🌼🍃 🟫 A Virtue of the Sacred Month of Allâh, al-Muḥarram 📖 Fourth: The Recommendation of Fasting the Ninth Along with the Tenth ✍ On the authority of ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAbbās (may Allâh be pleased with them both), he said that the Prophet ﷺ said: “If I remain alive until next year, I will certainly fast the ninth.” 📚 Narrated by Muslim. ✍ Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān (may Allâh preserve him) said: “The Sunnah is for the Muslim to fast the ninth and the tenth, in order to differ from the Jews.” 📚 Reference: Fatāwā of Shaykh al-Fawzān. Thus, fasting the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ together with the ninth of Muḥarram is from the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ. 🌼🍃 🟫 A Virtue of the Sacred Month of Allâh, al-Muḥarram 📖 Third: The Virtue of Fasting on the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ ✍ On the authority of Abū Qatādah (may Allâh be pleased with him), the Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting the Day of ʿĀshūrāʾ, I hope from Allâh that it will expiate the sins of the previous year.” 📚 Narrated by Muslim. ✍ Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīn (may Allâh have mercy on him) said: “ʿĀshūrāʾ is a great day, and through fasting it Allâh expiates the sins of an entire year.” 📚 Majmūʿ Fatāwā wa Rasāʾil al-Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn. «اللهُمَّ! بِعِلْمِكَ الْغَيْبَ، وَقدْرَتِكَ عَلَى الْخَلْقِ، أَحْيِنِي مَا عَلِمْتَ الْحَيَاةَ خَيْرًا لِي، وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا عَلِمْتَ الْوَفَاةَ خَيْرًا لِي، اللَّهمَّ! وَأَسْأَلُكَ خَشْيَتَكَ فِي الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ كَلِمَةَ الْحَقِّ فِي الرِّضَا وَالْغَضَبِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ الْقَصْدَ فِي الْفَقْرِ وَالْغِنَى، وَأَسْأَلُكَ نَعِيمًا لَا يَنْفَدُ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ قرَّةَ عَيْنٍ لَا تَنْقَطِعُ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ الرِّضَاءَ بَعْدَ الْقَضَاءِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ بَرْدَ الْعَيْشِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ لَذَّةَ النَّظَرِ إِلَى وَجْهِكَ، وَالشَّوْقَ إِلَى لِقَائِكَ، فِي غَيْرِ ضَرَّاءَ مضِرَّةٍ، وَلَا فِتْنَةٍ مضِلَّةٍ، اللَّهمَّ! زَيِّنَّا بِزِينَةِ الْإِيمَانِ، وَاجْعَلْنَا هُدَاةً مُهْتَدِينَ». O Allaah! by Your knowledge of the unseen, and Your power over the creation, keep me alive so long as You know that living is best for me, and cause me to die when You know that death is better for me, O Allaah! cause me to fear You in secret and in public, I ask You to make me true in speech in times of pleasure and of anger, I ask You to make me moderate in times of wealth and of poverty, And I ask You for everlasting delight and joy that will never cease, I ask You to make me pleased with that which you have decreed and for an easy life after death, I ask You for the sweet pleasure of looking unto Your face and a longing to meet you in a manner that does not entail a calamity that will bring about harm nor a trial that will cause deviation, O Allaah! Beautify us with the adornment of Eaman (faith) and make us among those who guide and are rightly guided. ..... The Greatest Reward The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: ((إذا دخل أهل الجنة الجنة قال يقول الله تبارك وتعالى: تريدون شيئاً أزيدكم؟ فيقولون: ألم تبيض وجوهنا؟ ألم تدخلنا الجنة وتنجنا من النار؟ فيكشف الحجاب، فما أعطوا شيئاً أحب إليهم من النظر إلى ربهم عز وجل)) “When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, Allāh, Blessed and Exalted, will say: ‘Do you wish for anything more that I may give you?’ They will say: ‘Have You not brightened our faces? Have You not admitted us to Paradise and saved us from the Fire?’ Then He [Allah] will lift the veil, and they will be given nothing more beloved to them than looking at their Lord, the Mighty and Majestic.” [Sahih Muslim :181] Source of translation: t.me/masjidsahabah

‏💎 من أسباب استجابة الدعاء جاءت أم سُليم إلى النبي ﷺ فقالت: يا رسول الله عَلِّمْنِي كَلِمَاتٍ أَدْعُو بِهِنَّ، قال ﷺ: تُسبحين الله عَشْرًا، وتحمدينه عَشْرًا، وَتُكَبِّرِينَهُ عَشْرًا، ثُمَّ سَلِي حاجتك، فَإِنَّهُ يَقُولُ: "قَدْ فَعَلْتُ، قَدْ فَعَلْتُ" [رواه أحمد]
