Happy International Women’s Day!!!🩵🩵🩵 A bit of history: This day’s first celebration (then called “National Women’s Day, as it was only in the US) took place on February 23rd 1909 in NYC with over 2000 people. Its primary goal was to erase the inequality between men and women. The international version of the women’s day was first celebrated in 1911 in several European states. Since then the celebration—though the date was later changed to March 8—has been an important event for women to advocate for their rights. To every girl reading this—you’re strong, and your voice matters!
