Overall, the percentage of women in the total workforce is the highest in Japan, followed by the USA, Australia and Sri Lanka. Moreover, the proportion of women working as managers is identical in the USA and Australia, and this figure is considerably higher than that of/in the remaining countries. When it comes to the percentage of women in the total workforce, 48% of employees are women in Japan, making it the highest figure among the five countries. In the USA, this figure is 46%, and it is followed by Australia and Sri Lanka with the respective figures of 42% and 41%. Significantly lower percentage can be seen in Egypt, where only a fifth of the workforce is women. As for women managers, this percentage in Australia is as high as in the USA, at 43% and it is considerably higher than the other three countries. In Japan and Egypt, the percentage of women managers is 17% and 12%, respectively.
