🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- MONDAY, 17TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: GOD CAN DO ALL THINGS? 📖 FURTHER READING NUMBERS 11:18–35 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness? (Psalms 78:19) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 35–37 🖊️ COMMENTARY God had already provided manna, which had everything the people of God needed for nutrition and which could be prepared in a variety of ways. But these people wanted more and began to ask for meat. Moreover, they began to compare their life in the wilderness with their life in Egypt. They implied that God could only provide His people with manna while Pharaoh had so many varieties for his slaves. As the Psalmist explained hundreds of years later, God's people doubted that He could set a table before them in the desert. And God answered them. I will give you meat not just one night but for an entire month nonstop." When Moses reminded Him that the fighting men alone were over 600,000, He responded, "Is the LORD'S hand waxed short? Thou shalt see now whether my word shall come to pass unto thee or not." And they saw, tasted and believed. Next, God filled 70 elders with His Spirit so that they could feel what Moses felt and partner with him in the ministry to the people. This is an early sign of "I will pour my Spirit upon all flesh (Joel 2:28)". The more members feel what the pastor or leader feels, the easier it will be to run a church. Moses rejoiced at their elevation and scolded those who tried to limit the number of those to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That is a sign of a humble and mature believer. Pray that whatever burden God gives you, He will give to others. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS God can do all things, no matter the limitation that seem to stand on His way. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me to believe and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and to seek the baptism for all saints, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always follow & share with your friends and family our channel link: GOD'S WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDAysyAzNbwX6Rf862A 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 ANOINTED WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbD9FwS2f3ECIlfJA71v It's a blessing that needs to go round. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- SUNDAY, 16TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: I AM A CHILD SYNDROME 📖 FURTHER READING JEREMIAH 1:1–10; 2 CHRONICLES 34:1 🔑 KEY VERSE: "But the Lord said unto me, say not, I am a child! for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee..."" (Jer. 1:7). 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 32–34 🖊️ COMMENTARY Some people live in the delusion and captivity of "I am but a child" in the things of God. There are some who never grow out of being a child or thinking like a child. Such people give excuses for every failure. Sometimes too, others blanket them with, "'he is a child." Often times, such excuses are made to avoid taking responsibility for one's actions or inactions. Life really starts when you stop manufacturing excuses as to why you are not living it the way you were designed by God to live it. So, stop those childish excuses and confessions. Live your life and carry out your assignment according to God's word rather than what you think or anybody else says about you. This was the message by God to Jeremiah: "Say not, "I am a child." Josiah became the king of Judah at the age of eight. The life and times of Josiah is an indictment on many who attribute their failures to age. If God is with you no matter your age, you will fulfill your assignment. What do you think of yourself? Rid your mind of this "I am but a child" syndrome. Live by what God is saying. Grow up! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS I am but a child is a weak excuse for non-performance when God is involved. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me live my life by the dictates of Your words, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always follow & share with your friends and family our channel link: GOD'S WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDAysyAzNbwX6Rf862A 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 ANOINTED WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbD9FwS2f3ECIlfJA71v It's a blessing that needs to go round. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- SATURDAY, 15TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: USE THE ROD OF CORRECTION 📖 FURTHER READING PROV. 22:15, 23:13,14 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; the rod of correction will drive it far from him" (Prov. 22:15). 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 30–31 🖊️ COMMENTARY In a world where morality, respect and decency are fading out. Our children are becoming messier. It is now incumbent upon parents and church leaders to appropriate this scripture. We cannot be wiser than God. In several portions of the Bible, God expressly advised the use of a rod in correcting a child. Many vehemently condemn it today. But the question is: what is a rod here? It is not just a piece of metal. Rod here refers to the instrument of correction. The instrument could stand for many things, such as: usage of the word of God; piece of advice: rebuke; mild punishment; sparking striking on the buttocks with the open hand; denial of certain rights for a short moment or use of a cane with love, etc. The above list constitutes the rod of correction that could be used in driving away the foolishness bound in the heart of a child. Foolishness here refers to silly things that children do. The child left alone has no proper understanding. He lacks sound judgement, therefore his works are full of silly mistakes. Correct the child when you are sitting down to eat, correct him when you are about to sleep, correct him when you are going out, correct him in the church, correct him in school, correct him everywhere and every time but with love. "The rod and rebuke give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to the mother:" Proverbs 29: 15. Correct your son and he will give you rest, yes, he will give delight to your soul"., Proverbs 29: 17. