The holiday season often brings with it a lot of excitement, but it can also come with its own share of stress. Between gift shopping, school breaks, and the pressure to make everything perfect, it’s easy to get distracted. But one of the most precious things we can do during this time is to prioritize our families and the moments we get to spend with them. Family time during the holidays isn’t just about sitting around a table or exchanging presents. It’s about creating memories, sharing laughter, and strengthening the bonds that God has placed in our lives. Whether your family is big or small, close or distant, the time you spend together is a gift. It’s an opportunity to show love, support, and appreciation for one another. God created families to support and encourage one another. The holidays are a perfect time to do just that. Make the most of every minute you have with your family this holiday season. “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” - Psalm 133:1
It’s easy to get frustrated when things don’t go our way or when life feels like it’s moving too slowly. We live in a world that values quick results, instant messages, and immediate gratification. Yet, patience reminds us that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. Patience is not about waiting without complaining; it’s about trusting God in the waiting. It’s about learning to be calm and steadfast in the midst of uncertainty, knowing that God is at work in our lives. Just as a seed takes time to grow into a strong tree, so does our faith need time to develop into maturity. Through each delay or challenge, God is shaping our character and preparing us for something better. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance (patience), kindness, goodness, faithfulness…” - Galatians 5:22
It’s easy to take the time we have with family for granted. We can become consumed with work, social obligations, and personal goals. Before we know it, days or even weeks pass by without spending meaningful time with those we love most. Family is a gift, and it’s essential to honor, cherish, and invest in those relationships. Time spent with family isn’t just about being physically present, it’s about nurturing, building trust, and growing in love. Children are called to honor and obey their parents, and parents are called to lead with patience, teaching and guiding their children in the ways of the Lord. This mutual respect and love create a foundation where family members can thrive, spiritually and emotionally. Spending time with family is an investment in the hearts of those we love and a reflection of God’s love for us. It’s not always perfect, but it’s through these connections that we grow, learn, and share in the joy of community. “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” - Ephesians 6:1-4
Grace is often described as undeserved favor. It’s what God has shown us through Jesus Christ by giving us forgiveness and love we could never earn. As we’ve received grace, we’re called to give it freely to others. In a world where judgment, frustration, and impatience seem to be in abundance, extending grace to others is a radical choice. It’s easy to focus on people’s shortcomings, to let offenses build up, and to carry resentment. But God calls us to do something different. He invites us to reflect His character by choosing to forgive and show compassion, especially when it’s hard. When we extend grace to others, we acknowledge that we too have needed grace in our lives. We release the power of resentment and allow God’s love to flow through us. It doesn’t mean ignoring wrongs, but it means choosing to let go of bitterness and offering the same mercy we’ve received. In the moments when someone’s actions rub us the wrong way, or we feel hurt by a friend or coworker, let’s remember this truth…we are ALL in need of grace. When we forgive, we’re not only setting others free, we’re setting ourselves free from the burden of unforgiveness. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” - Ephesians 4:32
The Heart of Love. Ever wonder why we close our eyes when we pray, laugh, cry, hug, kiss, or have a dream? I believe it is in these moments in our life, whether in joy or sorrow that the impact love has is most felt and is kept deep in our hearts. Our mind may not remember some details over time but our heart will, all by Gods design. 🕊️Matt 22:37 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 🕊️Prov 3:3-4 Let love and faithfulness never leave you, bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. 🕊️1 Peter 4:8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 🕊️Matt 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 🙏 LORD, may we have our heart filled with your love, joy and peace and blessed with beautiful moments writing on the tablet of our heart, drawing us closer to you and each other. Update on my coworkers mom, Mary. She is the one who had a stroke 11/18 and needed emergency surgery. They just moved her into a nursing home for Rehabilitation. She is speaking better and getting therapy every other day. Still no use of her left arm. She has a feeding tube and misses being able to eat regular food. Overall She is doing well and thankful for the prayers.

