messages. These values might change in the future. To create a welcome message, open group or channel Settings › Welcome Message. ⚠️ Keep in mind: When welcome messages are released, it is likely that the feature will be available not just in group chats, but channels too. Bad-faith admins can abuse this feature by tricking newly joined users with messages like “The channel admin has a message for you...” #Android

Buttons in Rich Text Messages In the beta version of Telegram for Android for the upcoming 12.10 update, Rich Text messages were expanded with support for buttons that can be placed in the middle of the text. How it works: • Currently, Rich Text buttons can only be placed from the Bot API. • Buttons can be aligned to the left, right, or center. They can also expand to the full width of the message. • Buttons support multiple styles that set their color theme. • Inside paragraphs, link-style buttons can be placed. • Special actions are available, like buttons for copying text, opening user profiles, URL auth, etc. #Android
