WHY do wind turbines have three Blades ❓ ✅ First thing is more number of blades means more drag(a force that will reduce the speed) caused by wind. But turbines used for generating electricity need to operate at high speeds, so fewer the number of blades, the more efficient the system will be and more power will be produced. Then why not two blades? Turbines with less than three blades will rotate much faster than needed and will generates a lot of vibration, thus will cause frequent mechanical issues. Also more number of blades means more cost, therefore three blades turbines fits perfectly. . . . Follow @factopedia_in for more...

WHY Television is always black in colour ❓ ✅ Black is supposed to be "invisible" when you watch movies at night with lights off, this gives you better immersion since you won't be able to spot the borders framing the video. With other colours framing the TV screen, not only will they be more easily seen, but it will also remind you of your TV's thick screen border. A TV with a slim bordering will tend to give a perception that the TV screen is bigger when compared to another TV with same screen size but much thicker bordering. . . . WHY are tsunamis occurring❓ ✅ When large underwater earthquakes shake the seafloor, tsunamis appear. And the stronger the shocks, the more powerful the tsunami will be. Underwater landslides and explosions also cause tsunamis. So-called megatsunamis are caused by above-water landslides or "glacier calving". 📌 Unfortunately, tsunamis, as well as earthquakes, are still impossible to predict accurately. . . . WHY are chips packets filled with air❓ ✅ You may notice that when you open a new bag of potato chips, half of the bag is filled with "air".That air is actually nitrogen gas. Nitrogen is an inert gas, and is used during the packaging process to exclude and remove air and in particular, oxygen. Oxygen is highly-reactive, so this means it likes to combine with other molecules, which results in food spoiling or losing its freshness. By using nitrogen to push out the oxygen in chip bags, the shelf life is extended, and the integrity and quality of the chips and snacks are kept. Because food and beverage manufacturers are constantly using nitrogen. . . . Follow @factopedia_in for more...

Why do mosquito bites itch❓ ✅ While bees and wasps inject venom when they sting, mosquitoes simply bite to feed on your blood. The bumps and itchiness that follow come from an anticoagulant that the mosquito injects to prevent your blood from clotting, which triggers a mild allergic reaction that includes the typical round, red bumps. . . . WHY girls don't have beard❓ ✅ There are two hormones responsible for secondary sexual characteristics, one is Testosterone in male and another in estrogen in female however these both hormones are present in male and female but there levels are different. In male Testosterone is at high level which make their body look more like a male body which includes mustache, beard, muscles, height etc. In females Estrogen is at high level which make their body look more like a female which includes breasts, regulation of menstrual cycle etc. However as we said both hormones are present in male and female but their levels are different. So testosterone is also present in female but their level is low that's why female do have facial hairs but visibility is not that dominant similarly estrogen in male helps in maturation of the sperm. . . . What are Web Cookies and Why do Websites use Cookies❓ ✅ A web cookie, also known as an internet cookie or a browser cookie, is a text file that contains information that the website needs to store relating to a particular visit or visitor. The file is stored on the user’s machine, can be deleted by the user, and can only be read by the user or the website that created the cookie. For example, if a website like Facebook didn’t use cookies to remember logged in users then users would have to enter their username and password every time they clicked a link and loaded a new page. Cookies are a very normal part of the web and perfectly safe. Cookies will not cause harm to you or your devices and cannot “leak” private information about you. But, like many technologies, they can be abused. There is growing concern about the (mis)use of cookies and the effect this has on user privacy. . . . Follow @factopedia_in for more...

WHY do emergency calls work without signal❓ ✅ Nowadays most sim works on GSM, which allows users to use network of other service provider in absence of network coverage from their own service provider, but access will be limited upto emergency service. In absence of a strong enough network coverage of your own service provider in your area, your phone get support from roaming network (these are those companies that have finks with your own company). If the roaming network is also not strong enough, then your phone search best network signal available in your area, irrespective of its source company. Emergency calls can be made in this case. . . . Follow @factopedia_in for more...
