Naturally Liberating Whatever You Meet Khenpo Gangshar Wangpo’s Dzogchen Instructions with Lama Justin 📅 September 9–15 | 4:00–5:30 PM EDT 🌏 September 10–16 | 8:00–9:30 AM NZST Join Lama Justin for this week-long teaching series on Khenpo Gangshar’s Dzogchen instructions known as Naturally Liberating Whatever You Meet. These instructions are profound, concise, and easy to put into practice. They can be considered stand-alone instructions, and also act as a helpful counter support for an existing trekchö or mahāmudrā practice. Trained at Shechen Monastery in Tibet, Khenpo Gangshar became one of Chögyam Trungpa’s most important teachers, starting off as his tutor and then becoming an influential dzogchen teacher. Khenpo Gangshar was quick to understand that the Chinese invasion was imminent and decided that dzogchen and mahāmudrā instructions should be made more available for as many people as possible due to the impending chaos and destabilization that was coming. Instructions like these are powerful when put into practice correctly and offer people a rich way to explore how to let appearance self-liberate. In times like these, when our world and much of what we see in the United States seems chaotic, and when global suffering and environmental collapse is undeniable, these instructions are vitally important. These instructions are even more vital for those who are feeling stuck, lost or blocked by excessive superstitious religiosity within their practice, or when people are being denied the liberating instructions for no good reason. In this respect, Khenpo Gangshar’s commitment to connecting people to methods that liberate them is all the more important and timely. This event will be a supportive, practical, dynamic presentation of Khenpo Gangshar’s instructions. The 7-day program will be recorded for participants who are unable to attend live. https://courses.yangtiyoga.com

PLEASE REGISTER HERE: https://kagyu.org/eventBD/attendEdmr?09GMudra26 In Person & Online (Zoom) This teaching is the final level of KTD's Dharma Paths curriculum program. The Ganges Mahamudra is a celebrated song of realization attributed to the Indian Buddhist master Tilopa (988–1069 CE). According to tradition, Tilopa sang it spontaneously to his disciple Naropa on the banks of the Ganges River, bringing on his full awakening. The song is a pithy, poetic transmission of Mahamudra, a direct-pointing meditation teaching that emphasizes resting the mind in its natural, unelaborated state. It remains one of the most revered texts in the Kagyu tradition.

Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche: Sun and Sky Gazing (In Person & Online) September 25th—September 27th Date details + Price: $265 Full Price Room: Main Shrine Room Boulder Shambhala Center, in collaboration with Chamma Ling, Colorado, is delighted to host Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche again September 25-27, 2026. This retreat is a hybrid retreat, with both in-person and online attendance options. Rinpoche’s teaching will focus on the Bon Dzogchen tögal practices of sun and sky gazing. First the practitioner stabilizes the mind through trekchö meditation that cuts through mental elaborations and supports the experience of rigpa, the natural state of mind. Then the tögal practices combine meditation in the natural state with gazing at the clear open sky or the sun’s rays. These tögal practices support the practitioner to directly experience clear light and work with the visions that spontaneously arise from the natural state. Why This Teaching is Unique: Rare opportunity to receive authentic Bön Dzogchen instruction in the West Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche is one of the foremost Bön masters teaching in English Direct transmission of practices typically reserved for advanced retreatants Integration of sky gazing, sun gazing, and dark retreat methodologies This Dzogchen teaching is open to all. Early Bird discount ($250) available for registrations before August 7! REGISTER HERE Pre-retreat offering: Prior to this weekend retreat, Dr. Ale Chaoul will offer a 3-day teaching to support interested students to stabilize their meditative state through dzogchen practices of trekchö.
You are warmly invited to join Dr. Ale Chaoul for a three-day retreat designed to prepare the body, breath, and awareness in readiness for Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche’s Tögal teachings on sky and sun-gazing. Over three days, we will enter a space of deepening presence through essential practices: establishing a sacred boundary, engaging the Tsa Lung movements, resting in the Dzogchen practice of contemplative breathing, and the union of three spaces (heart, eyes, sky). These practices are gateways—softening habitual patterns and guiding us toward a direct glimpse of the natural state of mind: open, luminous, and endowed with the qualities of loving kindness, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity. Through learning and practicing together for 3 days, you will gently become more familiar with both the methods and the innate wisdom that is already within you—your natural state of mind. Arriving a few days early also provides us a soft landing into retreat; to settle the body, quiet the mind, and open the heart. In this way, we will prepare the ground to receive more deeply the precious and subtle teachings of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. These preperatory teachings are optional but highly encouraged.
