Okay I need to share this because the amount of work behind it was actually insane 😅 Just finished building a multi-tenant Google Calendar + Sheets integration for a CRM project, and it's finally working perfectly. The idea, whenever someone visits a business's site and books an appointment, a webhook fires and everything happens automatically, the appointment gets scheduled on the owner's Google Calendar, logged into a Google Sheet, a confirmation email & SMS goes out, and blocked times/dates get managed so there's no double-booking. There's even a little CRM layer on top so businesses can send reminders, see the overall flow and their analytics automatically. Originally the Google setup was super clunky, business owners had to go into Google Cloud, grab their secret keys, and manually configure everything in the CRM dashboard. Way too much friction. So I rebuilt it so they can just hit "Connect with Google," approve access, pick their scopes, and they're done. Proper OAuth flow, the way it should be.

Article of the day I am sure, there is a lot more, but hey! couple of hours to learn is not bad for a start. I can say I like some semantics here. It also sort of re-wires my brain a bit. At the end a langauge should be the right tool used for the right job. Here are some of my takeaways from today. Memory Management through Ownership: Unlike Java’s Garbage Collector (GC), Rust manages memory using an ownership system. Each value has a single owner, and when the owner goes out of scope, the memory is freed. Assigning a value to a new variable moves ownership, invalidating the original variable.
