Review of DNB/ DMRD Radiodiagnosis in RN Tagore Narayana Hospital , Kolkata 2 primary DNB seat, 1 diploma, 1 secondary dnb- total 4 seats Academics : weekly 1 case presentation and 1 seminar, 1 live class, Occasionally classes by consultants and Interdepartmental case discussions. Facilities.. 2 ct ...both upgraded 256 slice- 50 to 80 cases per day 2 mri ....1.5T and 3T - 30 to 40 cases per day Usg -130 to 170 cases per day X ray - 250 to 350 cases. Mammography (new machine) - 10-15 cases per week Hands on: Usg -pretty good from 1st week ...including guided procedures but less obg cases.. Portable icu/bedside usg is done exclusively by residents Ct and mri.. posting starts after 8-10 months, independently draft reports. X ray..1/3rd of total posting will be x ray, atleast in 1st yr Seperate IR dept is there, we are posted for 1 month Work environment : No toxicity as such, but work load is good - so you're fine in general if you are doing your work. Hands on will also be proportional to how much you are keen to learn and report. Consultants are approachable. Duty hours: 8-10 hours Sunday off. On call rotations, once or twice a week. Stipend (including tds) : 1st yr 61k 2nd yr 64k 3rd yr 67k

Review of KAUVERY BENGALURU DMRD 11-12 hrs duty for full 1 year will be there & lil toxic too...in the sense for any work they will expect you to be there.If you take leave it will be the talk of the dept. Like why you need, cant you take on some other day is it that urgent & so forth Night duties will be 24 hrs & have to stay in hospital only 8-9 per month for 1st year.No accomodation provided. Review of DMRD in Krishna Hospital, Tamil Nadu 1. The hands on was good only for 1st batch. 2nd batch has got almost zero hands on. 2. Zero academics. No class. 3. No mentors or guide. HOD will not even bother. 5. No regular duty offs or casual leave or gazetted holidays. They will cut stipend for each off taken. 6. You will only be used for clearing usg cases. You will not be given chance to do any other modality. 7. You will posted in scan centers instead of hospital. And will be changed to various locations(branches) throughout the year. 8. If you are posted in hospital. There is no senior radiologist to guide. You have to be under gynecologist and perform usg for her without any guidance 9. All students will be posted in separate centers. So no immediate senior to guide. 10. You have to report the number of usgs nd xrays u have reported independently a day to keep tab. 11. No night duties

Residents are allowed to write the reports from their later half of 1st year. Academics: below average. Department environment: toxic. Obs gyne exposure less if ur a male(only can watch senior consultant doing). 24hrs shift with post duty off. Stipend : as like in govt medical college after canteen charges deduction. And on time.
