The feeling of memory is an illusion on LLMs. when the first time I understood that LLMs are stateless, I was really surprised and confused at the same time. since when I chat with gpt or claude it perfectly remembers our past conversations. but I realized thats a whole trick when I build AI agent myself. You know the thing is the model has no memory at all. It doesnt even remember the conversations you had 30 seconds ago. what happens is everytime you send a prompt the entire conversation gets bundled up and sent again. then the model reads fresh, gives you response and again forgets it all in an instant. Its like if you watch the movie "memento" the guy who forgets everything after a minute. so its similar to that. and this is the most important thing u need to understand which brings you to the difference between the prompt, the context, and the harness, whether you're building an AI agent for specific purpose or you're choosing IDEs for building products since it matters a lot. @devabstack

A friend of mine got his phone stolen, and apparently that wasn’t a good enough excuse to stop replying to my Telegram messages So I built TeleLite , a small, self-hosted Telegram client for feature phones. The problem is that just telling someone to “use Telegram Web” doesn’t really work on these phones. Modern Telegram Web relies heavily on JavaScript and a pretty heavy web app, which is a lot to ask from an old Java phone or a low-power device. You can access Telegram through: A lightweight web client A J2ME .jar app for old Java phones A KaiOS app(not tested because the emulator didnt work well) It’s text-only, lightweight, and designed for those “my smartphone is lost/stolen/broken” situations god forbid 😭 It might actually come in handy someday, so take it, self-host it, break it, improve it, whatever. Guys instead of downloading full app on ur pc it is better to install PWA version of the app if the app has website version. I use most apps on this way like X, youtube , tg, ig...and its completely similar with the traditional app. It saves ur storage almost no storage u save ur RAM cuz it runs on the browser as a separate window also there is no need to constantly update the app since it updates itself everytime u open it. The other day my claude app stopped working in my pc and i installed this version now it works great there is no need to carry every app in ur pc. @devabstack
