In Armenia they're building the tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world. The monument is being constructed on Mount Hatis, around 30 kilometers from the capital, Yerevan. The statue of Christ will stand 33 meters tall, symbolizing the years of Jesus’ earthly life, and will be placed on a 44-meter pedestal, reaching a total height of about 77 meters. The project is financed by Armenian businessman Gagik Tsarukyan and is part of a larger complex designed to welcome pilgrims and visitors from around the world.
