BankNifty futures is close to 49800 last support level. The 200 DEMA is around 50050. Close below these levels can lead to 1500-2000 points fall positionally. Look for short side trades.
HDFC bank alone has 32.6% weightage in BankNifty and 27% in Nifty so when this is down 2.6% now, it is the main reason for the fall in major indices.
Went with BankNifty puts as it was weaker compared to Nifty. Last week of Banknifty weekly expiry. Now there will only be monthly expiry in BankNifty. Nifty continues with weekly and monthly expiries.
