The Situation in Lebanon A Reality Check (By Abu Salah, the Arab Desk in Hebrew) Ali al-Tahr Ridge The ongoing incident on Ali al-Tahr Ridge has not been absent from the confusion that has been plaguing us for years. This time I will focus on this specific incident, but don't get confused like it, there are many more. I will start with the strategic and topographical importance of this ridge which dominates the Nabatia region. The ridge provides direct topographical control over the city of Nabatia, the village of Roman, and the opening of the Litani Valley, and also allows for observation and a line of fire towards Israel. This area is a key point in Hezbollah's defense system north of the Litani River, which connects the rural area with the urban centers in the region. Dozens of reports and assessments were posted on the channel regarding Hezbollah's tunnels in Lebanon, all of which, without exception, have been proven correct. Hezbollah has taken full advantage of the mountainous terrain and dense forest in the ridge (and not just there, remember? This ridge is just an anecdote) to place, observation posts, anti-tank missile squads, rocket launchers for all ranges, launching suicide drones, Don't look at the jar, but what's inside, The ridge with its deceptively pastoral feel hides underground complexes, bunker infrastructures and tunnels used to store weapons and for the quiet movement of the organization's terrorists. I repeat, the ridge like it still exists in Lebanon, it is not an isolated island and it is not the end of the story, really, really not, we have not yet talked about central Lebanon and the Bekaa where there is a jungle of underground complexes. So while half the world and its sister are on summer vacation, our fighters, whose sacrifices there are no words to describe so that we can continue to live here "normally", are in the field and are just waiting for the order (which does not come) to break into these underground complexes and eliminate everything in their path. So what is happening now and in general in recent weeks, you ask? The IDF, through the Air Force and targeted artillery fire at various targets on the ridge, is holding the event, meaning that no one is allowed to enter or exit the underground complexes on the ridge. These terrorists must leave with a white flag = surrender or a black bag for the trash can of history. I believe there are officers from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Houthis, and Iraqis in this complex. This complex, which includes command and control rooms used by, among other things, the Badr unit, ammunition depots, field clinics, and launch shafts Concealed for rockets and missiles. The Baal al-Tahr complex is part of a much more comprehensive underground project that was built over the years with the help of consultants from Iran and North Korea The ridge is just one link in a chain of fortifications that dominates Nabatiya and the Beaufort Ridge, and continues deep into southern Lebanon. 🚨 Suspect Caught Digging Tunnel to Infiltrate Israel Border Police arrested a 36-year-old Qalandiya resident after surveillance teams spotted several suspects digging a shaft near Israel’s security fence.
