Important Update on IELTS! ✍️ A new option is being introduced for IELTS test takers who prefer writing their answers by hand. In selected countries, the “Writing on Paper” option will allow candidates to complete the Writing section by handwriting their responses on paper, while the rest of the test (Listening, Reading, and Speaking) will remain computer-based. This change is designed for candidates who feel more comfortable expressing their ideas through handwriting rather than typing. Note: This option is expected to be introduced in some countries first and may become available in Uzbekistan around 2027. @ielts_material_full
The world is in chaos once again. My commentary will not solve anything. But i feel compelled to share what i think so as to, at last, inform my audince here. For I know most if not all of you are interested and well-informed individuals with some level of independent thinking abilities. It is tough and sad that wars unfold. Especially for reasons beyond our immidiate influence and interest. Politicians and a few in a narrowly exclusive and profit-seeking circles, at large, command what happens to us, how we live through, and what is taken from our hands and hearts. In effect, beautiful places we love to walk pass, people we enjoy spending time together, and just Idle moments that will never return are stolen. It is at the cost of us. The few on the higher echelons of governance and corporate strata are the ones whose needs and wants aren't effected. And including the many who are "already poor". It is a weary world where any attempt to change the system is met by an ambush of failure, waiting just out of sight. But in collection and unity, we seem to have power. Only realizable, when we put away the fear of confrantation and marshall towards the good of many not with force and the promise of destruction but with intent that values our humanity, the good we stand for, and maybe for our own sakes. Peace is ideal so is love towards one another. We fight and argue even in networks as small as a family circle, relationship, or be it in any person to person interaction on every level. But this inherent nature of ours does not cross out the possiblity of resolve. And I mean by peacful means. This does not single out, as well, the physical responce of killing, harming others, and destroying places they belong as the most efficient and proper solution. The latter is made possible by empowering ideologies that risk dehumanizing and belittling others. I believe, this isn't a fleeting impulse or a morning's shallow craving. It is a slow-burning devotion. It is something followed and believed, a perspective shaped meticulously by time and space. If left unchecked, the fall of humanity will not be caused by some future alien invasion or a distant hellfire, but by these very dogmas consuming us from within.

Some people argue that learning mathematics is no longer necessary due to advances in technology and artificial intelligence. To what extent do you agree or disagree? The rapid proliferation of digital technology has prompted some to question whether mathematics education still holds value in modern society. While it is true that computers and artificial intelligence can execute complex calculations with extraordinary speed and precision, I firmly disagree with the notion that this renders the study of mathematics redundant. Admittedly, the case for reducing emphasis on mathematics education is not entirely without merit. Calculators, smartphones, and AI-powered tools have made arithmetic and even advanced computation accessible to virtually anyone at the touch of a button. In many professional settings, employees rely on software to handle statistical analysis, financial modelling, and data processing that would have previously demanded considerable mathematical expertise. It is therefore understandable that some view the time spent on mathematics education as better allocated to other disciplines. Nevertheless, this argument overlooks a fundamental distinction between performing calculations and developing mathematical thinking. The true value of studying mathematics lies not in the ability to manually compute figures, but in the cultivation of logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and structured problem-solving — cognitive skills that no application can replicate on a person's behalf. Research in educational neuroscience consistently demonstrates that mathematical training strengthens neural pathways associated with abstract reasoning, which underpins competence across fields as diverse as medicine, engineering, law, and economics. A society that abandons mathematics education would, over time, produce generations less equipped to think critically, regardless of the sophistication of the tools at their disposal. Furthermore, the assumption that technology is universally accessible remains deeply flawed. Significant digital divides persist both within and between nations, with millions of people in low-income communities and developing countries lacking reliable access to smartphones or computers. To advocate for the replacement of mathematical education with technological dependence is, in effect, to deepen existing inequalities — leaving the most vulnerable members of society without even the basic numeracy skills required to navigate daily financial decisions, understand contracts, or evaluate risk. In conclusion, while modern technology has undeniably transformed the practical applications of mathematics, it has done nothing to diminish the intellectual and social value of mathematical education. On the contrary, a world of increasing technological complexity demands citizens who can think rigorously and independently — qualities that the study of mathematics remains uniquely positioned to foster. #samplebyme
