Formed in 1999 by SoCal scene veteran Jake Cavaliere, they’ve toured with The Cramps and The Who and once counted MC5’s Michael Davis among their ranks. Inspired by primitive garage riffs, chopped bikes, V8 muscle and the dark legacy of Altamont, they’ve spent 25 years delivering high-energy, hard-driven rock’n’roll on stages around the world. Silverships play psychedelic rock that seems to float between worlds. Based in Texas, twin brothers Myles and Kyle Mendes, along with drummer Phil Helms, craft music that bridges the gap between dark nostalgia and modern electronic pop. Their recent singles showcase their ability to blend haunting melodies with driving beats. All Your Pain gained viral attention through Facebook and Instagram nostalgia posts, earning a spot on Spotify’s Dark and Gothic playlist and solidifying NITE’s reputation as a band to watch. SINEM Mo. 02.11.26 | 19:00 | Goldener Salon Sinem wuchs am Ammersee auf und lebt heute in München. Ihr Vater spielte ihr westliche Popmusik vor, bei den Großeltern liefen Klassiker der türkischen Popkultur – Lieder der Aşıks über Liebe, Schmerz und Sehnsucht, aber auch über Ungerechtigkeit und Widerstand. Auf ihrem Debüt „Köşk“ interpretierte Sinem solche Klassiker neu. Sie transportieren Haltung – durch Lyrics, Sound oder elegante Moves wie diesen: das Lied eines Machos über eine Frau zu singen. Dass nun Sinems Stimme diese Worte singt und sie sich dazu ekstatisch auf der Bühne wälzt, sagt mehr als jedes feministische Seminar. Das ist Anadolu Punk. Auch „Hatun“ verbindet Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Es beginnt mit „Ötme Bülbül Ötme“ von Pir Sultan Abdal, das Sinem schon bei ihren Großeltern hörte. Neben Klassikern stehen diesmal eigene Lieder von Sinem und Tom Wu: Der Tradition wird aus der Gegenwart geantwortet, die Vergangenheit wird zur Echokammer für Geschichten von heute.
