⬛️ BE[IN]CRYPTO: Новости/аналитика | Сообщество | Чат

I’m happy to share that I’ve joined the MENA FINTECH ASSOCIATION as a member 😊 For me, this is a very natural next step in continuing to deepen my understanding of the payments, banking, and fintech landscape across the MENA region. Over the past years, I’ve been increasingly interested in how this market is developing: the speed of fintech adoption, the role of regulators, the growth of cross-border payments, digital banking, embedded finance, and crypto-fiat infrastructure. What makes MENA especially interesting is not only the growth potential itself, but the combination of several factors happening at the same time: - Strong business demand - Regulatory evolution - Investment into financial infrastructure - A very international client base I’m looking forward to engaging more with local businesses, fintech players, banks, payment companies, and industry experts — including through working groups and community initiatives. I believe MENA will remain one of the most dynamic regions for the future of payments and banking, and I’m excited to contribute to this conversation more actively. For me, this is not just a membership — it’s a commitment to understand the region from inside the market, not from the outside. Grateful to become part of the community 😵 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

Continuing the discussion around regulation and the size of the payments market in Russia, I’d like to share a major piece published by BeInCrypto 🎯 Together with leading experts from the Russian market, including Andrey Tugarin, Greg K, Dmitry Machikhin, Elizaveta Lobuteva, Vladimir Gorgadze, Max Lighter, we explored how things actually work today in practice: → foreign trade and cross-border payments → payments between residents and non-residents → alternative payment routes → the experimental regime → settlements using digital assets → current limitations, risks, and possible market development scenarios In practice, behind the terms “cross-border payments”, “crypto-fiat infrastructure”, and “alternative rails” lies a highly complex operational reality: • not yet fully shaped from a regulatory perspective, • already functioning in practice, • generating real revenue, but still extremely unclear for those who are only beginning to study this market. This is exactly why it is important to discuss not only “what may be possible in theory”, but how it actually works in the market today. For everyone working in payments, crypto-fiat infrastructure, banking infrastructure, or simply following how cross-border settlements are being reshaped — I’m sharing the article here. 📌 Read the full article about cross-border payments in Russia, BeInCrypto: https://lnkd.in/dMcpnaYX Would be curious to hear your thoughts: how do you see the future of cross-border payments in Russia — through banks, digital assets, experimental regimes, or a hybrid model 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

Compiled my top posts for everyone working in fintech and crypto who wants to understand the market deeper than most 💰 1. Russia is introducing crypto licensing. The question is not whether it gets allowed or banned. It is about who survives the new model. → READ 2. MiCA and Russian crypto regulation look similar on the surface. Underneath, the logic is fundamentally different. And that changes everything for anyone building crypto infrastructure. → READ 3. Money is not ownership. It is permission. Once you see that, it becomes clear what the real battle in finance is actually about. → READ 4. Something more important than geopolitics is quietly happening in the GCC. AI is becoming financial infrastructure, and not in the conference slideshow sense. → READ 5. "Europe is getting too complex, let's just go with a Canadian MSB" is a popular strategy. And an increasingly dangerous illusion. → READ If you are building anything in fintech or crypto, these topics are directly relevant to you. Save it, read it, share it with whoever needs it 🤑 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

  • Happy to share that I’ll be joining BlockchainX Istanbul and taking part in the panel discussion “The Future of Payments and Digital Finance.” 😎 Together with Cem Sağlam, Miray Ozel, Eray Yakar, Boris Povar we’ll discuss how payments, digital finance, crypto infrastructure, stablecoins, and new financial rails are reshaping the way businesses move money globally. For me, this topic is especially important because the future of payments is no longer only about speed or cost. It is about infrastructure, interoperability between fiat and crypto, compliance that enables business instead of slowing it down and many other bullet points. See you in Istanbul 🇹🇷 P.S. I’ll be in the city from May 13 to May 17 and would be happy to meet in person with fintech, payments, crypto, and digital finance professionals. 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

Speaking at BlockchainX Istanbul 🇹🇷 May 15–16 I'll be on stage at Grand Cevahir Hotel Congress Center — talking payments, neobanking, and why Turkey is one of the most interesting fintech markets right now. TRY volatility drives real demand for USDT settlements and blockchain-based payments. That's not theory — that's the market. Yesterday, we had a meeting with Ilya Klinkin, CPO at Altery — a company building Cards-as-a-Service and Banking-as-a-Service solutions for other fintechs 🏦 Beyond the intro, we discussed the market, and a few points were worth highlighting separately. 📍 First, it was great to hear an external view on Performa. According to Ilya, our key competitive advantages are clear UX, a straightforward product, and transparent logic. In a crowded market, that is no longer just a nice bonus — it is real differentiation. 📍 Second, while it may seem that “everyone is selling cards” today, the reality is that there are still very few truly reliable card-issuing partners in Europe. And the market still lives in the shadow of very strong benchmarks from the past — especially the Binance Card, which at one point set such a high standard that many providers are still trying to position themselves against it. Some compare themselves to RedotPay, others to alternative issuers, but the benchmark remains extremely high. At the same time, one of the biggest competitors to fintech card products today is centralized exchanges. Bybit, for example, is already operating in Europe through partnership models, and that is a meaningful signal for the market. Another important insight from the conversation: if you model the P&L of a card business properly, even Visa / Mastercard principal membership can pay back within 2–3 years. And that does not necessarily require a massive card base from day one. Yes, the preparation phase is long, operationally heavy, and infrastructure-intensive — but the model itself can still make economic sense. And this is where the bigger question begins. Are card products still alive for the next 3–5 years? Or is Visa / Mastercard principal membership increasingly a trend from the previous cycle? 🤔 My current view is that launching “just another card product” is no longer enough for new fintechs. Card solutions are already everywhere. What looks far more interesting to me now is the space around e-wallets, QR payments, and agentic commerce. That is where the next infrastructure layer is only starting to emerge — and where younger fintechs may still have room to build something the larger players have not fully captured yet. What do you think — are cards still alive, or will the next wave be built somewhere else? 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

