  • The Horsemen of the Pir Panjal — Ancient Sentinels on Forgotten Himalayan Trade Routes Along the old Pir Panjal trade routes stand hundreds of mysterious stone sculptures known as the Horsemen of the Pir Panjal — often at the foot of galis (mountain passes), by springs and ponds. Silent milestones of a lost past. They vary in size and form: one, two or three figures astride horses; some include reliefs of local deities and geometric motifs. At Ghora Gali alone over 200 were recorded, many broken or buried. Locals link them to the Pandavas; archaeologists note attire, weapons and motifs that suggest wider, even Bactrian, influences. Were they guardians, milestones, or markers of strategic resting points? The answers remain elusive.

  • "Article 370 Was Already Dead’In 1975 (Indira–Sheikh Accord) Ex-IB & RAW Chief A.S. Dulat's Remarks Reignite Kashmir Debate Former RAW Chief A.S. Dulat's latest India-Pakistan peace appeal has revived debate over his controversial legacy. Critics cite his claim that Article 370 had effectively ended in 1975, his close engagement with former ISI chief Asad Durrani—including co-authoring a book and reportedly helping resolve Durrani's son's visa issue—his remarks describing Afzal Guru's execution as "unfortunate," and his praise for the ISI as reasons to question his approach to Kashmir and Pakistan. @kashmirdisinfolab

  • No network, just stories — the dhaba owner on the Army The dhaba owner wiped his hands, nodded toward the winding pass and said, “Up there the Army keeps us safe — road clearances at dawn, stranded riders helped without fuss, and the men who drop rations when weather traps us. According to him :- They never ask for thanks, just get on with the job.” My phone had no network, but his words — about quiet duty, quick rescues, and steady presence — felt like a lifeline. @kashmirdisinfolab

  • 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗺𝘂 & 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿 𝘃𝘀 “𝗔𝘇𝗮𝗱” 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗶𝗿: 𝗔 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 In J&K people vote openly, parties campaign, and turnout reflects real choice. In Pakistan‑Occupied Jammu And Kashmir (PoJK) elections are marred by blocked roads, party boycotts and low turnout — yet Islamabad still paints them as “free” and “azad.” @kashmirdisinfolab

  • 🇮🇳 Respect for the Tricolour Is Non-Negotiable @MehboobaMufti In visuals from protest in Srinagar, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti appears to be holding the Indian Tricolour upside down while describing August 5 as a "black day". If the National Flag is going to be used as part of a political protest, the minimum expectation is to display it correctly and with due respect. The optics have sparked criticism, with many questioning how leaders can demand respect while appearing to mishandle the country's highest national symbol. The Tricolour deserves respect—regardless of political differences. @kashmirdisinfolab

  • Journalists report widespread boycott, fear after deadly POK protests Journalists on the ground in Muzaffarabad say most people boycotted the POK polls after protests since June left 50+ dead. • 🚨 Pakistan's Peace Image Abroad, Crackdown at Home Report Says Double Standards Exposed Key Points: ▪️ The report claims peaceful demonstrations in PoJK have been met with live fire, communications blackouts, movement restrictions, and arrests. ▪️ It cites remarks attributed to Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, who reportedly ruled out dialogue with protesters and referred to them as being in the "same category as India." ▪️ According to the report, over 50 civilians have reportedly been killed and hundreds injured during the recent unrest. These figures have not been independently verified. ▪️ The report contrasts these allegations with Field Marshal Asim Munir's diplomatic engagement in facilitating U.S.-Iran dialogue, arguing that Pakistan projects reconciliation internationally while confronting internal dissent with force. ▪️ It also questions the credibility of political developments in PoJK, citing the reported communications blackout and the ban on the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).
