  • Here key policy changes from CSP 2024 to CSP 2025 : 1. Service Preference Submission: In CSP 2024, service preferences are submitted after the Mains result in DAF-II. In CSP 2025, candidates must submit service preferences within 10 days of Prelims result, along with a ₹200 fee for the Mains application. 2. Information Sharing for Non-Recommended Candidates: CSP 2024 allows public disclosure of scores for job opportunities. CSP 2025 shares detailed biodata (education, percentile, contact) with registered organizations on a restricted portal. 3. Railway Services Structure: CSP 2024 lists the Indian Railway Management Service as a unified service. CSP 2025 divides it into Traffic, Personnel, and Accounts streams. 4. Modification in Submitted Data: In CSP 2024, corrections are allowed in DAF-I for Prelims and DAF-II before the Personality Test. CSP 2025 offers multiple correction windows—after Prelims for cadre preferences and before the Personality Test for service preferences. 5. Fee for Mains Application: CSP 2024 does not specify a separate fee for service preferences. CSP 2025 requires ₹200 to confirm Mains eligibility and submit cadre preferences. 6. Non-recommendation Data Use: CSP 2024 allows public and private organizations to use scores. CSP 2025 limits access to registered organizations for employment purposes. 7. Penalty for Wrong Answers: Negative marking for wrong answers remains unchanged but is more explicitly detailed in CSP 2025. 8. Modification in One-Time Registration (OTR): CSP 2024 and CSP 2025 both allow OTR modification once in a lifetime. CSP 2025 provides clearer deadlines for this. Note: 1. A significant shift towards earlier service preference submission tied to Prelims qualification, reducing delays in service allocation. 2. Data Privacy and Controlled Access: Moving from open score disclosure to a restricted access system, emphasizing privacy and targeted employment opportunities. 3. Railway Service Categorization: Clear differentiation of traffic, personnel, and accounts roles under IRMS for CSP 2025, reflecting structural changes in administrative services.
