When you see a sister starting to wear a longer shawl, dress more loosely, or take steps towards niqab, please be gentle with your words. And if you see a sister dressed this way make a mistake, please don’t say “See? She dresses like that but look what she did.” Her clothing is not the reason she made a mistake. Modesty is an act of worship, but it does not make someone perfect or free from sin. She is still human. She can make mistakes, fall short, and struggle just like all of us. Likewise, someone’s past should not be used to invalidate the steps she is taking towards Allah. We don’t know the journey behind someone’s hijrah. We don’t know the struggles, the private battles, or the du‘as made when nobody else was watching. So when you see someone trying to become better, encourage her. When she makes a mistake, advise her with kindness. And when you see her trying again, let her. Don’t make her feel that she has to be perfect before she is allowed to come closer to Allah. We are all works in progress.

💭 of today's reflection sharing by sis aliyah, @ansar; the night is young: life beyond death (youth event) • one of our obligations in life as humans is to seek knowledge as much as we can til we reached to the end of our lives • through seeking knowledge, we get to learn how to face reality struggles and spot red flags in our understanding of Islam • our life&time is being borrowed by Allah s.w.t and it holds an amanah (responsibility) for us to take care of it responsibly والله أعلم~🌷

Istiqamah is hard. Some days you feel close to Allah, your ibadah feels easy, and your heart feels at peace. But there will also be days when you feel tired, distracted, and far away. And that's okay. What matters is that you don't stop trying. Don't think that you have to become a perfect Muslim overnight. Take it slowly. Start again when you slip. Pray even when you don't feel like it. Make dua even when your heart feels heavy. Keep coming back to Allah, no matter how many times you fall. Sometimes, the smallest things we do consistently may mean more than we realise. So don't underestimate your little efforts. Allah sees you trying, even on the days when you feel like you're not doing enough. May Allah keep our hearts firm upon His deen, help us stay consistent in our worship, and let us return to Him every time we lose our way. Amin 🤍 The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are done consistently, even if they are few.”
I was staring into the dark when i suddenly remembered something my mum once told me. "In the Akhirah, Allah will question every single thing we do." That thought stayed with me. Not just our prayers & fasting, but our work. How we earned our money & how we spent it. The way we treated our parents, our spouses, our children, our friends & even strangers. The words we spoke. The promises we made. The time we wasted. The blessings we were given but rarely thanked Allah for. Sometimes we think, "It's only a small good just a small sin," or "No one saw it." But Allah saw it. Sometimes we think, "It's only a small good deed." Allah saw that too. Allah says: "Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it & whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it." (Surah Az-Zalzalah 99:7–8) The Prophet ﷺ also said that a person will not move from their place on the Day of Judgment until they are asked about their life, their youth, their wealth, how they earned it & how they spent it, & what they did with their knowledge. (Jami' at-Tirmidhi) One day, our jobs, our salaries, our titles, our followers & everything we spent so much time chasing will be left behind. The only thing that will accompany us into our graves is our deeds. May Allah make us mindful before we speak, before we act, before we earn, before we spend & before we meet Him. May He forgive our shortcomings, accept our repentance & make our questioning easy.