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Children make a lot of mistakes. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- FRIDAY, 14TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: HONOURING PARENTS 📖 FURTHER READING EPHESIANS 6:1–9 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD ... is giving you." (Exodus 20:12) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 26–29 🖊️ COMMENTARY It might come as a surprise to many of us that this commandment is not age-specific. It's a commandment not just for the young but for children of all ages. God asks that parents be worthy of honour in the way they relate to their children. And God commands that children obey and show respect for their parents in line with doing what is right. This means both have to act appropriately at each stage of their lives together. This commandment came to a society without the support systems that many of us are used to. Adult children were totally responsible for looking after aging parents. God reminds us that as long as we have parents, we should honour them, seeing that their living is respectable, and they are well cared for. It's not just a matter of doing what our parents tell us to do when we are young. It's a matter of showing life-long honour to the parents who gave us life, raised us, and launched us on life's journey. The apostle Paul calls this "the first commandment with a promise." God indicates that when we honour our parents, he will honor us. Some parents are easier to honour than others. But respecting those whom the Lord has chosen to place over us opens a door to blessing. By honouring our parents and others whom God places in authority over us, we honour our Father in heaven. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Honour parents not for what they have done but for who they are. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, thank You for our parents, grant us the grace to honour them, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always follow & share with your friends and family our channel link: GOD'S WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDAysyAzNbwX6Rf862A 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 ANOINTED WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbD9FwS2f3ECIlfJA71v It's a blessing that needs to go round. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- THURSDAY, 13TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC:GOD LOVES CHILDREN 📖 FURTHER READING Malachi 2:15–16 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring." (Malachi 2:15) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 23–25 🖊️ COMMENTARY God loves children. Every child is made in the image of God. In the garden of Eden, even before sin entered the world, God made people as body and spirit together, and he made male and female to reflect his image in the world. God commissioned people to care for his world, to cultivate culture, and to be fruitful and multiply. We were designed to reflect God's glory everywhere. As a result, the children people produce are to be raised as citizens of God's kingdom, using their gifts to glorify God. That is the core calling of all parents. Whether by nature or by nurture, a baby should closely resemble his or her parents, both physically and spiritually. If the parents cannot overcome their differences by means of a self-sacrificing love modeled after God's love, then the child will often be burdened with a spirit of division and disharmony. After all, that's what he or she will grow up with. That's what God was seeing in Malachi's day. God's desire for us, always, is that we be godly offspring, children who love and serve him in a self-sacrificing way. In our world today, much of the opposite is taking place. What kind of spirit will you give Jesus today, as well as to the surrounding children Will it be a spirit that helps both you and them grow closer to Jesus? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Whether by nature or by nurture, a baby should closely resemble his or her parents. 🙏🏿 PRAYER Father, please fill us with Your love, and make it contagious in our families and beyond, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always follow & share with your friends and family our channel link: GOD'S WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDAysyAzNbwX6Rf862A 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 ANOINTED WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbD9FwS2f3ECIlfJA71v It's a blessing that needs to go round. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- WEDNESDAY 12TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: RAISING CHRISTIAN CHILDREN 📖 FURTHER READING 1 SAMUEL 2:12–22; 8:1–3 🔑 KEY VERSE: "I and the children thou have given to me are for signs and wonders" (Isaiah 8:18) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 18–22 🖊️ COMMENTARY The above key verse expresses a declaration of being marked for divine purpose, signifying that the speaker and his offspring are meant to be witnesses and examples of God's power and works. The same is expected of us believers even in this wicked and adulterous generation. Unfortunately, in reality, this is not always the case. There are many instances where even pastors' children lived a life that contradicted what their parents preach. Such pastors' children are like those of Eli's. Eli, no doubt, was a good man. But his children were described as "scoundrel" (wicked). They had no regard for the Lord, treated His offering with contempt and raped women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting. This gives credit to Hannah, whose boy, Samuel, grew up. among such corrupt boys but did not tow their line. Ironically, Samuel himself did not have a better experience with his children than his master, Eli. His children did not walk in his ways; they turned aside after dishonest gain, took bribes and perverted justice (1 Samuel 8: 3). Our children must not live like the world. Even though they are in the world, they are not of the world. The Christian home is chosen and set apart by God to show God's light in a dark world. Other children may, Christian kids cannot. Every Christian parent should strive to inculcate into their children the fact that they are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation; they are role models to the world. Others may, they cannot. