Happy Midsummer, folks! Remember 1 like = 1 blót 1 share = 100 blót
Platonism is the inner spirit of paganism which survived the death of the pagan "body." "For, with respect to this type of philosophy, I should say, that it came to men for the benefit of terrestrial souls; that it might be instead of statues, instead of temples, instead of the whole of sacred institutions, and the leader of safety both to the men that now are, and to those that shall exist hereafter." - Proclus

Remember, 1 like = 1 blót Happy Easter Moon 🙏
I have an announcement to make. I have been thinking this through for many months, which is why I wasn't as active lately. I have found the light of our Lord Jesus Christ and I am officially converting to Catholic Christianity. I firmly believe that the Catholic teachings are in line with Platonism, and in fact, that Platonism is a form of pre-Christian Christianity. Plato accepted Christ in Hades. With this said, I will soon be deleting all pagan posts on this channel. This channel will be from now on focused on Catholic Platonist content. Know this, heathens - Christ is King. And every knee shall bend.
Folkslop retards actually believe this 💀
Happy Yule ❤️ Remember, one like = one blót
Me when the folkslop crowd finally reads the Eddas only to throw them out as "axial-age heresies"
Reconstructing a West-Germanic Anthropogonic Myth from Medieval Ecclesiastical Sources This proposed anthropogony is based on Old English and Middle High German additions to the Biblical creation of Adam. These fragments are so remarkably similar and provide a non-Christian folkloric background to the creation of Adam that we may propose a reconstructed mythic narrative as follows: "When Weden shaped Man, he made him whole from eight things - the bones from the stone, the flesh from the earth, the blood from the sea, the sweat from the dew, the tears from the salt, the hair from the grass, the mood from the clouds, the eyes from the sun. Then he gave him his breath, so that he may keep it for him." During this reconstruction, choices naturally had to be made, for example the Biblical deity was exchanged for Weden, whom we know shaped Man as attested in other Germanic sources and also details peculiar to each of the sources that weren't shared in common had to be omitted, as we believe these are additions by their respective authors. What is presented here is a very basic version of the narrative that preserves the physical and cosmological beliefs particular to the high Middle Ages. Note that the total number of things that Man is shaped from is nine. You can find the sources for the fragments that are compiled here in the comments of this post.
Many Germanic reconstructionists in the past few years have integrated the ancient Germanic Luni-Solar calendar into their contemporary religious practice, but there is one simple fact about the ancient Germanic calendar that many get wrong - months do not begin on new moons, but on full moons. We can illustrate this based on a couple of sources, namely Bede's De Temporum Ratione. Bede says that in the ancient Germanic understanding months corresponded to the Lunar cycle. He also says that ancient Germanic people recognized only two yearly seasons, winter and summer. And we also learn that among the ancient English, winter begun on a Full Moon of a month called Winterfilleth: "Hence, they called the month in which the winter season began 'Winterfilleth,' a name made up from 'winter' and 'full Moon,' because winter began on the Full Moon of that month." Supposing that the Germanic months begun on New Moons, this would make a season begin in the middle of a month, which would be quite odd - especially when we consider that Bede says that to each of the seasons 6 months are attributed. But let us see what Bede has to say further: "The months of Yule derive their name from the day when the Sun turns back [and begins] to increase, because one of [these months] precedes [this day] and the other follows." We know that Bede isn't referring to the Winter Solstice in this instance, but to a generally recognized belief of ancient cosmology that the Sun literally moves away from the Earth in winter and closer in summer, resulting in the coldness and warmth of the seasons. But what is more striking here is that while it's usually claimed that Yule Moon is the Full Moon in the middle of the second Yulemonth, Bede says that the first Yulemonth precedes this point and the other follows it. He does not say that Yule takes place in the middle of the second Yulemonth. The only logical explanation here is that Yule takes place between these two months. Keeping in mind that Winter begins on a Full Moon, Midwinter, likewise, taking place three months after its beginning, must take place on a Full Moon. Therefore, this other excerpt suggests that the second Yulemonth begun on a Full Moon, thus the ancient English months begun on a Full Moon.

