  • The Conversation Then Thunder came in and tried to solve things. He asked me privately whether I wanted to keep the friendship or not. At that moment, I said no. I knew things had already become painful, and I thought maybe ending everything was the right thing to do. But then, when I came into the conference, I said that I wanted to stay. I didn't even know what I was doing anymore. I had said I would stay, but I didn't know how to talk to you after everything that had happened. You were the first person to come back. And that somehow made everything even harder. How was I supposed to talk to you after we had almost ended everything? After all those fights? After all the disappointment? I didn't know. So I stopped talking. And that became another mistake. Why I Left The reason I left wasn't because of some other girl. There wasn't a single girl who made me leave you. The real reason was the disappointment I could see in your eyes because of me. I knew I had hurt you. I knew things weren't the same anymore. And instead of fixing what I had broken, I ran away from it. That was the easiest thing for me to do. Leaving was easier than facing what I had done. But easier doesn't mean right. I'm sorry. I know saying sorry doesn't fix anything. I can't go back and change the past. I can't undo the things I said. I can't erase the moments where I made you feel hurt, disappointed, or unwanted. And I don't want to play the sympathy card either. I was wrong from the beginning. I was old enough to understand what I was doing. I was learning, yes—but I was learning while hurting someone else. That doesn't make me a victim. It makes me responsible. I wish I had never entered your life back then. I wish I had never asked you for anything. I wish I had never said certain things. Maybe then none of this would have happened. But wishing doesn't change the past. All I can do is admit that I was wrong. I'm not blaming you. I'm not asking you to forgive me. I'm not asking for anything. I only wanted to clear the misunderstanding. That's it. I hope someday you can move forward without carrying everything that happened between us. Thank you. And I'm sorry. What Happened After October? Nothing much. He got work. He got busy. She came back. He proposed. END. A Story by Ayan All rights reserved, 2026

  • Regret: 18/19 March 2024 We both don't remember the exact date, but it was somewhere around 18 or 19 March 2024. You joined the GC. We talked, and I don't even remember what we talked about at first. After a few days, you shifted to Chandigarh for NEET and left the GC. Before leaving, you gave me your Snapchat ID. Then we started talking on Snapchat. One day, I kept asking you for your WhatsApp number. Eventually, you gave it to me, and that's when we started texting there. I don't remember exactly when you started calling me, but I remember that around June or July, I used to go to a certain place in the evening just so I could call you. We used to talk about normal things. "What are you doing?" "What happened today?" "What are you going to do?" We talked about your friends, your PG, random things about your life, even that guard you used to mention. I remember only pieces of it now. Then there was the time when your health got worse. You told me that you had some illness, but you never told me exactly what had happened. Whatever it was, you kept talking to me. You never told me the full truth about your condition. I only found out about it in the end of our story. June–September 2024 Meanwhile, I was being an absolute idiot. I don't even know what I was doing with my life. I kept getting desperate for a girlfriend. One relationship after another, each lasting barely a week before falling apart. And through all of that, I was hiding things from you. I never told you when I got a girlfriend. I never told you when we broke up. I don't know why I kept hiding those things. Maybe I was scared of how you'd react. Maybe I didn't want you to see that side of me. But I was always desperate to find someone. At one point, I even asked you to become my girlfriend. You said no. You told me that you'd probably love me more than a girlfriend would. So I left the topic there. But somewhere inside me, there was still this stupid hope that maybe one day things would change. The friendship continued with almost the same energy as before. At least, that's how I remember it. I don't remember exactly when things started going wrong, but eventually you told me that I used to trouble you a lot and that I had caused problems for you. And honestly? You were right. I wasn't the victim in this story. I was the one who caused the problems. I was immature, careless, and too busy learning things the wrong way while destroying something that actually mattered. The Number Incident 2026 Even now, I think about one thing. What was wrong with sharing a number with a friend just to ask about your condition? You had rejected me, yes. But rejection doesn't magically erase feelings. I'm terrible at keeping my own promises. I say big things and then fail to follow them. I had even said that maybe we would never talk again. But even then, I could still ask how you were doing. I shouldn't have gone around the situation by asking some random person to message you after saying there would be no contact. That was my mistake. You had every right to be angry with me. You had every right to blame me. And I can't change that now. October 2024 Everything somehow continued until September. Then I slowly stopped believing that things between us would ever become normal again. There was still a part of me that desperately wanted a girlfriend. And then came October. A girl accepted my request. I didn't completely hide it from you. I told you that I had talked to someone, even though it wasn't anything serious. But it was still another person entering the situation. Then, around October 13, we had a fight. You sent me a picture of Samay. And somehow, I got jealous over a YouTuber. Looking back at it now, it sounds ridiculous. But at that time, I let my emotions take control. We fought. And eventually, both of us stopped talking. Everything fell apart.
