Honored to Represent Venezuela at LCC 2026 Model United Nations 🌎🇻🇪 I am pleased to share that I have been appointed as the Delegate of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the Leadership Conference & Competition (LCC) 2026, serving in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) committee. In this role, I will engage in diplomatic discussions, negotiations, and collaborative problem-solving on the global climate agenda. I will represent Venezuela’s perspectives while working with fellow delegates to develop practical solutions and contribute to meaningful dialogue. My assigned agenda is: “Regulating Carbon Markets and Preventing Greenwashing Under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.” This opportunity represents a valuable platform to strengthen my understanding of international climate diplomacy, multilateral negotiations, and the role of youth in addressing global challenges. Dear Younger Me, Thank you. Truly, deeply, endlessly thank you. Thank you for refusing to give up during the years when life gave you every reason to surrender. Thank you for waking up before sunrise and walking long distances to school with tired feet but determined dreams. Thank you for continuing your education even when books were limited, opportunities were scarce, and the future looked uncertain. You did not fully understand it then, but every difficult step you took was building the foundation for the person I am becoming today. Thank you for believing in education when your environment offered so few examples of what education could become. You studied in silence while carrying fears you rarely spoke about. You worried about finances, about failure, about whether your journey would ever lead somewhere meaningful. Yet despite all those fears, you continued trying. That quiet persistence became one of the greatest gifts you ever gave to your future self. Thank you for surviving moments that nobody else fully saw. Thank you for enduring the emotional weight of feeling behind others who had more resources, better schools, and easier lives. Thank you for facing embarrassment, self-doubt, and uncertainty without allowing them to destroy your spirit. You taught me that resilience is not loud. Sometimes resilience is simply choosing to continue another day. Thank you for protecting your faith during difficult times. Thank you for continuing to pray even when life felt confusing. Thank you for trusting Allah even when answers were delayed. Most importantly, thank you for staying close to the prayers of our mother. Her duas became a shelter over our life, and you carried those prayers with sincerity and humility . You never allowed hardship to harden your heart completely. Thank you for remaining kind despite struggle. Many people become bitter when life becomes difficult, but you continued respecting others, helping younger students, and caring about your community even while carrying your own burdens. You did not wait until becoming successful to serve people. You started serving while you were still struggling yourself, and that reveals the purity of your intentions. Thank you for daring to dream beyond your environment. Thank you for believing that a child from Gerba Hurufa Kebele could someday lead, speak, inspire, and create change. At a time when your world felt geographically small, your imagination remained large . That courage to dream was revolutionary. It allowed you to see possibility where others only saw limitation. Thank you for every sacrifice you made that no one applauded. Thank you for studying while exhausted, applying for opportunities without certainty, and continuing forward despite rejection and financial pressure. Many opportunities felt close enough to touch but still impossible to access because of transport, accommodation, or basic costs. Yet even those disappointments did not completely extinguish your hope. Your endurance through those moments shaped extraordinary strength within you. And finally, younger me, thank you for becoming the reason someone else can believe today. Because you continued walking through hardship with faith and determination, your story now carries light for others. You transformed pain into purpose, struggle into motivation, and limitation into vision. I am proud of you—not because you became perfect, but because you never stopped trying. Everything I build today exists because you refused to quit yesterday.

What I'm Learning Right Now 1. Preparation is power. I have 25 sessions to present at the UNODC workshops. That's a lot. But I'm not overwhelmed—I'm prepared. I've written my talking points. I've reviewed the agendas. I know the objectives. I've connected the dots between my work and the workshop goals. Preparation transforms fear into confidence. 2. Partnerships are everything. I could not have reached 500+ young people alone. I could not have designed the Green Integrity Initiative alone. I could not have been invited to these workshops alone. I have partners—FEACC, Fana Media, Haramaya University, and now UNODC and GRACE. No one succeeds alone. Build your network. 3. Purpose gives you strength. When I feel tired, I remember why I started. I started because I grew up in a community with no electricity, no library, and no mentor. I started because I saw young people's futures being stolen by corruption. I started because I believe that talent exists everywhere—but opportunity does not. That purpose gives me energy. It gives me direction. It gives me hope. Find your purpose. It will carry you through the hard days.

I spent the morning writing letters—to UNODC, to partners, to the people who have supported this journey. I spent the afternoon reviewing the workshop agendas, preparing my presentations, and thinking about the young people I will meet in Addis Ababa. And I spent the evening thinking about you. Every single person reading this has a dream. Every single person has faced obstacles. Every single person has wondered: "Will I ever make it?" I want you to know: Yes, you will. But it won't happen by accident. It will happen because you show up. Because you prepare. Because you refuse to give up.

This week, I received two invitations. One from the United Nations — to participate in two youth workshops on anti-corruption and climate action. One from Safe Light Initiatives — as a scholarship recipient for LCC 2026. I am sharing this not to boast, but to prove a point: Where you come from does not determine where you can go. I grew up in a rural community. No electricity. No library. No mentor. But I kept serving. Kept learning. Kept building. And now, the world is opening its doors. My goal is not to become the most successful person in the room. My goal is to ensure that more young people have the chance to become successful in their own lives.