I went to Vietnam 🇻🇳 for a vacation. Ended up studying its banking system instead. Got so many insights — so after a short break, restarting to share payments tips with you 😊 There’s something very interesting happening in Vietnam right now. While many people still associate Southeast Asia with e-wallet wars, Vietnam feels increasingly like a bank-led digital payments market. A few things stood out to me: 🔵 QR is everywhere — and I mean everywhere. Not as a “nice fintech add-on,” but as part of everyday payment behavior. I paid via Bybit Pay with a good rate — it’s just about 5–10 bps for conversion with the Central Bank FX rate. Btw all other PIs and PSPs, how are you still alive in the market with such rates? 😱 🔵 The infrastructure feels national, not fragmented. Vietnam has built strong domestic rails around NAPAS + VietQR, which makes the experience feel more systemic than chaotic. This is not just about local payments anymore. Vietnam is already expanding QR interoperability across borders — including links with Singapore and China. That is where it gets strategically interesting. 🔵 The banking system is still institution-heavy. This is not a pure fintech playground. State-owned commercial banks still account for a major share of sector assets. And maybe that is exactly why Vietnam is interesting: it is digitizing at speed without fully abandoning traditional banking architecture. That combination makes Vietnam stand out in SEA — not because it is the loudest market, but because it may become one of the most structurally important ones. My takeaway after this trip: Vietnam is one of those markets where payments infrastructure is no longer “catching up.” It is becoming a competitive advantage. Some market landscape. In 2025, the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) signed an agreement to launch QR code integration with Singapore NETS and launched a Vietnam–China cross-border QR payment flow under the VietQR Global brand. At the same time, the country introduced a fintech sandbox for the banking sector — though its banking system remains quite “heavy” in structure: state-owned banks account for about 41% of sector assets. Is the Vietnam case a precedent for other Southeast Asian countries? Or is it an exception? 🤔 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

  • 🎙️We’re talking on Artem’s channel today at 6 PM CET, and I decided to do a little prep for the event 👩🏻‍💻 First, dressed up :) Second, prepared my EMCD products short list, because many people are asking “Why EMCD, which products do you like, etc” 👇 Here’s my personal list of top solutions in the EMCD ecosystem that I use (not ads, that’s why the list is short): 1️⃣ Coinhold — this product has been built not by a product manager, but by our finance team. That’s why I trust and use savings to invest in. For those in the market who comments “I got 30/50/100% APY on stablecoins with my DeFi strategy”, — my answer is simple: let’s have a look where all these solutions will be in a couple of years. Our Coinhold provides just up to 14% on stablecoins, AUM is $80M+ and it’s not the biggest in the market… But it always about the credibility, sustainability and trust. Search anyone from EMCD team on LinkedIn — and make your own opinion. My take is that team always matters more than a deck, ads campaign or financial advise. 2️⃣ Payments for B2B — my area of expertise and responsibility. This month we separated as a business unit (performa.com), which offers payment solutions for businesses. Crypto payment acceptance and pay-outs are already up and running; our clients include major CPA networks, content monetization platforms, AI startups, and we’re starting to expand into e-commerce. Among early achievements: • we don’t charge an FX fee; • free consulting for legal and compliance; • custom development for merchants looking for smth specific. Other things, to sum up: Mining? Top-1 revenue stream at EMCD, but not my experience. Payments cards? Good for anyone looking for daily spendings, but I use cash. Exchange? Relevant for newbies and traders, but I’m none of them. Explore more & make your own choices 🙌 P.S. If this post gets 50 reactions, I’ll set up a Payment Link in this channel to accept donations — LMK if you want to donate with a reaction 😅 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

  • I wanted to share some insights with you from Crypto Summit, but I didn’t really learn anything new today 😐 The crypto community has become so tight-knit that everyone is bound to know each other and hear about new projects and ventures even before major events take place. One of my tasks during vacation is to study the new legislation and figure out the next steps. Unfortunately, I didn’t get any specifics from the speakers or the business community today. Everyone knows that “something is coming, they’ll approve crypto soon”, but exactly how and what—that hasn’t even been figured out yet, even at the level of major companies. I’ll take on the research myself and will definitely share the findings 🔬 📩 Channel | 🎃 Chat | 👥 Twitter | 📷 Instagram | 📝 VC. ru | 🔗 Linkedin

  • It’s 15 degrees in Moscow today, and it just so happens to be the first day of my vacation 🎉 BTW, first things first. Beauty things and haircut — done 💆🏻‍♀️ Next stop today is the Crypto Summit.
