🏌️ OpenAI just dropped a challenge called Parameter Golf. And it's one of the most interesting ML competitions we’ve seen. • Build the language mode under 16MB (weights + training code, combined) • Train in under 10 minutes on 8×H100 GPUs • Be evaluated on bits per byte (BPB) — tokenizer-agnostic compression on the FineWeb dataset. The baseline: A 9-layer, 512-dim transformer with 1024-token vocab, grouped query attention, and tied embeddings. It hits 1.2244 BPB at 15.9MB. If you're building local agents, doing computer vision at the edge, this is your chance.
