Self-doubts creeping in With a few days left for CSM 2026, one doubts his/her capabilities. Whether the syllabus is completed, what if I’m not able to write anything at all, what if there’s a brain fade, what if i fail to complete the paper, what if, what if! I won’t give you any false impressions, i won’t even fill you with false positivity, i would like you to assess just these things- “Given the time you had, did you become a better candidate?” “Did you give your level best and atleast tried to cover all the grounds?” If the answer is yes, then it doesn’t matter what happens next! The answers will pour from your mental reason, you’ll be able to complete the paper decently. Wrote a bad answer, move ahead, don’t let it spill on the next one! Wrote a mediocre Gs paper? let it be, next one is waiting for you. You won’t be having time to repent for the loss (if there is any at the first place). Our mind brings out the worst parts and subdues the good parts when you get anxious. Don’t let that happen. It’s a part of the process. For next few days, don’t think that you’ll score this much or will get a top rank. Do what’s needed out of you: Give your honest attempt! Be your best self. “Let go of control you think you have in first place.” Hojayega, khayal rakho! ✨🌻

The preparation will get lonelier as you proceed further Very few toppers will address it, the coaching industry or your mentors won’t tell this, but the process is lonely and grilling. It’s grilling your mental health, it grills your inner peace. We have very few friends to talk about this, some aspirant knowns disguised as “friends” are eventually our competition. A lot of us left jobs, left that familial cushion, left that comfort of sitting back and letting things happen. We push our limits. We consider having rest as a luxury. We get that guilt when we go out, watch the new Marvel movie (you were the MCU fan one, right?) Once zakir said,”ye khoobsurat sa jharna jin naalon se niklta hai vo underrated hain”. We undermine the achievements as they are intangible and how they have transformed our whole identity! We don’t allow us to breathe, to stop and think what’s happening or what have become of us? We changed in this whole process, we changed our lifestyles, our sleep cycles are beyond repair, we lost our loved ones literally and figuratively. And then the burden of expectations, not alone the societal ones but our own conviction that “Jo poora kar na paya, toh sapne khaak dekhta hu” So for once, just sit back and introspect on what we are now? We deserve that much. We deserve that warmth that this so called process has taken from us. Khayal rakhen🌻✨