The origins of Western individualism can be found on horseback and on single-manned chariots. I will not elaborate further.
"A viable non-Christian European spirituality has long been lacking. The steady decline of Christianity since the 16th century has coincided on one hand with the technological, economic, and political ascent of Europe and the United States, but on the other, with social breakdown, moral erosion, and atheism. While some urge a return to the Church and others look East, we believe the answers lie in Athens and Rome. The Western classical corpus—for Europe what the Upanishads are for India—undergirds and guides our civilization, and we risk losing our way forever if we continue to abandon it. From the wisdom of Plato and Homer to the teleological science of Aristotle and Hippocrates, our inheritance is profound and by no means limited to Christianity—the cave has been with us longer than the cross." We are pleased to release Volume One of The Flower of the Mind. A treasury of timeless meditative writings, this is a religious book for those seeking an alternative or supplemental spirituality rooted in tradition.

The idea of an objective truth is found in some of humanity's oldest written texts, so for example we find it in a beautiful ancient Egyptian document attributed to Ptahhotep dated to around 2350 BCE, long before a supposed "Axial Age" could have taken place. The Instruction of Ptahhotep, 5th teaching, concerning truth: "Truth is ever important, ever relevant. It has not been changed since the beginning of time. [...] The definition of truth shall be that it is constant and people cannot say that it is only for their teacher." Yup, folkslop once again annihilated 😤💪💪💥
The folkslop pagan is immunized against all insults: One may call him a retard, an illiterate, a playgan, a grug, it all runs off him like water off a raincoat. But call his channel folkslop and you will be astonished at how he recoils, how injured he is, how he suddenly shrinks back: "I’ve been found out."
Key here is that the Axial theory blatantly goes against historical record or purposely leaves its terms vague, hence why it is not taken seriously as a whole (outside of individual features, which are debated by scholars from all sides). As a whole it’s un-historical while using vagueness as a smokescreen and claiming to be strictly a historically-based concept. As the linked post mentions, Axial Theory has to move key parts of the “Axial shift” to the very beginning of the historical/textual record, but this invalidates the entire concept of a shift in the record, for that feature. This is brazen and willful dishonesty in the case of the Rig Veda, our oldest intact Indo-European theological document, which has so-called “Axial Theology” from its earliest layer on. RV 3.55.1 (from the “family books” or earliest layer) reads: “Then when the ancient dawns dawned forth, in the track of the cow a great imperishable (syllable) was born [/ was discerned], which tends to the commandments of the gods: great is the one and only lordship of the gods.” As the translators Jamison and Brereton state of this hymn: “The most obvious feature of this hymn is the refrain found in every verse: “great is the one and only lordship of the gods,” notable for its emphasis on unity (ékam “one and only” is the final word of each verse) and for the juxtaposition and implied identity of asura(tvám) “lord(ship)” and devā́nām “gods,” given that in later Vedic the Asuras and the Devas are locked in eternal enmity. This familiar Vedic mystery of simultaneous unity and diversity is further exemplified by the references to numerous gods (generally unnamed, but usually recognizable), especially in the second part of the hymn, in the manner of many All God hymns.” A syllable that is Imperishable, found in the Boundless, which tends the One Lordship of the gods? This is peak supposed Axial mysticism, but characterizes the Rig Veda from its beginning. The word for the imperishable syllable here (akshara) is a synonym of Brahman in the rest of the corpus (see: AUM), and the “One” emerging from the waters as golden-egg/embryo in Book 10 is called Tad Ekam (That One), using the same word for the gods’ single Lordship here. I have also shown several instances in Book 5 (see: 5.3) and others where Agni (Fire) is said to be all of the gods and all of the gods to be within him, this once again being from the Family Books layer of the Rig Veda. These instances alone invalidate foundational portions of the historical frame of Axial Theory, but of course I have shown much more regarding the Skambha or Brahman Pillar, which also is referenced in passing in the Family Books (under the name “skambha (pillar) of heaven”), and fully explicated in Atharvaveda. All of this demonstrates that the historical basis of the Axial Theory is not only invalidated by the facts on the ground, but begins from a dishonest standpoint of wanting a certain conclusion to be true and being willing to move facts around and ignore evidence to try to reach that pre-determined conclusion. More honest folks would at least say “we don’t know if the Axial Theology was anything new from the earliest records we have and thus we don’t know if there was any Axial shift at all as it is described.” But this would render Axial Theory useless as a firm base to call others names from, so the flaccid act is pumped continually with hot air to keep the grift rolling. These people don’t have an interest in finding historical or theological truth. Pseudo-history of this sort is a dead end mainly because it is simply not based in reality.
