Al-ʿAqīdaħ al-Burhānīyyaħ — 6-Week Summer Course Fayḍān ʿAlī Khān Books What does it mean to believe? And can belief be proven? This summer, we study one of the most elegant theological texts to emerge from the classical Maghribī tradition — Al-ʿAqīdaħ al-Burhānīyyaħ wal-Fuṣūl al-ʾĪmānīyyaħ, authored by ʾImām ʾAbū ʿUmar ʿUthmān Ibn ʿAbdillāh ʿUslūj as-Salālajī al-Faṣī (d. 594 AH). Written not for publication, but for a single devoted student — Khayrūnaħ al-ʾAndalusīyyaħ, a female scholar of such calibre that she memorised each section from a tablet before it was erased — this text carries with it a remarkable origin. She came to be known as Burhānīyyaħ, the walking proof, and through her devotion to knowledge, this treatise was preserved for generations to come. The text itself is concise yet intellectually formidable. In measured, precise prose, the ʾImām guides the reader through the rational foundations of Sunnī creed: the proof for the createdness of the universe, the necessary existence of the Creator, His names and attributes, the impossibility of contingency in the Divine, prophetic truthfulness, and the essential articles of faith. Every claim is reasoned. Every doctrine is demonstrated. Over 6 live sessions, this course will take students through the Arabic matn alongside its English translation, unpacking the theological arguments with commentary, contextualising the text within the broader tradition of ʿaqīdaħ, and opening space for discussion and questions. This course is for you if: •You want to ground your faith in clarity and rational conviction •You are a student of Islamic sciences seeking to engage with classical kalām •You want to read a foundational theological text with a teacher, not alone •You have never studied ʿAqīdaħ formally and want a rigorous but accessible entry point No prior knowledge of kalām or Arabic is required. The course is taught in English with reference to the original Arabic text. 📅 Saturdays from 1 August 2026 | 11:00 AM BST 📆 Final two sessions: Monday 24 & Tuesday 25 August 💷 £30 | Live Online Message @cingulomaniak for more details
📖 New Release: Mabādiʾ al-ʾUṣūl — The Rudiments in the Principles of Jurisprudence Alḥamdulillāh, We are pleased to announce the release of our translation of Mabādiʾ al-ʾUṣūl, a primer in Ḥanafī legal theory. The science of ʾUṣūl al-Fiqh — the principles and sources of ʾIslāmic law — occupies a place in the ʾIslāmic intellectual tradition comparable to that of logic in philosophy or grammar in language: it is the discipline that makes precise legal reasoning possible. A jurist without ʾUṣūl has inherited good judgement but lacks the framework to articulate, examine, or transmit it. This work was composed by Shaykh Saʿīd ʾAḥmad al-Pālanpūrī (1360–1441 AH), among the most distinguished scholars of the Deoband school in the modern era, who served as Shaykh al-Ḥadīth and Head of Faculty at Dār al-ʿUlūm Deoband from 1429 AH until his passing in Ramaḍān 1441 AH. He authored this primer to give students a clear, concise, and structurally coherent map of the Ḥanafī ʾUṣūl tradition before they encounter the more demanding classical texts. This translation has been prepared using the authentication and notes of ʿAbd al-Majīd at-Turkmānī. The book is organised around the four primary sources of ʾIslāmic law — the Qurʾān, the Prophetic Sunnaħ, scholarly consensus (al-ʾIjmāʿ), and analogy (al-Qiyās) — and subjects each to the four analytical divisions at the heart of the Ḥanafī approach to legal texts: the coinage of words, their usage, their degrees of clarity and obscurity, and their modes of indication. It further addresses commands and prohibitions, the unrestricted and restricted term, and the doctrine of elucidation (al-Bayān). Presented in a clear English translation, this primer is especially suited to students beginning their study of ʾUṣūl al-Fiqh, teachers seeking a structured introductory text, and readers wishing to understand how ʾIslāmic law derives its rulings. May Allāh accept this humble effort, place abundant benefit within it, and make it a means of sound understanding of His Dīn. 