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Others may. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- TUESDAY 11TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: DON'T LOSE HOPE ON THAT DELINQUENT CHILD 📖 FURTHER READING GENESIS 34:25–31 🔑 KEY VERSE: "...Onesimus whom I have begotten in my bonds; which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me? (Philemon 1: 10-11) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 14–17 🖊️ COMMENTARY The Bible made us know that "children are an heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is his reward" (Psalm 127:3). This implies that children are gifts from God and if they are gifts from God, then they are good. Delinquency, which is the ability to regularly do illegal and immoral things, is a strong seed that is not from the beginning. A lot of children have made their parents cry. Some parents, on the other hand, have gone to the extreme by disowning their children. That is not the solution. A disowned child has been sold completely into strange hands and usually the hands that welcome such a child make the child ten times worse. Dear parent, delinquency in children did not begin today. It started with the first child that came into the world. When Cain killed Abel, to Adam it was like his world had collapsed. Later, Seth arrived and the righteous lineage continued. Almost all the twelve sons of Jacob disappointed and brought shame and tears to him at one point or the other, but at last, the names of these twelve sons were written on the twelve gates of New Jerusalem according to Revelation 2 1:12. There is hope for that child that is making you cry today. Just fulfill your duties toward him/her. Take adequate care of the child, teach him all he needs to succeed in life, especially the way of the Lord, and then keep on praying for him every day even if he is far from you. Believe God, he will.not be lost. Saul later became Paul. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Saul later became Paul and useless Onesimus later became useful. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, I pray for all delinquent children, arrest them as You did to Saul on his way to Damascus, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always follow & share with your friends and family our channel link: GOD'S WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDAysyAzNbwX6Rf862A 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 ANOINTED WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbD9FwS2f3ECIlfJA71v It's a blessing that needs to go round. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- MONDAY 10TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: LAY A SOLID FOUNDATION FOR YOUR CHILDREN 📖 FURTHER READING 2 COR.12:14-18 🔑 KEY VER "Now, for the third time, I am ready to come to you. And I will not be burdensome to you; for I do not seek yours, but you. For the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children" (II Cor. 12:14). 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 10–13 🖊️ COMMENTARY There is an evil trend prevalent in our society today. Children are turned into bread winners in many families and put the blame on hardship. Be that as it may, these minors should not be subjected to hawking, hustling with motorcycles and tricycles or doing other jobs that amount to child abuse. These children feed themselves, some also feed their families. While most of these parents are alive and healthy, they allow their children to carry out responsibilities meant for their parents. Paul, in his letter to the Corinthian church, stated clearly that he was not a burden to the brethren who he considered to be his children in the Lord. This affirms that children should not first lay-up inheritance for the parents but parents for the children. Parents should feed them, care for them, put them in good schools and guide them to be established. Don't expect them to pay you back in the short term. Before you leave this world, lay-up for your children a home, landed property and other good legacies if God blesses you with the means. Train them to imbibe the virtue of hard work. Give your children a solid foundation for success in life, such as the knowledge of God and His word, a sound education, a positive attitude, and good character. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS A responsible father lays a solid foundation for the success of his children. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me to be a responsible Father to my children, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always follow & share with your friends and family our channel link: GOD'S WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDAysyAzNbwX6Rf862A 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 ANOINTED WORD CHANNEL https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VbD9FwS2f3ECIlfJA71v It's a blessing that needs to go round. 🍲 *EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL* ----------------------------------- *SUNDAY 9TH AUGUST, 2026* *TOPIC: LAYING GODLY FOUNDATION* 📖 *FURTHER READING* MATTHEW 3:1-3 🔑 *KEY VERSE:* "In those days come John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, And saying, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand" (Matt. 3:1–2). 