GLOBAL MONDAY BIBLE STUDY INFORMATION MONDAY AUGUST 17, 2026 GHS 27: I AM BOUND FOR CANAAN BIBLE READING: 1 CHRONICLES 6 THANKS AND GOD BLESS YOU ©️DCLM LAGOS HQ
DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY (SINCERE MILK: Children Daily Devotional Guide 2⃣0⃣2⃣6️⃣) 🙇🏼🙇🏼🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇🏼🙇♀️🙇🏼🙇♀️🙇🏼♂️ MONDAY 17TH AUGUST, 2026 THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS - 2 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️👿❌🫷🏽🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽 📜📜MATTHEW 4:5-7📜📜 🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻 🔑📖 Key Verse: "Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God" (Matthew 4:7). 📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖 Satan does not give up easily in the temptations he brings in the way of God's children. Jesus defeated him with the written word in the first temptation, but he did not stop there. Satan knows that Jesus is the Son of the most high God who has power to defeat him, yet he continued with the temptations. As God, who came in the form of man, Jesus Christ did not seek to be praised for being powerful or possessing the ability to keep Himself safe from harm. He knew that Satan wanted Him to do what he said, but Jesus is wiser and more knowledgeable than Satan. He refused to fall for the craftiness of the devil. As a friend of Jesus, the word of God must dwell richly in your heart. You need it all the time to help you overcome Satan. If Satan was not afraid to tempt Jesus and challenge His faith in God, he can tempt any believer. Satan knows the scriptures but often misapplies them. He uses them to counter God and deceive friends of Jesus who are not strong in the Lord or who do not understand God's word very well. Always ask the Holy Spirit to interpret the word of God to you as you read and meditate on it. Without understanding, you cannot apply it correctly. Jesus knew the word, in fact, He is the Word, so He was not deceived by Satan. Fill your heart with the word of God. Fill your spirit with the boldness of God, and let the power of God's word in your life give you victory over every temptation of Satan. Only true friends of Jesus can have true victory. Become one today, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Him. 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 🅿️rayer: Father, please help me to overcome Satan's temptations through Your word. 🙏🏽 📖 Further Reading: Deuteronomy 6:16 Watch a video devoted to today's Sincere Milk topic @ https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS The Temptation Of Jesus - 2 https://dailymanna.app// TXD @THEXDEVOTIONALS on Twitter #SincereMilk17thAugust2026 #GCK #WorshipNuggets #BibleNuggets #LeadershipNuggets #RevivalNuggets #CrusadeNuggets https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS
DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS) ✍🏽👩🏻💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 MONDAY 17TH AUGUST, 2026 VISION FOR MISSION 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️👀👁️🫡🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽 📜📜TEXT: ACTS 26:16-19📜📜 📖 MEMORY VERSE: "But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee" (ACTS 26:16). According to Google's English Dictionary, vision can be defined as "the ability to think about a plan for the future with imagination or wisdom", and mission on the other hand as "the vocation or calling of a religious organization, especially a Christian one, to go out into the world and spread its faith." In our text, God charged Paul to carry out his missionary mandate at all cost - "But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee" (Acts 26:16). God was definite about His command to His servant Paul concerning the missionary assignment. Evangelism is the great commission for the church. Youths should have vision for mission because they are part of the body of Christ whom the Lord is depending on for the end-time harvest. You have to be born again to partner with God before you can accomplish this mission, because without Him you can do nothing. 💬 QUOTE: Partner with God. 🏆 CHALLENGE: Have vision for mission. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 PRAYER: Lord, help me to accomplish my mission. DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY DAILY Ⓜ️ANNA - (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR ADULTS) MONDAY 17TH AUGUST, 2026 RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 66: JESUS IS THE SWEETEST NAME I KNOW; GHS 65: O HOW I LOVE JESUS; AND GHS 67: MY JESUS I LOVE THEE HIS NAME JESUS 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️✝️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜TEXT: MATTHEW 1:18-25📜📜 🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins" (MATTHEW 1:21). In Scripture, names aren't just labels - they are declarations of identity, destiny, and divine calling. In several cases, God revealed His plans by changing someone's name: Abram became Abraham, Sarai became Sarah, Jacob became Israel, and Simon became Peter. What we are called often reflects