Making the most of today begins with a mindset shift. We can start by seeing each day as an opportunity to glorify God, to love others and to grow in our faith. Be kind, choose to be of service and take a moment to reflect on His goodness. We don’t know what tomorrow holds, but we do have today. In this moment, we have the opportunity to choose how we spend our time. We can make it count. We can choose to live with intention, gratitude, and joy. As you go about your day, remember that every action, no matter how small, is an opportunity to reflect God’s love. Seek His guidance in your decisions, thank Him for the gift of this day, and live fully in the moment, knowing that each day brings new mercies and new chances to be His light in the world. “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” - Psalm 90:12
Gratitude is more than just saying “thank you”, it’s a posture of the heart that acknowledges the goodness of God in everything we do. Gratitude shifts our focus from what we lack to what we’ve been given. It reminds us that, even in tough times, God’s faithfulness and blessings are still present. When we cultivate a grateful heart, we begin to see His hand in the everyday moments, whether in the laughter of loved ones, the beauty of creation, or the peace He provides through challenges. Today, take a moment to reflect on the countless ways God has shown His love. What are you grateful for right now? When we choose gratitude, we honor God, align our hearts with His will, and experience peace that surpasses understanding. Gratitude turns ordinary moments into sacred ones. “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Life can sometimes feel like it’s constantly pulling us down. But as believers, we are called to stay focused on the positive, not because everything around us is always easy, but because God’s promises are greater than our circumstances. Staying positive isn’t about pretending everything is okay, it’s about choosing to focus on God’s truth. God’s Word reminds us that He is always with us (Isaiah 41:10) and that we can find peace in Him, even when the storm rages (John 16:33). Choosing positivity means trusting that God will bring good out of the tough situations we face, as He promises in Romans 8:28. Today, whatever challenges you’re facing, remember that your identity is not tied to your circumstances. You are a child of God, deeply loved, and surrounded by His grace. Let His peace guard your heart and mind as you focus on the things that are noble, right, and praiseworthy. Let that be the lens through which you see your day. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” - Philippians 4:8
Some days feel heavier than others. You may not have all the answers or the energy you think you need, but God does. He doesn’t ask you to be strong on your own. Instead, He invites you to lean on Him, to trust that He will supply the strength you lack. When you feel weary, remember that God is not watching from a distance. He is your shield, your support, and your source of courage. Each step you take today is carried by His strength, not your own. You only need to take the next faithful step, and He will meet you there. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” - Psalm 28:7
Generosity is a reflection of God’s own heart. It is not just about giving money or possessions, but about offering our time, energy, love, and resources with a willing spirit. When we choose to live generously, we are participating in God’s work in the world, and we reflect His character in a tangible way. Today, look for opportunities to be generous in small ways. Whether it’s sharing a kind word, helping someone in need, or simply offering your time, know that God loves a cheerful giver and that your generosity is making a difference in the lives of others and in your own heart. “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” - 2 Corinthians 9:7

Lord, help me to live with a deep awareness of the preciousness of each day. Teach me to focus on what is eternal and to make the most of the time I have. Faith is choosing to trust God even when we cannot see the outcome. It is not denial of reality, it is confidence that God is at work within our reality. Faith grows strongest in uncertainty, because that is where we learn to lean on God rather than our own understanding. Today, you may be facing your own storm: unanswered questions, waiting seasons, or impossible obstacles. Faith does not promise instant answers, but it does promise a faithful God who walks with you. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” - 2 Corinthians 5:7
In a world that often feels unpredictable and overwhelming, fear can be a natural response. Yet fear does not come from God. Instead, God gives us His Spirit, and with it, comes a power that transforms fear into faith, a love that casts out anxiety, and a sound mind that provides clarity in chaos. In your moments of fear, remember, you are not alone. God has equipped you with His Spirit, and in His Spirit, you have the strength, love, and clarity you need to face anything. Don’t let fear control you, allow the power of God’s love and the soundness of His mind to guide you each day. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
