The latest statistics show a greater percentage of children killed in Gaza than in the Nazi holocaust during World War II. The scale of Israel's open slaughter of children in Gaza is historically unprecedented. The Muslim World Telegram https://t.me/tmw_media

"This victory belongs to every student who has been intimidated for wearing a keffiyeh, every lecturer who has been threatened with disciplinary action for expressing anti-Zionist views, and everyone everywhere who refuses to be silenced by Zionist lawfare and intimidation." Professor David Miller has declared a "historic" legal victory after judges upheld his right to hold anti-Zionist beliefs, calling it a watershed moment for pro-Palestine activism in Britain. Miller was unlawfully sacked by the University of Bristol in 2021 for comments he made about Zionism.

The killing in Gaza continues through a strategy of relentless attrition, far from the media spotlight. Today alone, since dawn on Friday, 14 Muslims have been killed—may Allah accept them among the martyrs—and 37 others have been wounded. Just a short while ago, a funeral procession in Nuseirat was struck. Eight of those who had come to bury the deceased were themselves killed, so that each one who came to attend a funeral became the subject of a new funeral. Can you imagine the magnitude of such evil? Even a funeral is no longer a place of safety. Even those mourning the dead have become targets. O Allah, be gentle with the people of Gaza. Strengthen their hearts. Take vengeance upon those who have wronged them and conspired against them. And enable us to support them in a way that absolves us of the sin of failing them.

These are the children of Abdul Rahman Yassin and Dr. Rania al-Abbasi. After the discovery that their father had been killed—may Allah have mercy on him—and after his death was identified among the photographs documented by Caesar Photos, it became apparent that all six of their children had also been killed. As much beauty and innocence as one sees in the faces of these murdered children, one also sees ugliness and criminality—not only in the regime of the “fugitive rat,” but also in the international system that enabled this disgraceful dynasty to rule for 54 years and that was preparing to normalize relations with Bashar in its final years. The tragedy of this family is only one among millions of painful stories. And if this particular story has reached the media, countless others have not: in Syria, Palestine, Sudan, Burma (Myanmar), East Turkestan, Kashmir, and every land where Muslims are persecuted. The innocence and beauty reflected in the faces of these children should awaken within us a sense of responsibility toward suffering humanity in the absence of the justice and protection that Islam seeks to establish. It should remind us of the Qur’anic call to stand against oppression: “And what is [the matter] with you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah and for the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, ‘Our Lord, take us out of this town whose people are oppressors, and appoint for us from Yourself a protector, and appoint for us from Yourself a helper’?” — Qur’an translated meaning 4:75 We offer our condolences to the families of the Yassin and al-Abbasi children, and we ask Allah to reunite them with Abdul Rahman, Rania, and their children in the Gardens of Eternity, without reckoning and without punishment.

Israel’s PM Netanyahu orders the IDF to seize 70% of the Gaza Strip Netanyahu: “At this point, we are fully in control of 60% of the territory of the Gaza Strip… and my directive is to get to… 70%” Audience member: “100! 100!” Netanyahu: “Wait, let’s go in order. First 70%. Let’s start with that.” Israel had withdrawn to 53% of Gaza after the ceasefire brokered by the US last October, but has steadily expanded control to over 60%, maps show. For those who may have fallen short in striving in worship during the past days: The train has not passed you by. The opportunity is still open. The coming days are the greatest of all days — so come, let us strive together. Dear brothers and sisters, do you realize what we are approaching tomorrow? We are approaching the Day of Day of Arafah, about which our Prophet ﷺ said: “Fasting the Day of Arafah — I hope from Allah that it expiates the sins of the year before it and the year after it.” A single day of fasting through which the Most Merciful forgives the sins of two years! And regarding this day, our Prophet ﷺ also said: “The best supplication is the supplication made on the Day of Arafah.” Do you have hopes and needs that you long for Allah to fulfill? Worries you pray He will remove? Then now is the season. Do you feel distant from Allah and hope that He will draw you close again and allow your heart to find comfort in Him? Now is the season. Has your heart become hardened and filled with spiritual diseases, while you yearn for Allah to soften and purify it? Now is the season. Do you wish for Allah’s pleasure to descend upon you so that He will never again be displeased with you? Do you wish for your body to be forbidden from the Fire? Now is the season. The Prophet ﷺ said: “There is no day on which Allah frees more servants from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.” So it is no wonder that Allah made the day after Arafah a day of Eid — a celebration in which Muslims rejoice in the mercy, forgiveness, and generosity of Allah that they hope for. In Ramadan, Laylat al-Qadr is hidden from us; we do not know exactly when it is. But the Day of Arafah is a day Allah has clearly informed you about. If striving hard in worship during five nights — the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan — feels difficult, then will striving during this one known day truly weigh heavily upon you? So let your resolve rise. Think well of Allah’s mercy and the vastness of His forgiveness. Beware of letting Satan enter through the door of excessive self-reproach, making you feel cut off from your Lord and unworthy of His mercy. “Indeed, Allah forgives all sins.” And do not forget your brothers and sisters in Gaza, throughout Palestine, in Sudan, and everywhere else — pray that Allah grants them relief and uses you in supporting them, a support through which He removes from you the sin of abandoning them. O Allah, grant me and my brothers and sisters success in performing righteous deeds that are accepted by You.