what we are becoming in God's hands. The angel that announced the birth of Christ declared, "...and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins", denoting His mission on earth. Matthew's account of the event begins and ends with the miraculous - the conception of the Virgin Mary, the angelic visitation, and the disposition of Joseph. All these point to the uniqueness and supremacy of Christ. It is this colossal event that explains Paul's assertive thought in his epistle to the Colossians, "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily". It should be noted here that even though we don't have to pry into the mysteries of Christ's incarnation, that event was a necessary condition for the redemption of humanity. Notice also that God chose to use a devout virgin who was espoused to Joseph, a religious, good man. It was therefore easy for God's angel to convince them and extract compliance with the divine plan. The whole of these events accorded with prophecies given much earlier than the time. The birth of Jesus is the vehicle of joy into troubled, sin-sick and suffering hearts. His Name portends His mission, ministry and mandate. He is Emmanuel (God with us), and Jesus (Saviour). A few decades later, Peter would affirmatively declare before the Sanhedrin that "...There is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). The Jewish world had long awaited the Messiah with bated breath but, and sadly so, the greater part of the population could not come to terms with the God-incarnate Saviour cradled in the manger surrounded with bleating sheep. That could not stop God's redemptive plan. Whatever you make of this narrative, it must not be lost on you that Jesus came to save humankind from the grip of sin and its consequences. This also goes with freedom from demonic manipulations and satanic oppression, sickness and destiny-destruction. The question is, has the purpose of Christ's incarnation been fulfilled in your life? If not, why not? ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It cost heaven so much to procure our salvation. 📜📜THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: JOB 31-34📜📜 Watch a video devoted to today's Daily Manna topic @ https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS His Name Jesus https://dailymanna.app// TXD @THEXDEVOTIONALS on Twitter #DailyManna17thAugust2026 #GCK #WorshipNuggets #BibleNuggets #LeadershipNuggets #RevivalNuggets #CrusadeNuggets https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS

DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY (SINCERE MILK: Children Daily Devotional Guide 2⃣0⃣2⃣6️⃣) 🙇🏼🙇🏼🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇🏼🙇♀️🙇🏼🙇♀️🙇🏼♂️ SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST, 2026 THE TEMPTATION OF JESUS - 1 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️👿❌🫷🏽🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽 📜📜MATTHEW 4:1-4📜📜 🕔📚🖋️🚻😁🎼🏆🍉🪴🌈💻 🔑📖 Key Verse: "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Matthew 4:4). 📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖📖 The temptation of Jesus is not a parable, neither is it just a story in the Bible. It was a real-life experience recorded for us to read and understand that Jesus lived in human form. Jesus Christ was born to save sinners from their sins and reconcile them back to God after the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. Satan, who caused the fall of man was not happy about it. He wanted to stop Jesus by bringing temptations His way. Being tempted is not a sin, but falling into temptation makes someone to become an enemy of God. Satan knew that Jesus had fasted for forty days and forty nights, and He was hungry (this shows the human side of Jesus). He tempted Jesus with what He needed most at that particular time (food). That is what Satan does. He looks for a time when you have a particular need and brings an ungodly suggestion to you to meet the need. Jesus did not fall into the temptation because He had the Spirit of God in Him. He also knew the word of God and He used it against Satan. The word of God is the believer's armour against the wiles of Satan. If Jesus yielded to that temptation, the whole of mankind would have been doomed forever. As a friend of Jesus, walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the desires of the flesh. Also, keep the word of God in your heart so that you can use it when there is need for it. Choose to obey God rather than Satan, and God will help you to be victorious over the enemy. 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 🅿️rayer: Lord, help me to put my need for spiritual food far above my need for physical food. 🙏🏽 📖 Further Reading: Deuteronomy 8:3 Watch a video devoted to today's Sincere Milk topic @ https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS The Temptation Of Jesus - 1 https://dailymanna.app// TXD @THEXDEVOTIONALS on Twitter #SincereMilk16thAugust2026 #GCK #WorshipNuggets #BibleNuggets #LeadershipNuggets #RevivalNuggets #CrusadeNuggets https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS

Hannah is one of the matriarchs of faith in the Bible. Thus, the story of Hannah and how she conceived Samuel is a story of faith, patience and dependence on God. It shows the faithfulness of God in granting the request of His children who are committed to His will and plans. Hannah went through difficult times but remained steadfast and resolute about her dedication to God. She did not allow the situation to control her but was firm. Beloved, you may be going through some pains now waiting on God, believing Him for admission into the higher institution, healing, salvation of family members, and so on. The situation may be challenging, but if only you can believe just like Hannah did, it is not a time to be distracted. Believe the promises of God and He will grant your heart desires at the right time. Make your waiting time a time of sober reflections on the goodness of God. Read the Bible to learn how others like Hannah overcame their challenges. Remember, God has good thoughts towards you. 💬 QUOTE: God has good thoughts towards you. 🏆 CHALLENGE: Be patient like Hannah. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 PRAYER: Lord, help me to wait on You. DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY DAILY Ⓜ️ANNA - (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR ADULTS) SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST, 2026 RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 9: GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS; GHS 10: OH, FOR A THOUSAND TONGUES TO SING; GHS 12: PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM!; AND GHS 13: TO GOD BE THE GLORY BLIGHT OF INGRATITUDE 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🤨❌🙏🏽🙌🏽✅ 📜📜TEXT: LUKE 17:11-19📜📜 🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger" (LUKE 17:17, 18). Ancient Israel had no answer to the scourge of certain diseases, especially the disease of leprosy. Medical science offered little help in combating this dreaded condition, which kept its victims away from decent society. There was no relief except by divine intervention. Jesus told the ten lepers: "Go shew yourselves unto the priests". This was because after a leper was cleansed of the disease, he was to present himself to a priest to be confirmed clean. Now on their way to the priest, they were cleansed. Overwhelmed by joy at this discovery, one of them turned back and came to Christ to give glory to God. The rest went away with their healing and forgot the Healer. It is good to note that the one who went back was a Samaritan whose nation the Jews regarded as sinful. The passage teaches us some profound lessons: One, Jesus remains the source of genuine cleansing and perfect healing. Two, believers are under obligation to return thanks to God for all His benefits and blessings. While one leper was grateful for his healing, the others showed no such appreciation. Their ingratitude pictures how many people often forget all that God bestows upon them both spiritually and physically only to continue to ask for more. How often do you say: 'Thank you, Jesus'? As it is in the spiritual, so it is in the physical; we must show appreciation for the good people do unto us. An ungrateful "believer" is a blight to the Christian faith. We need to constantly show appreciation to God for His manifold blessings in our lives! Those who fail to appreciate God's goodness to them or lightly esteem the displayed love of others are not a true representative of the unique identity of Christ who is praise and gratitude personified. ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Gratitude is a noble attitude that blesses both ways. 📜📜THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: JOB 26-30📜📜 Watch a video devoted to today's Daily Manna topic @ https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS Blight Of Ingratitude https://dailymanna.app// TXD @THEXDEVOTIONALS on Twitter #DailyManna16thAugust2026 #GCK #WorshipNuggets #BibleNuggets #LeadershipNuggets #RevivalNuggets #CrusadeNuggets https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS

We have a lot of time on earth, but it won't last forever. Our time here will end at some point. Therefore, we must use our time wisely. That requires good planning. Proper use of your time will help you make the most of opportunities and succeed in life. There's a time for school, homework, play, house chores, and rest. Make time for prayer and Bible reading. Do the right thing when it is needed. Don't waste all your time on phones, television and games. Say no to procrastination. God does everything at the right time. He sent Jesus to die for your sins at the right time. Any time from now, the rapture will take place. The opportunity to repent and be saved won't last forever. Once the rapture happens, it will be too late. If you are still living in disobedience, the right time for you to sincerely repent and be saved is now! 🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥🍥 🅿️rayer: Dear Father, help me to be wise and to do the right thing at the right time. 🙏🏽 📖 Further Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:2 Watch a video devoted to today's Sincere Milk topic @ https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS Time Is A Gift https://dailymanna.app// TXD @THEXDEVOTIONALS on Twitter #SincereMilk15thAugust2026 #GCK #WorshipNuggets #BibleNuggets #LeadershipNuggets #RevivalNuggets #CrusadeNuggets https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS
DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY HIGHER EVERYD🅰️Y: (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR YOUTHS) ✍🏽👩🏻💼🌻 🍇🙏🏽🛰🚀🔬📚 SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST, 2026 THE TREASURE IN TIMOTHY 🎚️📓📖🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🙏🏽 📜📜TEXT: PHILIPPIANS 2:19-24📜📜 📖 MEMORY VERSE: "But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state" (PHILIPPIANS 2:19-20). Timothy was a youth and spiritual son of Apostle Paul. He possessed excellent qualities that are missing in the lives of many youths today. Timothy's life and work in the body of Christ was so remarkable that Paul confirmed that there was none that was like-minded like Timothy in following godly examples. Timothy was a selfless minister whom Paul trusted to take care of the church in Philippi. Many so-called Christian youths are selfish and only think about their comfort. The Lord expects us to live a sacrificial life to edify the body of Christ and to win sinners to the kingdom. As a student, you can share what you have with your friends as it is more blessed to give than to receive. You also need to share the gospel of Christ with your unbelieving friends to help them to see the need of surrendering their lives to Christ. We are talking about Timothy today because he had a good and godly treasure that helped to achieve much in his ministry. Are you trustworthy like Timothy? 💬 QUOTE: Timothy was a selfless minister. 🏆 CHALLENGE: Be a selfless believer. 🙏🏽🙏🏽 PRAYER: Lord, help me to be selfless and trustworthy. DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY DAILY Ⓜ️ANNA - (A DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE FOR ADULTS) SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST, 2026 RECOMMENDED GOSPEL HYMNS AND SONGS - GHS 1: ALL YOUR ANXIETY; GHS 7: TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS; AND GHS 167: I MUST TELL JESUS QUEST FOR REVIVAL 📓📖🎚️🫵🏽🙋🏽♂️🙋🏽♀️🧎🏽🧎🏽♀️🗣️🙏🏽🙌🏽 📜📜TEXT: HABAKKUK 3:1-2📜📜 🔑📖 KEY VERSE: "O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy" (HABAKKUK 3:2). Reviewing the history of revivals in Christendom, English author and theologian, Os Guinness, states that these spontaneous supernatural acts occur during turbulent times. Examining the periods of the Christian Reformation, Revival, and Renaissance, he concludes that the darkest hour is often just before the dawn. Consequently, we should always be people of hope and prayer rather than gloom and defeatism. God can turn the situation around in a moment. The cleric took lessons from the experience of Habakkuk, the prophet who was struck with terror on learning from the Lord that the land of Judah would be attacked by the fierce Chaldean troops from Babylon. Already disturbed by the iniquities of injustice and impunity around him, on which he expected the Lord to act, Habakkuk was now informed that more disquietude was on the way. The prophet was made to understand that even the Chaldeans, who were to be used as an instrument of punishment, were themselves to face the wrath of God for their wickedness. His anxiety was relieved when he realised that the God of mercy he served was at the point of reviving His people in the process. He went on to intercede for precisely that. With humanity now also traumatised by sporadic assaults coming through technological inventions like Artificial Intelligence (AI), wars, insecurity, dysfunctional governance, threats of nuclear conflagration, there are fears that man is on the brink, looking into the bottomless abyss. Really? Not so. The Christian is challenged, rather, like Habakkuk, to plead for revival among the turmoil. It is the hour to ask for an unprecedented move of God's Spirit in the world, an event that should usher multitudes to repentance and turning to Christ for succour in trying times. The Lord's second coming is imminent, going by the signs we are witnessing. It is a timely call for vigilant heaven-seeking Christians to strengthen their commitment to holiness, evangelism, study of God's word, fellowship, and acts of kindness. We shouldn't be despondent as we observe the events that signal the end-time; instead, we should discern revival on the horizon. ✍🏽 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Current global upheavals are not for our anxiety, but for our action. 📜📜THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: JOB 22-25📜📜 Watch a video devoted to today's Daily Manna topic @ https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS Quest For Revival https://dailymanna.app// TXD @THEXDEVOTIONALS on Twitter #DailyManna15thAugust2026 #GCK #WorshipNuggets #BibleNuggets #LeadershipNuggets #RevivalNuggets #CrusadeNuggets https://www.youtube.com/@THEXDEVOTIONALS
