Ia mengembangkan kemampuan menulis & membaca bersama teman perempuannya banyak bukti yang menunjukkan bahwa ibu kartini pandai berbahasa Belanda, salah satu contohnya adalah surat surat R.A. Kartini yang dikirim untuk sahabatnya menggunakan bahasa Belanda.

• Menentang feodalisme Kartini menilai perlakuan feodalisme Jawa pada saat itu tidak adil dan juga tidak masuk akal. Oleh sebab itu, ia meninggalkan kebiasaan feodalisme yang sudah dijalankan berpuluh-puluh tahun lamanya. Ia menilai bahwa sistem feodalisme memandang perempuan pribumi ada pada status sosial yang rendah.

• Kartini mengenalkan ukiran Jepara ke Eropa Kartini memperkenalkan ukiran Jepara ke Eropa. Hal itu terlihat nyata di 1929, karena pemerintahan Hindia Belanda mendirikan Openbare Ambachtschool atau sekolah ukir Jepada sebagai wujud penghargaan bagi Kartini