From Golders Green to ‘Global Intifada’: Protest to Crime? | EP115 On 29th April, a knife attack in Golders Green quickly became more than just an isolated incident. Labelled as terrorism and framed around antisemitism, it soon fed into a wider debate around pro-Palestinian protests and the phrase “global intifada.” In this episode, we unpack what actually happened, how the narrative developed, and why language is now at the centre of the conversation. Are political terms being redefined? And what happens when protests start being linked to extremism? We also discuss the role of media framing, Keir Starmer's response, and whether fear is being used to justify tighter control over public expression. https://youtu.be/M5tnwMsAp-Q?si=4p9m3L3YmCqMZxIM

📝  A dear friend living in Germany sent me this uplifting message, and I wanted to share it with you all. My friend “Abu Muhammad” says: “A beautiful and touching incident that I wanted to share with you, Dr. Iyad. I received a WhatsApp message about a German Muslim man who had passed away (owner of the attached photo). Among his family, there was no other Muslim except him to pray over him and bury him in a Muslim cemetery… in fact, the only Muslim in his family was his wife. So I agreed with three of my friends that we would go. On the way, I felt a bit uneasy: ‘Will only a small number of men pray over this deceased Muslim? How will the burial ceremony be with so few people?’ When we arrived at the cemetery, what an astonishing scene greeted us! Nearly 70 Muslim men had gathered together. They didn’t know one another, and they knew nothing about the deceased except that he was a Muslim who had no family to bury him. They had all come in solidarity for him! The call to attend the funeral had spread across social media, WhatsApp groups, and status updates. We began the funeral prayer and burial proceedings. Meanwhile, about 7 or 8 members of the deceased’s non-Muslim family stood at a distance, watching in silence as we prayed over their loved one and then took full charge of burying him—without them participating in any part of it. Then, moments later, I suddenly heard people shouting *Takbīr* (Allahu Akbar)! What was happening? Why were they making *takbīr*? A friend came up to me and asked, ‘Did you see what just happened?’ ‘No… what happened?’ He said: The deceased’s brother was so deeply moved by the sight of the Muslims’ solidarity, their mercy toward their German brother, and how they showed up to attend the funeral and bury him—even though they didn’t know him personally—that he approached one of the brothers and asked, ‘How do I become a Muslim?’ The brother taught him the *Shahāda* (declaration of faith), and by the grace of Allah, the man embraced Islam on the spot. The Muslims then raised *takbīr* in joy for him. By Allah, anyone who lives in those countries sees all the false masks fall away! Imagine a man who spends 60 or 70 years in a society, and when the moment of death and burial finally comes, he finds no more than 7 or 8 people around him! Just imagine the emptiness and tragedy of the life these people lead—the very life that the corrupt ones try to present to us as a model, working tirelessly to reshape our societies to match theirs in culture and thought! This incident filled me with pride in Islam and the beauty of its Sharia and teachings. By Allah, we are drowning in blessings that we don’t even feel, simply because we have grown so accustomed to them. We think they are normal and ordinary, when in reality they are anything but ordinary—and the vast majority of other societies are completely deprived of them. All praise is due to Allah for the blessing of Islam—and it is blessing enough. May Allah grant us both to live and die in Muslim lands. I ask Him, the Exalted, to have mercy on our German Muslim brother, to keep his newly converted brother firm upon Islam, and to gather us all together in the highest level of Paradise.” — End of Abu Muhammad’s message. And I say, dear friends: Sometimes the wisdom of our great Sharia becomes clear to one of us in the most unexpected ways! Look at how our Prophet ﷺ urged us to pray over the deceased and attend his burial, and informed us of the immense reward for doing so. We may sometimes overlook one of its profound effects: it visibly demonstrates the unity, mercy, and compassion of the Muslims in front of others who have been deprived of all of this—becoming, in itself, a powerful and eloquent invitation to them. All praise is due to Allah for the blessing of Islam—and it is blessing enough. @EyadQunaibi1

Israel demolished an entire village as part of its illegal invasion of southern Lebanon. Video shared on April 12 shows the demolition of Taybeh village. Tel Aviv has razed the civilian villages of Taybeh, Naqoura and Deir Seryan along the Israel-Lebanon border, using a model similar to that seen in Palestine's Gaza, as it moves ahead with its illegal occupation of a sovereign country.

EP114: Iran War - What This Means for the Muslim World The Iran war has dominated headlines — but beyond the question of who won, what does this actually mean for the Muslim world? In this episode of The Muslim Podcaster, I am joined by Rash and JK as we break down the outcome of the Iran conflict, the ceasefire, and the wider implications of what we’ve seen unfold. More importantly, the discussion turns to what this reveals about the current state of the Muslim world — are Muslims simply reacting to global events, or is there a deeper issue at play? Plenty to think about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6RXzNCmlCY
