🔥 BCPoker Cash Challenge Update This week I didn’t play as much volume as I wanted. Mostly short NL50 sessions, and overall the week was pretty swingy. A few important big-pot spots didn’t go my way, so the bankroll dropped a bit compared to the previous update. But there was still one very nice moment worth sharing. I finally hit my first BCPoker JACKPOT 🎁 Four of a kind in an NL50 hand, a good paid pot, and an extra $20 reward on top. I had hit quads before on BCPoker, but that time not all reward conditions were met. This time everything counted. That’s one of the things I like about playing cash there right now: even when the week is swingy, there are still extra mechanics around the tables - rewards, rakeback, Cash Rain, and other small boosts that add more value to the grind. One of the nastier hands from my recent DEDPRZ grind 😅 Been playing some cash there again and managed to get into an NL200 heads-up session. This one ended with 😎😎 in a 3-bet pot: 😎3️⃣2️⃣ flop — top set. 5️⃣ turn — all the money goes in. 101.7 BB pot. My 😎😎 vs 😎9️⃣ — 76% / 24%, with 9 hearts left for him. 💣 Why I Like Bomb Pots on BCPoker The main reason is simple: pots are already big before the real action starts. On these tables, Bomb Pots usually one time in 8-12min start with 8 BB from each player, plus the tables also have extra ante, so the pots are much bigger than on regular NLHE tables. Example: If the table is full — 8 players × 8 BB = 64 BB in the pot. On NL50, that’s already around $32 in the middle before the hand really starts. That’s why I like this format. You don’t always need to wait for premium hands or classic cooler spots. If you hit a good flop, top pair, two pair, strong draw, or combo draw, you can already fight for a serious pot. Also, many casual players don’t feel comfortable in big inflated pots. They can get scared, overfold, or make mistakes when pressure starts. Of course, Bomb Pots have more variance too. You can win fast, but you can also lose fast. But if you pick good spots, this format can create a lot of extra value. Win one or two good Bomb Pots, and you can already be up 150+ BB just from those hands. 👀 One thing I think poker players seriously underestimate: overlays A good example happened this week on Blockchain Poker. Friday Prime Level Up had roughly a $5 buy-in and ~$105 guaranteed prize pool, but only 6 entries. At a ~$5 buy-in, the tournament would need around 21 entries just to cover that guarantee. Instead, six entries contributed only around $30 — while the full ~$105 prize pool was still there. That’s what an overlay is: when the collected buy-ins don’t cover the guaranteed prize pool, the poker room makes up the difference.
