This night, having ingested coffee too late on a previous day, unable to properly fall asleep, I woke from an erratic slumber, wondering if Singularity is already there, unfloding, taking us like a plane, or I am completely crazy. The moon, motionless on the dark blue dome of the barely sunrise sky, looked back at me, as if asking a question, when I turned my head towards the window. Maybe being crazy is what Singulatity entails?

It occured to me that it's a great shame that tons of information about particular side effects and phenomenology of psychiatric drugs* is hidden there in private records of psychiatrist unmapped to any biology, be it genes or anatomy. * in reality, not only psychiatric drugs - it's just that they sparked this line of though. remember all of your acquintances and friends having quite idiosyncratic reactions to perscribed psych meds! Phenomenology aspect though is more specific to psychopharma.

checking papers by chinese authors is somewhat analogous to watching reels; entertaining but dumb

although the suggection was more along the line of looking at the explained variance at different age

in the end there was a nice question about improving MR analyses by making exposure measurements better, that is, making-life long measurements of traits to track their dynamics, which made me think that it would be ideal for triats that change over time to have GWAS that track associations with same parameters that define the life-long trajectories of those traits (slope of a line that represents speed of change in a trait, or some critical inflection points in traits dynamics etc). (which was pretty much the answer of a lecturer)

кекнув із рофлу в лекції: in mendelian diseases there's sort of many examples of such gene environment equivalence. on the right here we have pellagra which is caused by long-term deficiency of vitamin B3 or niacin - it's a dietary deficiency, and on the left we have heartlips disease which is a genetic disorder resulting in poor absorption of amino acids including tryptophan which is then converted to niacin so they produce a very a similar phenotype even though they're driven either by externalities like diet or by genetic difference. and this notion of you know phenocopy and genocopy it's sort of widespread in developmental genetics. I mean Zuckerkandl and Villen in an old paper now in PNAS said "no doubt all environmental effects can be mimicked by one or several mutations". So I think all is going a bit too far, but I think if you're thinking of an endogenous disease process then it's reasonable, but if you're thinking like you've been hit by a truck I don't think that can really be mimicked by a genetic variation, but I think this is the principle we have to we have to think of.

яку проблему це вирішує? на даному етапі людські спостереження за навколишнім середовищем занадто децентралізовані і не достатньо інтегровані для ефективного передбачення та реагування на зміни в стані оболонок Землі; така система могла б вирішити задачу підтримання гомеостазу взаємодії цивілізації та Природи.

перебування на природі надихнули мене на наступну ідею: в кожному куточку Землі мають бути роботи з різними датчиками змінних навколишнього середовища, які надсилають дані на орбітальні супутники, а ті, своєю чергою, надсилають дані до центрів обробки даних десь на Місяці, і ці центри обробки даних в свою чергу моделюють усю біосферу Землі в режимі реального часу. так! нещодавно думав саме про це. припустиму, що соціальні медіа - величезна машина маніпуляції людською поведінкою, потужна маніпулятивна здатність якої базується на доступі до широкого масиву персональних даних користувачів. Чому б не використати людські персональні дані, налагоджену систему рекомендацій та соціальний конформізм для того, аби пропагувати корисні звички?
