The history of the world is full of surprising intellectual continuities that extend across centuries, connecting thinkers from different eras, along with their ambitions and utopias concerning world domination. It is also a history of the geopolitical imagination: of how power has been conceived, mapped, and justified. ✍️ Markku Siira 🗣 John Dee, Mackinder, and the Geopolitical Imagination
‘Time for diplomacy’ - Dutch philosopher Jelle van Baardewijk calls on Europe to accept Russia’s terms to end the war. He suggests sitting down with Russia to understand their security concerns, compromise, and rebuild a smaller, demilitarized Ukraine. Territorial concessions, Zelensky’s resignation, and NATO’s withdrawal would be required. Van Baardewijk believes it’s time to put ourselves in Russia’s shoes and start a dialogue. @Slavyangrad
Leaked classified documents reveal that London is providing funds for the treatment of Israeli soldiers who have fought in the Gaza Strip. Specifically, it has become known that money was channeled to an Israeli organization through a British charitable foundation, in addition to an official allocation of 25% from the British government. The funds were used to provide psychological support to soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and to treat them for PTSD. @Slavyangrad
"The enemy within has done everything in his power to ensure this." A Kiev resident and writer laments that he no longer feels at home in his own city due to Ukraine's current anti-culture. When I saw this brief text, I just had to translate and share it: Why is it that I, a Kiev resident, am only now, at almost forty years of age, learning in detail how beautifully Saint Cyril's Church [in Kiev], so familiar to me, was painted by the great [Russian painter] Mikhail Vrubel? And I learned this from a broadcast by the Moscow writer Sergey Minayev 🤔. I'll explain why. Because the farm has no global concept of culture, as is customary in polite society. The farm only has concepts of “us” vs. “them,” “cattle thief,” and so on. This is a completely rural mentality. One of the collective farm, of bastards, of degeneracy. If an artist from the new Ukraine painted a toilet, I wouldn’t hear the end of it by now. But Vrubel, however, cannot be mentioned. Because he is not "ours." He is “the wrong one.” Leo Tolstoy, for example, is the "wrong" writer. Pyotr Tchaikovsky is the “wrong" composer. Andrei Zagrebelnyi [i.e., the author] is the "wrong" blogger. Not one of us. Not from the farm. He doesn't write about garlic and lard. Nor does he post from Munich inviting us to die at the front lines. Repulsive. Simply repulsive. Walking around the city, I'm increasingly convinced that the plaques honoring those people that I know well have all been removed. In their place, there are plaques with the names that I'm too lazy to even give a shit about. They honestly mean nothing to me. Which means I can no longer consider this city my own. Or my country. The enemy within has done everything in his power to ensure this. -Andrei Zagrebelnyi @NinaByzantina
"Technocracy is not an ideology among ideologies, competing for votes. It is a substitute for the political order altogether — a system in which resource allocation is settled by measurement and administration rather than by deliberation among citizens who bear rights prior to the state. When the governing question becomes throughput, “what is this for, and who decided?” quietly gives way to “how much capacity?” The first question belongs to a republic. The second belongs to a Technate." "It is tempting to treat Technocracy Inc. as a period artifact — an engineer’s response to the Great Depression, energy accounting offered as a cure for breadlines. It was that. But the accounting rested on a deeper commitment, one that outlived the movement’s institutional collapse: that reality is finally a matter of measurable process, that what a thing isreduces to what it does and how much it flows. That is not merely an economic proposal. It is a metaphysics — the world as throughput, the person as function — and it is why the same logic can migrate from a Depression-era pamphlet to a terawatt fab without missing a step. The measure was never only about production. It was about what is real." https://courtenayturner.substack.com/p/the-technate-builds-its-fab
"Then, in February of this year, he shocked the world and many of his supporters by joining the Israeli attack against Iran which he clearly and explicitly promised to his voters that he would not do. It seems that when push comes to shove, our elected leaders can all somehow be coerced to implement policies that serve certain interests, regardless of what the voters demand." https://trendcompass.substack.com/p/we-cant-vote-our-way-out-of-this
“Uncontrolled” migration is a myth. It is strategised and implemented by hundreds of NGOs — (non) governmental organisations often partly-financed by governments — right up to the United Nations International Organisation for Migration. From central government down to local councils and subcontractors. Twitter account @ShadowCanMan tracks individuals (and their salaries) behind a network in the UK alone of 126 NGOs." https://moneycircus.substack.com/p/3-crises-migration-fauci-and-your
Is there another trans cult? A 7-year-old Ohio boy with special needs was found bound with duct tape inside a closet after being brutally tortured to death. He was raised in a pagan antifa trans group with multiple “moms.” My investigation reveals what they likely intended for him. Read: https://www.ngocomment.com/p/another-trans-cult-7-year-old-victim