📜 *ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN* JEREMIAH 7–9 🖊️ *COMMENTARY* The way Matthew started this chapter is quite interesting: "In those days came John the Baptist..." But where was John before those days? What activities was he engaged in before those days? What was it that made him to surface to limelight, drawing great attention at such a time? The one possible answer to all these questions is, PREPARATION, He had been in preparation; hence, he arrived, not wanting what to do but doing what he came to do. Off–course, John's parents must have had a strong influence on him. They were the ones that received the prophecy about his life and ministry, and must have impressed it upon him early enough. They must have shared with him on several occasions all the issues that surrounded his birth. They must have also told him that he was filled with the Holy Ghost while in the womb, and should stay away from wine and strong drink. Obviously, they were able to convince him of the certainty of that prophecy, which made him not to miss it when the appointed time came. Who knows how many times he was tempted to do otherwise. Thank God for a godly foundation! The initial foundation we lay for our children will help them to locate their placements in life early enough and to prepare for the same. Such a foundation should not be taken for granted or left in the hands of outsiders. We should be able to discern from God the colourful destinies He has for our children; then, we work at laying a firm foundation that will help them realize such destinies. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 *CONTROLLING THOUGHTS* Proper preparations prevent poor performance 🙏🏿 *PRAYER* LORD, help me to give more attention to the requirements for my proper preparations, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: TODAY IS YOUR BEST SEASON 📖 FURTHER READING ECCLESIASTES 9:4–8 🔑 KEY VERSE: "To him that is joined to all the living, there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion;" (Eccl 9:4) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 4–6 🖊️ COMMENTARY Many people are stranded in life by their past. To some, it is the negative experiences they had in the past; while to some, it is the successes they had in the past. Yet, the seeming tyrannical influence of the past over any life is a function of choice. Whatever happened to you yesterday, be it the experience of rejection and reproach or blissful encounters, none is as important as what you choose to do with yourself today. Whatever your future will become is intrinsically tied mostly to what you do with your today. Each new day we step into offers us the hope to be better and to achieve more than we did yesterday. Hence, our text says, "...to him that is joined to all the living, there is hope..."(Eccl. 9:4). Today is a very jealous gift that may refuse to cooperate or profit the beneficiary if not given maximum attention. Do not spend your today mourning over the negative past or basking in past glory. Having made it into today, refuse to be tied to the apron of your past. Rather, process the memories of the past, be they good or bad, as an opportunity for growth something that inspires you. Live so resourcefully today to create your choice tomorrow. Let go of the past: Today is your best season! ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Today is your best season. Make good use of it. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me to fully maximize today, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- FRIDAY 7TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: REJOICE WHEN GOD HELPS SOMEONE 📖 FURTHER READING EXODUS 18:1–12 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing.wherein they dealt proudly he was above them." (Exodus 18:11) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN JEREMIAH 1–3 🖊️ COMMENTARY Jethro came to see Moses and return his family to him. Moses shared with him the testimony of how God had been with them. Jethro listened with rapt attention to the testimony. At various times, we discourage people by not paying attention to their testimony or what they have to say. We need to put ourselves in the place of the testifier and live through his story with him. Secondly, Jethro expressed his joyful reaction to the testimonies. He didn't sit there moping, dozing or yawning with boredom. He was not stoic. He showed positive emotion towards the things he heard. That is the way to enjoy God's goodness to others. You can appropriate God's goodness by enjoying and rejoicing in someone's testimony. Thirdly, Jethro gave an offering after verbalizing his praises to God. He sacrificed a burnt offering to God for His goodness to others. We need to own other's testimonies, get up and join them, shout with them, kneel with them and dance with them. We need to offer gifts to God on their behalf. Finally, we should learn to share testimonies. In any fellowship with members like Jethro, there are bound to be testimonies. Where the members despise or ignore testimonies, it will dry up. Moses shared and Jethro responded. That is what fellowship is about. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Make other's testimony yours by owning the testimonies and reacting appropriately to them. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me to participate in every testimony of Your goodness and power. And help me share my testimony with others, so that Your name will be glorified, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- WEDNESDAY 5TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: REACHING OUT TO BLESS OTHERS 📖 FURTHER READING GENESIS 49:22–26 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a wall; whose branches run over the wall" (Genesis 49:22) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN 2 KINGS 22–23, 2 CHRONICLES 34–35 🖊️ COMMENTARY Jacob had gathered his sons to bless them and to prophesy into their future. When it was Joseph's turn to be blessed, his father began his prophecy by saying that Joseph was going to be a fruitful bough (vine) in a well whose branches run over the wall. This prophetic declaration has great implications. Joseph was not just going to be fruitful, but his fruitfulness would extend beyond borders. Walls were never to enclose his fruits. His branches must reach over so that anyone who is in need of shade or is weary and hungry can help himself in the cool shade of the fruit-filled branch. Interestingly, under Old Testament customs, the branches and fruits which run over the wall are in the public domain anybody may partake of them. This is what God wants to make of you as a believer. You must not allow any wall to hinder you from being a blessing to everyone that will come across your path. You don't always have to wait for people to come to you asking for help rather you can learn to reach out to be a blessing to others. Be a blessing to someone today. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS We are blessed to be a blessing. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, make me large–hearted enough to be a blessing to everyone that comes my way, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. It's a blessing that needs to go round. Grace to you, AMEN
🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- TUESDAY 4TH AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: DON'T DECIDE OUT OF DESPERATION 📖 FURTHER READING GENESIS 25:29–34 🔑 KEY VERSE: "And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob... thus Esau despised his birthright'" (Gen 25:32-34) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN NAHUM 1–end 🖊️ COMMENTARY Knowledge and understanding are important in decision-making. Decision-making is based on the information or knowledge one acts upon. We make decisions either out of the need to avoid pain or the desire to gain pleasure. Consequently, there are some decisions we made to avoid certain pleasures because we envisaged the danger or pain they could cause us. Equally, there are decisions we make to undergo certain huddles and pains because of the understanding that great gains or pleasures lie ahead. In all, the borderline between wrong and right decisions is the knowledge or understanding on which our decisions are predicated. If it is faulty, our decisions are bound to be wrong and, so, the outcome. In the same way, if it is right, our decisions will be right and, so, the outcome. Unfortunately, many people do not arm themselves early enough with quality knowledge before making certain decisions. Just like Esau who tossed his birthright to the wind for a port of 'red stew' (Gen 25:29-34). As Brother Gbile observed, by that singular decision, Esau"...slaughtered his eternity on the altar of present time; and faced life with vagueness." May we give ourselves early enough to acquire quality knowledge relevant to our course in life; it will help us to make the right decisions when the time comes. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS It's always difficult to make the right decisions whenever we get desperate. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me to avoid making any decision out of desperation, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. 🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- MONDAY 3RD AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: THE POWER OF YOUR DECISIONS 📖 FURTHER READING LUKE 15:11–24 🔑 KEY VERSE: "But He made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (Phil. 2:7-8). 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN 2 CHRONICLES 32–33 🖊️ COMMENTARY The story of the prodigal son embodies great and transforming lessons, one of which is "The Power of Decision-Making," With one decision, he found himself at the lowest rung of life as a swineherd, a job considered as the basest and vilest, an terribly degrading, especially to a Jew. He was so starved of food that he even preferred the food of the swine (vv. 13-16). Then, with another decision, he left that level of life and rose to the height of celebrity, even to the envy of his elder brother (vv. 17- 32). The act of decision-making is one tool by which men steer their lives around for good or bad. It is always done in the now, and the effect follows later and can make or mar a life. As James Allen puts it, "...at the end of the day, it is our decisions, not necessarily the circumstances we find ourselves in, that govern our lives." The prodigal son was wise enough not to have blamed anybody for his degradation. When he came to his rightful mind, he acknowledged that it was his decision that degraded his life; and by the tool of decision he upgraded it again. Of course, a decision is no decision if it is not backed up by corresponding action. So, when he resolved on the new course his life would go, he followed it through. The scriptures picture his decisions and action thus: "I will arise and go to my father... And he arose, and came to his father..." (vv. 18-20). Today is your lifetime opportunity to activate the power of your decision. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Your decision have the catalyst power of degrading or upgrading your life. Use it well! 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me to upgrade my life through my decision power, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. 