I WAS DYING BUT GOD BROUGHT ME BACK TO LIFE! “My name is O'Shea from Zambia. I am here to share what the Lord has done for me. Brother Chris, before God touched me, I was going through a lot of stomach pain. It was so bad that I couldn’t eat well and I couldn’t sleep well - maybe just for a few hours, then I would wake during the night. I couldn't even sleep on my side or my back, and still the pain wasn't changing. I was advised to visit the clinic and was referred to one of our biggest hospitals in Zambia, where I spent weeks on drips, but nothing was working. After visiting the hospital and trying everything in my power, nothing was working still, until I remembered that God is the Healer. PERMANENT JOB AFTER YEARS OF UNEMPLOYMENT! “Good morning and win today! My name is Jeany from South Africa. I want to give thanks to the Lord Jesus and give testimony to what He has done for me and my family. I graduated from university in 2017 and had been unemployed since, but last year, through God's grace, I got an internship at the cut-off age of 35. On the last day of my contract, she called me late and said to pass by HR and come to her office. BREAKTHROUGH SPIRITUALLY, FINANCIALLY AND ACADEMICALLY! “Grace and peace to you, people of God. My name is Kudakwashe from Zimbabwe. I want to testify concerning the goodness of God. One day, as I was translating a video on the God's Heart TV dashboard, there were these words that Brother Chris said, and I quote, "Do not hide your testimony because when you testify, you are setting yourself on a platform for God to do more. Don't wait for a certain time for you to testify." These words touched me, and I told myself that they were directed at me. I have been following God's Heart TV for some time now and I have seen the goodness of God in so many aspects of my life. Firstly, let me begin with my spiritual life: I have managed to see an improvement in my spiritual life. I can now read the Bible and draw lessons from it, and I now yearn to study the Bible even more. My prayer life has also improved; I no longer focus on my needs or wants, but I am now more focused on my relationship with God and on being more of who He wants me to be. Before, I was not like this; I was focused on myself and what I wanted, but I started understanding the importance of my spiritual life, as the Word of God says that we must seek first the Kingdom of God and all those other things will be added unto us in His own time. When it comes to my financial life, all I can say is, ‘Thank You, Jesus,’ because He has been providing and making plans for us in ways that I cannot even understand, sustaining me and my family this far. There are months where I wonder how we got through, but somehow, financially, we make it either way. I live with my mother, my sister, and my wife, so most of the financial burden is on me, but God has managed to see us through nonetheless. When it comes to my career, I work in a mine. It is labour-intensive and physically demanding, and the working conditions are difficult. Despite this, I have also managed to enrol back in school; I am now studying for a diploma in Human Resources and, if God allows by His grace, I am going to continue to the degree level. In all of this, God has been providing and making a way. For all this, I want to thank God for everything He has done for me. My word of encouragement is this: as Prophet TB Joshua used to say, ‘Do not make it easy for the devil to overthrow you.’ I say the same to someone reading this testimony: keep on fighting and keep on going despite the challenges and difficulties, for God is more aware of your situation than you know. DISTINGUISH WHAT IS REAL Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” People of God, one of the challenges many people face today is the elevation of feelings and emotions above truth. Many question whether God loves them, whether He will really answer their prayers or fall into the mindset that the ‘world is against them’. This is because they are seeking an emotional experience or encounter with God instead of acting on what God’s Word says. You must distinguish between what you feel and what is real. The truth of God’s Word is that we are not saved because we feel saved; we are not loved by God because we feel loved; we are not forgiven of our sins because we feel forgiven. No – we are saved, loved and forgiven because we believe what God’s Word says and act on it by faith. In the same vein, the evidence that we have forgiven someone who wronged us is not that we feel like we have forgiven. By an act of faith, we forgive someone and the feelings may follow. You need to choose to not relive the past in the present in your relationships and this is a choice - backed up by truth. You don’t forgive because you feel like it - you forgive because your faith demands it. When you understand spiritually the importance of forgiveness, your feelings will not play a key role in that decision. Many times, our feelings and our emotions deceive us because they are influenced by changing factors around us. You may feel great today, tired tomorrow or lonely next week but God’s Word will say the same thing yesterday, today and forever. This is why you need to base your faith on something with more stability than your feelings – the eternal Word of God! Today, make a decision not to be emotion-driven but to base your faith on the solid rock of God’s Word, not the shifting sand of emotions and feelings. Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, help me to understand that faith acts on Your Word – it is not dependent on how I feel or what I see. Give me the grace to act faith today, in Jesus’ name, amen.
