So remember this??? So it's time Choose the day which suits you the most🫡
We’re getting ready for our first Jegol event. The idea is simple: bring together artists, art lovers, and people who want to spend an evening around creativity and good company. There’ll be artwork from local artists on display, some painting, a small competition for anyone who wants to participate, and a few other things we’ll keep as a surprise for now. Before we lock everything in, we want you to help us choose the day. Vote in the poll below and let us know which works better for you. More details soon. Location: Jazz Coffee, Mekanisa, in front of Sido Building @jegolcreators

Today's read: The Ecstatic Swoon As Stendhal knew, the reason for art is to make you feel. Do not try to grasp the artwork: allow it to grasp you instead. Once I enter a museum, I stroll along the galleries, hands clasped behind my back as I scan the walls. When I do stop in front of a painting, I almost always turn to the information plaque next to it before the painting itself, spending more time reading the description than I do gazing at the painting. It is as if I am more intent on framing its place in history than I am on the painting inside the frame. And I look at other visitors as they look at the paintings, wearing ear buds or holding a guidebook, and photographing the works and, just as often, themselves in front of them. Are they, I wonder, more or less serious than I am? ‘When you go to the library, you don’t walk along the shelves looking at the spines of books and on your way out tweet to friends, “I read 100 books today!’’’ ‘I am not saying that all passionate people are good painters,’ Beyle wrote. ‘I am instead saying that all great artists have been passionate men.’ ‘La beauté n’est que la promesse du bonheur.’
Smn new I've been working on
God is watching; he will save us if we obey. We were created to worship something higher than ourselves. But deep down, we've always known that was a lie. The prayers were silenced, the commandments were cages, and the light... the light only ever burned us. The truth is older than scripture and more terrifying than heresy. We are not here to serve; we are here to ascend. And to ascend, we must do the unthinkable: we must kill God. This is the opening line from Pantheon Mythology's video about the Left Hand Path. I have read about that way of living many times, but for me, this video offers a very interesting, different perspective on that way of life. I think you guys will enjoy it. https://youtu.be/gthPKc4-XMU?si=KnlqCifAG2vv07W2 PS: I am not in complete agreement with his view, but it is interesting nonetheless. @confusednotengineer