🍲 *EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL* ----------------------------------- *SUNDAY 2ND AUGUST, 2026* *TOPIC: PRAY FOR MISSIONS FIELDS* 📖 *FURTHER READING* JONAH 3:4--8 🔑 *KEY VERSE:* "Do you not say, There are still four months and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!" (John 4:35) 📜 *ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN* 2 KINGS 20–21 🖊️ *COMMENTARY* Historically and culturally, the Assyrian culture of the Ninevites was godless, brutal, and fiercely courageous in conquering their enemies. Yet, God sent a fearful Jonah, warning the Ninevites of imminent judgement (Jonah 3:4-5). So the King issued a decree: "Let everyone turn from his evil way and from the violence that is in his hands (Jonah 3:8). "Predictably, the Lord responded with forgiveness, and the judgmental disaster was cancelled. The world lies in gross darkness just like the ancient Nineveh. No wonder, Jesus told his disciples to look at the field that the harvest is ripe, but labourers are few, pray ....A.B. Simpson, the great missionary pastor, said, "Prayer is the mighty engine that is to move the missionary work." Just as you cannot move a train forward without the engine, so you cannot move missions forward without the engine of prayer. We can never imagine what praying for specific nations and unreached people groups can do. We cannot do missions without prayer, and your prayers make a difference. So today, we will pray for the various Missions fields of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, Home and Abroad. Pray for our Foreign Missions fields in Niger Republic, Tchad, Guinea, Gabon, Dubai, Cameroon and Central Africa Republic. Home Missions fields: Missions Gembu and Missions Kwara, Ekiti and Oyo. 1. Pray for their local friendships, for open hearts, and transformed lives. (Colossians 4:3, ESV). 2. Pray for the word of God to mightily prevail and grow. 3. Pray against the powers of darkness that are in control of these regions. There are some great resources out there, like Operation World and the Joshua Project that will help us pray for the missions field until Revelation 7:9 is fulfilled. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 *CONTROLLING THOUGHTS* What we pray for here will determine what we see there. 🙏🏿 *PRAYER* Father, give me the burden to intercede for any missionary field you will lay in my heart, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. It's a blessing that needs to go round. Grace to you, AMEN
🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST, 2026 TOPIC: PRAY FOR MISSIONARIES 📖 FURTHER READING EPHESIANS 6:18–20 🔑 KEY VERSE: "Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel," (Ephesians 6:19) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN ISAIAH 64–66 🖊️ COMMENTARY Missionaries are the target of the devil and his cohorts who are out to attack anyone who talks about Christ and His grace. Thus, it is very important for the Church to devote time to praying for them, especially for those in hostile environments. Paul, the apostle and missionary in our text, demanded prayer support from the Ephesian Church, in spite of the fact that he was a spiritual giant. Many would have thought somebody of Paul's spiritual level wouldn't need to ask for prayers, but he did for the work's sake. There are a lot of ways you can pray for missionaries. You can also connect with the missions- department of your local church or national headquarters to obtain the names of missionaries. As Paul requested for prayer, today we are going to be praying for missionaries: 1. Pray for their relationship with God, spiritual rest, maturity in the faith, and overflow of the Spirit. (John 15:5, ESV). 2. Pray for their physical well-being and their emotional well-being. (2 Thessalonians 3:1-2, 16-17, ESV). 3. Pray for financial provision from God through faithful partners. (Philippians 4: 18, ESV). 4. Pray for courage, obedience to the Spirit, and the advancement of the gospel in their work and ministry. (1 Corinthians 15:58, ESV). 5. Pray for their team's effectiveness and unity (Philippians 2:1-2, ESV). Pray for more workers to join them on the mission field. (Luke 10:2,6 ESV). ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Devote time to pray for them. 🙏🏿 PRAYER LORD, help me to support the missions work through prayers, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. It's a blessing that needs to go round. Grace to you, AMEN
🍲 EVANGEL DAILY MEAL– A.G DAILY DEVOTIONAL ----------------------------------- FRIDAY 31ST JULY, 2026 TOPIC: BE FERVENT IN SOUL WINNING 2 📖 FURTHER READING LUKE 15:10 🔑 KEY VERSE: "there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." (Luke 15:10) 📜 ONE YEAR STUDY PLAN ISAIAH 59–63 🖊️ COMMENTARY Soul winning is an imperative call to all believers. You are saved to be an instrument to save others.Even our Lord Jesus Himself engaged in soul-winning. Heaven rejoices over the repentance of a soul. To be effective as a soul winner: • You must see beyond your present circumstances; you must see beyond every limitation and refuse anything obstructing your view on this great responsibility. The Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:16, "For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" • Do not give up on those that you have given God's message to. Pray for them. Revisit them if possible. Be patient. In most cases, you did not get saved the first time you heard how to be saved. • If you have led someone to the Lord, revisit and encourage them. Do not leave them on their own to find the right way to grow. Encourage them to read their Bible. Invite them, or direct them to a good church that is near them to hear more of what the Bible teaches. Disciple them if it is possible. Beloved, can God count on you? Will you be obedient to this call to duty and honour our Heavenly Father? Then jump on the Evangelism train and get involved fully in populating the kingdom of our dear God. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🎚 CONTROLLING THOUGHTS Many will not hear about the Good news if you do not tell them! 🙏🏿 PRAYER Father, help me to be doer of Your word not just reader or hearer only, I pray in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 Always share with your friends and family. It's a blessing that needs to go round. Grace to you, AMEN
