Why “Elf Queen” instead of Tyrande… and “Survivor” instead of Joel 👀 Open any 3D marketplace — Cults, MyMiniFactory, Etsy, Patreon. You’ll see countless miniatures, busts and sculptures that are instantly recognizable: white hair + two swords + scar across the eye… night-elf armor with moon symbols… baseball bat + patched backpack… But the title says: “White Wolf” “Moon Priestess” “Post-apocalyptic single dad” No “Geralt”. No “Tyrande”. No “Joel”. Why? 1️⃣ It’s not creativity. It’s legal camouflage. Character names, looks, symbols and settings are protected IP. Blizzard, Naughty Dog, CD Projekt RED own them. Using the real name in a commercial listing = direct infringement. A vague title (“elf girl in purple”) creates a buffer. Harder to prove intent. DMCA bots often miss pure visuals without text triggers. 2️⃣ “Fan-art” is not a magic shield. Commercial use ≠ fair use. Selling a physical copy of someone else’s character is not parody, critique or transformative work. It’s straight-up replication. Official licenses exist (WizKids, Good Smile etc.). Random Patreon creators don’t have them. Zero. 3️⃣ Why does this still work? Because hunting is more expensive than the prey. Companies can DMCA or sue almost any of these models. But tracking thousands of tiny creators worldwide costs more than the money they could recover. So they hit the big fish and leave the small ones swimming. This creates the illusion that “everyone does it, so it’s fine”. 4️⃣ What’s actually happening The creator takes years of someone else’s design, recognition and emotional connection… and monetizes it without investing in original lore, marketing or development. Ready-made fame > building your own character from scratch. That’s not entrepreneurship. That’s arbitraging someone else’s cultural value. When the same person starts talking about “rights”, “piracy” or “creative freedom”… remember the context. They’re defending the profit they made from an asset that isn’t theirs. Bottom line: “Elf Queen” is just a quiet way to sell what doesn’t belong to you. Non-commercial, transformative, honest fan-art is powerful. A production line of copies under the label “inspired by” is just a grey market of other people’s ideas. #STL #licenses #3Dprinting #IP #fanart #hesaga #hehenews #hehesaga #stl #stlnews 🥺 LIVE — Subscribe 🥺LIVE — Подписаться

📉 RN Estudio & Dungeon Pin-ups: One Studio, Many Faces Remember RN Estudio (RNestudio)? The Spanish studio from Alhaurín de la Torre that’s been cranking out highly detailed STL miniatures for DnD, Pathfinder, Blood Bowl, and pin-up fans for years. From the outside it looks like Dungeon Pin-ups, Mythbowl, Myth Explorers and the rest are completely separate brands. In reality it’s both simpler and more tangled than it seems. Let’s break down how one studio grew into an entire ecosystem of “side projects.” ### 💰 The Main Lines & How They Appear from the Outside RN Estudio runs on the classic modern 3D-sculpt business model: a core brand + tightly focused product lines aimed at different audiences. - Dungeon Pin-ups — the most visible and “hottest” series. Female characters in pin-up / sexy style (Pathfinder/DnD classes: Bard, Sorcerer, Paladin, Druid, Rogue, etc.). It has its own dedicated Patreon (patreon.com/dungeonpinups), separate Kickstarters, and MyMiniFactory campaigns. A lot of people assume it’s an independent studio. - Mythbowl / Fantasy Football — Blood Bowl-style teams and miniatures. Large standalone Kickstarters with full rosters. - Myth Explorers / Maidens / Champions — more “classic” fantasy sets, adventure creators, tribes, and premium content. - The main RN Estudio Patreon (patreon.com/rnestudio) — the central hub that collects the rest of the releases, vaults, and bonuses. From the outside it looks like a collection of independent projects. Inside it’s the same team of sculptors, the same style, and the same people behind the renders and support. ### ❌ Why the Confusion Exists Classic crowdfunding growth mixed with audience segmentation: - Separate Patreons and individual Kickstarter pages create the illusion of “different studios.” - Dungeon Pin-ups is pushed especially hard in pin-up and NSFW communities, so many people discover it first and never connect the dots. - Licensed printers on Etsy, Instagram, and Discord often just write “Dungeon Pinups by RN Estudio” or drop the studio name entirely — and the trail goes cold. - The studio regularly launches new “frontiers” and themed campaigns that look like fresh brands. Result: endless arguments of “Is this a side project? Same studio? Why two Patreons?” ### ⚖️ Current Status Everything still operates under the RN Estudio umbrella. Dungeon Pin-ups is not a separate company and not someone else’s project. It’s their most successful and longest-running product line, given its own dedicated channel (Patreon + separate campaigns) purely to better serve the pin-up audience. The other lines follow the same pattern: their own focus and campaigns, but the same sculptors, IP, and production. Their online presence (YouTube RNestudio, Instagram @rnestudio, MyMiniFactory/users/rnestudio) directly links all these names. When the studio posts a new Dungeon Pin-ups release, they frequently drop the link straight to the dungeonpinups Patreon — and vice versa. ### ⚠️ The Takeaway Dungeon Pin-ups, Mythbowl, Myth Explorers and everything else are side projects / product lines of one single studio: RN Estudio. Not different teams, not independent brands, not random collabs. Just smart audience segmentation: if you want sexy Pathfinder girls you go to Dungeon Pin-ups, if you want Blood Bowl teams you go to Mythbowl, if you want the classics you stay in the main stream. If you see “Dungeon Pin-ups by RN Estudio,” “RNestudio Dungeon Pinups,” or just “Dungeon Pin-ups” next to their Kickstarter or Patreon — it’s the same thing. No mystery, just market segmentation done right. #RNEstudio #DungeonPinups #STL #3DPrinting #TabletopMiniatures #hesaga #hehenews #hehesaga #stl #stlnews 🥺 LIVE — Subscribe 🥺LIVE — Подписаться

