This Saturday we are happy to invite you to our local hike and kids day at AFS Avgrunnsdalen 14:00 we start a small hike to the mountain top to enjoy the beautiful view of the Hurummarka forests We expect coming back around 15:00 to enjoy collected tee plants 🌱 and fresh cake 🍰 together 16:00 we start our local meeting this week (at the AFS instead of in Tofte) From 16:00 onwards we are also offering activities for kids during the meeting like building little huts out of things we find around in the forest Adress: Rødbyveien 43, 3490 Klokkarstua, Norway

Nonetheless we organised a little demonstration on Tuesday in front of the office of the company ‘Sterner Sørensen AS’ to create awareness for their plans. Now we have even more time for asking them very very politely to change these plans. Please leave them a mail (firmapost@ssas.no) or give them a call (32264470). Then there is also the company renting their machines ‘Aktiv Veidrift AS’ (post@aktivveidrift.no, 32855040). They don’t pick up if you just call them once sometimes. Furthermore for our permanently ongoing building processes we urgently need the following items: - Wood for building (palettes, and planks… preferably longer then 1m) - All kinds of screws and nails (preferably longer ones) - (Air-) Mattresses (1m wide) - plastic mattress covers also 1m wide - Tarps - Always: food donations like fresh vegetables, cans, bread, spreads, coffee….(vegan) Just bring things by or write us a message so we can pick it up.

A small update from the forest At the end of this eventful week we saw civilian police taking pictures of our gate. If you see suspicious men with sunglasses and high quality cameras walking around please do as they do and take pictures of them. As you have probably heard the demolition of the house was haltet due to local complaints until the 18th of August. Since Art seems to be a convincing argument not to tear down our home we have decided to put even more of it on every open surface we found during our art day!

During the building week, more than just some new treehouses were built. People from many different countries came together, forming new friendships and alliances while collectively shaping an idea of what this space is becoming. A space for those who don’t want to wait, but instead work towards a better world right here and right now. A dead tree standing right next to one of the houses was secured, improving safety and making it more viable for long-term occupation. The newly built treehouses are designed to offer shelter even during storms, while numerous smaller side projects contributed to the ongoing development of the site. Takk for besøket!