👤 Author: Shaykh Saʿīd ʾAḥmad al-Pālanpūrī 📝 Authentication & Notes: ʿAbd al-Majīd at-Turkmānī 🖋 Translator: Faizan Ali Khan 📗 Format: Hardcover | 161 pages 🔖 ISBN: 978-1-291-65238-3 🌍 Publisher: Lulu.com | Fayḍān ʿAlī Khān Books 🏷 Price: £20.61 📅 Release Date: 16th July 2026 📦 Order Now: https://www.lulu.com/shop/shaykh-sa%CA%BF%C4%ABd-%CA%BEa%E1%B8%A5mad-al-p%C4%81lanp%C5%ABr%C4%AB-and-%CA%BFabd-al-maj%C4%ABd-at-turkm%C4%81n%C4%AB-and-faizan-ali-khan/mab%C4%81di%CA%BE-al-%CA%BEu%E1%B9%A3%C5%ABl/hardcover/product-m2e2npp.html

📖 New Release: al-ʾArbaʿūn al-Mawlidīyyaħ — The Forty Ḥadīth on the Prophetic Birth Alḥamdulillāh, We are pleased to announce the release of our translation of al-ʾArbaʿūn al-Mawlidīyyaħ, originally titled Juzʾ fī al-Mawlid an-Nabawī ash-Sharīf. This blessed collection gathers forty Prophetic narrations centred upon the honour, love, and veneration of the Emissary of Allāh ﷺ. Compiled by one of Faizan's teachers, who has requested not to be named, the work contains narrations whose meanings revolve around loving the Prophet ﷺ, recognising his noble rank, giving him precedence over oneself and all creation, and rejoicing in his blessed mawlid. With careful attention to chains of transmission, the book follows the classical tradition of forty-ḥadīth compilations, connecting students and readers to the inherited scholarship of the ʾUmmaħ. It is not intended as an exhaustive study, but as a reminder for the lover, a breath of remembrance, and a door to deepening one’s attachment, ʾadab, and devotion to the Beloved Prophet ﷺ. Presented in Arabic with an English translation, this concise yet spiritually rich collection is especially suited to personal reading, gatherings of mawlid and sīraħ, the study of ḥadīth, and devotional reflection. May Allāh accept this humble effort, place abundant benefit within it, and make it a means of increasing our love, knowledge, remembrance, reverence, and following of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. 👤 Compiler: One of Faizan's Teachers 🖋 Translator: Faizan Ali Khan 📗 Format: Paperback | 112 pages 🔖 ISBN: 978-1-291-65170-6 🌍 Publisher: Lulu.com | Fayḍān ʿAlī Khān Books 🏷 Price: £8.72 📅 Release Date: 10th July 2026 📦 Order Now: https://tinyurl.com/arbaunmawlidiyyah

1.27 Proof for the Impossibility for the Indwelling of Allāh, Exalted be He, In Space Through this, you know that He, free from defects be He, is not [physically] on the Throne (ʿArsh), nor in a space, because if He were to be on the Throne, or other than it, then He would be adjacent to it. The [real] meaning of His, exalted be He, Statement: ﴿عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ ٥﴾ [طه:٥] {Over the Throne He did istiwāʾ} [20:5] Meaning: He is its Possessor (malakahu), for everything is His Dominion, free from defects be He. It is not farfetched in applying the word istiwāʾ with the meaning of kingship and sovereignty, [just as] the poet said: قَدِ اسْتَوَىٰ بِشْرٌ عَلَى الْعِرَاقِ مِنْ غَيْرِ سِيْفٍ وَدَمٍ مُهْرَاقِ Bishr seized control of Iraq’s land, Without bearing a sword nor bloodshed at his hand. As for the slave-girl whom the Emissary of Allāh g asked: “Where is Allāh c?”, she pointed to the sky, to which he n replied: “She is a believer.” This was the case only, as it is said, because she was mute, and he g only asked her to see whether she was from those who worshipped idols and would point to the house of the idols, or not. When she didn’t point to the house of the idols it was known that she was not a polytheist. Her pointing to the sky was because the sky is the highest thing one can see physically and He, free from defects be He, is the Most High in meaning. He, exalted be He, said: ﴿سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى ١﴾ [الْأَعْلَىٰ:١] {Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,} [20:5] She expressed conceptual transcendence (ʿulū maʿnawī) through