Keningau contingent is the overall champion of 2026 state level Special Education Athletics Championship (KOPK), 10-14 August, Kota Kinabalu. Four of them are our KVC's athletes! 🏆🎖🥇 1. Triviviana John Silver medal in 800 metres 🥈 Silver nedal in 1500 metres 🥈 2. Jaflinie Rainsim Silver medal in javelin🥈 Silver medal in shotput 🥈 Along with these two medalists are our relay sprinters, Clleriscen Welvson and  Chery Krista Jandiri and together they formed a full 4 X 100 metres relay team from KVC in the event since Jaflinie had to replace an injured athlete. 💪🔥 We congratulate our special education unit (PPKI) for coaching and managing our special needs learners especially Ms. Nur Adira Mad Karim and Ms. Noor Azarina Ahmad @ Ismail who were there throughout the event. Some of our athletes qualified for the state level but they had to represent us at national SUKOV. Bravo everyone! 👏👏👏

Our Sabah/Labuan men's 4 X 100 metres relay team won gold medal at 2026 national SUKOV. 🥇🥇🥇 Two of our KVC's athletes, Adif Shyazrin Jaffrin & Elvin Therry Antanius, ran in the heat and semifinal before being substituted by athletes from other vocational colleges in the final race. All team members received gold medals for the achievement. 🥰🥳🤗 Mr. Raymond Weil Garagus and Mr. Hilary Sualeh played prominent roles in coaching these sprinters. Madam Director Noorhayati Hashim @ Harun who was our deputy director of academic affair was also present for morale support. 👏🤩

First medal for Sabah in SUKMA is from our own student! Brenjen Bon Jacob who won bronze in Downhill Mountain Biking  event on August 14, 2026. 😱🤩👏 Brenjen is currently in his final semester of Construction Technology diploma programme. He has been training intensively for this sport and finally made it to SUKMA despite the peaks and troughs of juggling his study and his commitment in this sport but he finally had the chance to represent Sabah in Malaysian Games (SUKMA) and surprised everyone by bringing in the first medal into our tally. 🎲 Play games. Study games. Then make our own. We have been busy, but GGP Game Sessions continued on 7 & 14 August as we introduced more players to board games through familiar, easy-to-pick-up titles. Meanwhile, behind the scenes… We’re improving our existing prototypes AND developing 3 new games. One of them? A card game about making Linopot—turning one of Sabah’s famous traditional delicacies into something you can learn through play. This is part of our journey with the CHANGE Microgrant, but I’m increasingly excited about something bigger: What if more of our local stories, culture and knowledge could become games?