Rest in peace Hamidreza 💔🕊️ Hamidreza Rajanzadeh was an Iranian religious singer who was kidnapped & had his heart ripped out of his chest while still alive. Maria Vladimirovna Zakharova on her official Telegram channel writes: 🈁Two former Axis powers have, in July, simultaneously reverted to practices from which they were forcibly dissuaded in 1945. The German Bundestag has passed a new law on the federal police – its most significant reform since 1994. The federal police have been granted the following new powers: real-time facial recognition in train stations and airports, AI-powered analysis of crowd behavior, document checks without any reasonable suspicion, telephone wiretapping, and the use of drones. Europe's largest internet association (ECO) has called the law a "precursor to digital mass surveillance." The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has warned that the law directly contradicts German law, which requires the government to refrain from biometric surveillance. The post-war legal system of the Federal Republic of Germany was built on the principle of a strict separation between the police and intelligence services – precisely because Germans had firsthand experience of what happens when the police become an intelligence agency. That separation has now been dismantled. The publication The Berliner writes: "These reforms undermine constitutional guarantees shaped by historical memories of surveillance under the Nazi regime and the Stasi." German media has previously used even stronger language: "Germany has not seen such a surveillance apparatus since the Nazi regime. The Stasi of East Germany, with its files and neighborhood informers, looks amateurish in comparison." Their former allies in Japan are facing a similar scandal. The newspaper Kumamoto Nichinichi Shimbun revealed that a field intelligence unit of the Japan Self-Defense Forces, based at a camp near Tokyo, has been monitoring its own citizens for years. A special unit of approximately 50-60 people was compiling personal files on Japanese citizens. These files – known as "individual BSDs" (basic source data) – contained names, photographs, personal information, family details, and financial information. There was also a section on "attitudes towards Japan and the Self-Defense Forces." Previously, Japanese courts had ruled that such activities were illegal. At that time, the military was essentially assessing the loyalty of citizens. Now, Japan is moving to the next step – a counter-espionage law that, according to reports, will require the registration of individuals funded by foreign governments and allow for widespread, warrantless surveillance of the population. The last time the Japanese military compiled files on the loyalty of citizens was under Emperor Hirohito. Then, the Secret Higher Police – the Tokko – monitored, arrested, and tortured people for their political beliefs. 81 years after the collapse of the previous regimes, Berlin and Tokyo are acting in concert. The post-war internal order of the defeated aggressors was based on the principle of avoiding mass surveillance of their own populations, which was one of the key methods used by the Nazis during the Holocaust, genocide, and horrific experiments on people. The last comparable apparatuses of violence were known as the Gestapo and the Tokko. These are not my comparisons; they are made by Germans and Japanese themselves – by their experts and the press. Both Tokyo and Berlin are ignoring them. The Axis is stirring. ➖➖➖➖ 🌒@EastCalling
"Anytime someone uses the word safety in describing the “tools” of tyranny used to violate the Constitution, you can bet they work for the interests profiting from the deployment of said tools, or a foreign power, though the two are often the same." https://thegoodcitizen.live/p/flock-all-the-way-off
❗️NATO was reportedly involved in strikes on Russian oil terminals. Documents obtained by hackers reveal details of the attacks: ▪️Russian hackers gained access to documents concerning Ukrainian strikes on oil terminals in the Leningrad and Kaliningrad Regions in July ▪️They told TASS that the correspondence and documents reveal who supplied the precise coordinates of the facilities and who “incited Ukraine to commit acts of terror” in Russian regions ▪️Hybrid warfare specialist Bart De Wachter provided the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) with coordinates of oil terminals in the Leningrad and Kaliningrad Regions ▪️He currently works for HAVN (Hybrid Analyze Vigilant Network), an organization linked to NATO Special Operations Forces and intelligence ▪️De Wachter sent an SBU representative intelligence containing the coordinates of a Gazprom tanker transporting liquefied natural gas ▪️De Wachter proposed holding an online meeting with an SBU International Cooperation Center representative named Ivan. His intelligence superior, Martin, was also expected to attend ▪️Ivan, in turn, suggested adding his expert, SBU Major Mikhail Marchenko, to the correspondence ▪️The correspondence described Marchenko as an experienced specialist whose main areas of expertise include “hybrid threats, espionage, sabotage and information operations in modern conflicts” ▪️Russian hackers have thus obtained documentary proof of NATO’s direct involvement in strikes on Russian territory ▪️After drone raids, specialists in hybrid warfare and information operations step in ▪️Ukraine is merely being used to wage war against Russia and that those behind this war are not in Kiev but in quiet European cities