physical elevation (ʿulū ḥissī) metaphorically, since she was unable to express it verbally due to her muteness, and since pointing to a non-specific direction was impossible for her, she chose the highest direction. Regarding what is established regarding the raising of one’s head when supplicating (duʿāʾ), then this is the case because the Sacred Law (sharʿ) has made the sky the direction (qiblaħ) of supplication, just as it made the Kaʿbaħ is the direction for prayer, because the one who looks at the sky beholds the most wonderous works of Divine Ability in what he beholds. What is witnessed of the created object is like what is witnessed of the Creator, for the created object points to its Creator. And since one who seeks something from a person turns his face towards that person and faces him, and since this meaning is impossible in the Right of Allāh c, the Sacred Law made the beholding of the greatest of what can be Seen from His Created Works, those which indicate His existence and turning towards them, to stand in place of beholding Him, exalted be He, and turning towards Him. In summary, the intellect (ʿaql) is the foundation of transmission (naql), for had it not been for the intellect we would not have known the matters of Prophethood (nubūwwāt). Since the foundation of establishing transmission is the intellect, it is not possible to repel explicit reason by transmission, and since it is possible for transmission to be interpreted (taʾwīl), reconciliation between transmission and the intellect is possible, whereas reason cannot be defended against, thus, all texts that have been reported contradicting what explicit reason necessitates must be interpreted (taʾwīl), according to the view of some of the people of knowledge. And some of them hold that they should not be subjected to interpretation, but rather forgone, and belief in them is obligatory through two things: 1. that whatever is intended by them is sound and true, and 2. that the literal apparent meaning is certainly not what is intended. Sharḥ al-ʿAqīdaħ al-Burhānīyyaħ wal-Fuṣūl al-ʾĪmānīyyaħ - by ʾImām ʾAbī ʿUthmān Saʿīd ʾIbn Muḥammad ʾIbn al-ʿUqbānī A sneak peak to an upcoming translation.

📖 New Release: The Creed of the Laity — A Poetic Translation of ʿAqīdaħ al-ʿAwām by Shaykh ʾAḥmad al-Marzūqī al-Mālikī Alḥamdulillāh, I am pleased to announce the release of my poetic English translation of one of the most beloved creedal poems in the Sunnī tradition. Composed in 19th-century Makkaħ by the Mālikī Muftī Shaykh ʾAḥmad al-Marzūqī, and famously inspired by a vision of the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ himself, ʿAqīdaħ al-ʿAwām ("The Creed of the Laity") has served generations of Muslims as their first and lasting introduction to the foundations of belief. Its rhyming couplets cover the twenty Divine Attributes, the truths necessary, impossible, and possible concerning the Prophets ﷺ, the Angels, the Revealed Scriptures, the noble household and Companions of the Messenger ﷺ, and the marvel of the Heavenly Ascension. This edition presents a faithful poetic English rendering that preserves the meter and music of the original Arabic, set alongside the sacred text with careful footnoting of key theological terms. It is a worthy companion for the seeker, the student, the memorizer, and the teacher — a book to be recited, not merely read. The Prophet ﷺ said to its author: "Whoever memorizes it enters Paradise, and attains every good that conforms with the Book and the Sunnaħ." May this humble effort serve as a means of drawing hearts closer to the timeless creed of Ahl as-Sunnaħ wa al-Jamāʿaħ. 👤 Author: Shaykh ʾAḥmad al-Marzūqī al-Mālikī 🖋 Translator: Faizan Ali Khan 📗 Format: Paperback | 23 pages 🔖 ISBN: 978-1-291-70203-3 🌍 Publisher: Lulu.com | Fayḍān ʿAlī Khān Books 🏷 Price: £5.23 📅 Release Date: 6th May 2026 📦 Order Now: https://tinyurl.com/3aqidahawam 📄 Free PDF Copy: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U1NymaDtVKrmLR94Y7WAApJWxPkpQXFm/view?usp=sharing
