A Day at the ATOM Museum ⚛️ InteRussia energy fellows from Latin America visited the ATOM Museum at VDNH, exploring the history, development and future of Russia’s nuclear industry. During the guided tour, the fellows: 🔷 learned about key milestones in nuclear energy and Russian nuclear science; 🔷 explored modern nuclear technologies through interactive exhibits; 🔷 visited the special exhibition Atomarium and learned about particle acceleration, nuclear fusion and the principles behind a reactor. The visit gave the fellows an opportunity to better understand the role of nuclear energy in today’s energy landscape and its future development. What Keeps the Energy Sector Moving? ✨ During their stay in Moscow, the InteRussia energy fellows from Latin America explored two organisations playing an important role in Russia’s energy sector — the Global Energy Association and the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy. 🌱 Global Energy Association The fellows learned more about the organisation’s structure, areas of activity and its role in promoting international cooperation in the energy sector. The participants discussed key trends shaping the global energy landscape, including energy security, technological development and the transition towards more sustainable energy systems. 🌱 Russian Energy Agency The fellows also visited the Russian Energy Agency (REA) of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. There, they learned about the agency’s structure and its role in supporting the development of Russia’s fuel and energy complex. The participants were introduced to the agency’s analytical and expert work and its cooperation with industry stakeholders. Can nuclear technology and human connection go hand in hand? ⬇️ That’s what Dhita Ariyanti, a researcher from Indonesia, discovered during the InteRussia Fellowship Programme in Nuclear Technologies. From expert-led training in nuclear energy to an unforgettable visit to Obninsk, the fellowship became a space for scientific discovery, international dialogue and new professional connections. Dhita also began a joint research project with fellow participants from Nigeria, Uzbekistan and Pakistan — work that is still continuing today.