📉 Broken Anvil Miniatures: From Hype to Community Crisis Remember Broken Anvil Miniatures (BAM)? The Seattle-area studio that promised to shake up the tabletop scene with heroic-scale minis, their own Studio Paint line, and the Rivenstone wargame is now at the center of a massive community controversy. How did a studio that raised over half a million dollars on Kickstarter end up facing accusations of mismanagement? Let's break it down. 💰 The Major Projects & Big Backing At their peak, BAM generated massive hype and successful funding rounds: Rivenstone: A fantasy skirmish game with chunky 35mm heroic-scale minis. Raised $230k+. Forged: A massive PVC miniature collection promised at accessible prices. Raised $240k+. Studio Paint: A high-quality paint range aimed at both beginners and veterans. Raised $144k+. The team won over backers by focusing on USA-made, in-house production, active sculpting updates, and high-profile painting tutorials. But the ambition didn't match the execution. ❌ What Went Wrong? The studio ran into classic growing pains that quickly snowballed into a financial nightmare: Fund Robin-Hooding: Reports surface that funds from newer campaigns (like the paints) were diverted to cover manufacturing and debts from earlier projects. Production Bottlenecks: Local, in-house manufacturing proved too costly and slow to scale, and a critical merger/acquisition attempt fell through. Mass Layoffs: By mid-2023, almost the entire staff was laid off, leaving just a skeleton crew of the co-founders (Chris and Hanna). ⚖️ Current Status & Community Backlash Discussions on Reddit (/r/minipainting) and DakkaDakka have turned incredibly hostile. Backers are furious over unfulfilled promises totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. The Fate of Rivenstone: The IP was transferred to Strange Plastic. While they are trying to salvage the game by releasing digital STLs and small physical items, full fulfillment for original backers remains highly uncertain. The Digital Wipe: BAM's online presence has been scrubbed. Most STL files have been delisted, shop pages are down, and their Discord is locked or silent. Legal Action: Frustrated backers are actively pursuing credit card chargebacks and filing formal complaints with the Washington State Attorney General. ⚠️ The Takeaway: The BAM saga is a textbook cautionary tale for the crowdfunding era. It proves that great renders and passionate studio culture mean nothing without sustainable financial management. Many hobbyists are now shifting their trust toward studios that stick to pure digital STL distribution with transparent, consistent timelines. If you backed any of their projects, make sure to check Kickstarter the for the latest updates. #BrokenAnvil #hehesaga #stl #stlnews 🥺 LIVE — Subscribe 🥺LIVE — Подписаться

#0 🦖 #Henopticon The Gugugaga Penguin is a viral AI-generated meme that originated on Bilibili in early 2026. It features Endmin, a character from Arknights: Endfield, reimagined as a chibi penguin by fans. The meme combines AI-generated visuals, a child's scream edited into an anime voice, and absurd AI-created scenarios of the penguin doing daily tasks. It quickly spread due to its surreal humor and rapid online sharing. The trend is part of broader AI "brainrot" culture on platforms like Bilibili and Roblox.

ChuyaFactory continues to deliver high-quality STL files with a focus on intricate anime aesthetics and well-engineered bases. Unlike some other recent releases in the scene, their geometry remains consistently sharp and print-ready. In the latest update: #Nami: A stunning new model of the legendary navigator from #OnePiece, featuring dynamic hair flow and finely detailed accessories. #YorForger: Fan art of the "Thorn Princess" from #SpyXFamily. The model often comes with versatile swap-out options (casual vs. assassin), maintaining the studio's high standards. #Makima: A commanding figure of the lead protagonist from #ChainsawMan, capturing her cold yet captivating presence with great precision. #BlueArchive: A series of character models from the popular mobile game, executed with the soft yet detailed style characteristic of the franchise. #TifaLockhart: Another iteration of the #FinalFantasyVII icon, focusing on anatomical accuracy and optimized supports for high-detail resin printing. 🥺 LIVE — Subscribe
