  • Dears, it was a pleasure to see ALL of you with no exceptions yesterday. We had a really great chill beach time 🏖️ The days like this one are precious: when we can just relax, fight for the sup board and then jump from it into the water, swim away towards the sun, eat watermelon, take pictures and swim swim swim ⛵ Enjoy your last summer months, dears, and see you at our next gatherings ❤️

  • Dear clubbers! At last we are ready to announce our summer beach party, roughly devoted to the club's birthday. It will happen on August 2, Sunday, on Uchkuevka beach. We suggest meeting at 2 pm at Zakharova and walk there together. After swimming and sunbathing we will have a picnic with some relaxing games and share our love for the club. What you need: - swimming suit - sunscreen - water - towel / picnic blanket / anything to sit on - FOOD and DRINKS at your preference - good mood If you are planning to join, put your plus in the comments please. Ask me any relevant questions: @Thyia_78

  • And here's a bonus: select phrases from the club! 🔸Home is people with who you match base, with who l have absolutely no walls. 🔸Home is a thing that pops in and out of other things. 🔸Memory is always rewriting itself. 🔸My face switches off at home. My husband calls it a resting bitch face. He comes up and asks, what are you thinking about, suicide? 🔸I hate nature. I absolutely don't get people who don't. 🔸Shell of a snail - no. Take tortoise shell. It's very protective.

  • The meeting we had yesterday went far beyond my expectations. After a hectic and quite scary day at work, it was an effort for me to piece myself together, but the safety of our circle gradually prevailed. This time I opted for an experiment which brought about everything I could hope for, and more. The task was first for each of us to write five words (or couples of words), any part of speech, freely associated with home. The crayons for writing were generously provided by the Bar Host. Then we independently, each for our own, had to compose a poem that would contain all of those words. Nobody seemed to mind (except Alex, and YES! We are still longing and thirsting for your poem). The resulting masterpieces were striking. Reading and responding to them extended into the night and we were lost in time, crossing elusive bridges, weaving silver webs. You can appreciate for yourself the beauty of our verses in the comments (authors, please don't hesitate to add them in the comments!). In the final part of the meeting we took some time to ponder on DeepSeek's prompts on sensory characteristics of Home, a Person as a Place, and the Threshold Ritual of leaving and entering home. For me, the meeting did the job it was summoned for. I was able to touch upon the transient meaning of home in my life and capture it in several ample words and images. @portevert

  • Dear clubbers, I can't wait to meet every one of you again. That's why I suggest a meeting this Thursday dedicated to a topic I much desire to look into. Shall we discuss the personal meaning of Home? How do you build it inside (and outside)? Do you escape it or chase it? Is it a metaphor or a physical thing? How do you experience it, in all its ambiguity? Are you currently at home? We'll speak and maybe do some other things that I half-have in mind. Same place, same time: Tom Soyer Bar, Thursday 16 July, 6.30 pm Please put a plus if you are planning to join! Any questions - @portevert or @Thyia_78

  • Guys, we're also considering a beach party 🏖️ so if you're for this option, let us know!

  • ☀️ Dears! How about we have a pool party for the B-day of the club next weekend?! We had one, but it was 3 years ago 😱 (time flies!) Would you join this time? Please put a plus if you're interested, we need to understand how many people are there to calculate the cost. Last time it was 1000 per each ✌️ Waiting for your pluses! Alla 😘 @elli_sky @Thyia_78's with us 🥳

Posting our pic separately because otherwise Anya's brilliant post wouldn't fit as a whole. Thanks everyone! Love you 🫶🏻

  • The meeting was so charged I could barely sleep after. In a way, it was reminiscent of the meetings that never happened but should have, the archetypal meeting from the movies and dreams, the long-sought reunion with imaginary friends. Transcendental; incandescent; sparking creativity and mirth; bursting with meaning; linking to the buzzing hive mind; hungrily curious and instantly intimate; revelatory; generating light. As a host, I was amused by the fact that the speaking itself appeared to be inferior to being connected. When for the second part I put participants in pairs, they got to have more speaking time than they would have in a big circle (and we were numerous). But in the final circle many of us shared the regret of losing the feel of the entire group, revealing the need to listen. Back to the topic of our meeting, we delved into the dialectics of internal versus external support: drew a pie chart of our respective support pillars, challenged the myth of independence, shared vulnerabilities and unconventional power-ups, and of course, our life stories. I was told by a participant that they felt heard. This is the best compliment ever. I'll be looking forward to more nights like this.

  • Hi guys! The need to connect and be connected remains, so, hoping the stars align in a proper way this time, we again invite you to meet on Wednesday and discuss our sources of support. What external and internal pillars do we lean on in hard times? To what extent are they rooted within ourselves or in the community? What are the individual, especially if unexpected, implications and cornerstones of support for each of us? What does support, in itself, suggest: stability, integrity, or perhaps flowability? These and other questions might or might not be raised. Join to make sure you contribute. Wednesday, July 1. Tom Soyer bar, 6.30 pm Any questions? Anya @portevert or Anya @Thyia_78 Please put a plus in the comments if you are planning (or at least want) to join.

  • Dear people! Unfortunately and eventually, today we are forced to cancel the meeting. Let's stay safe at home and look forward to a better time to meet. Hugs to all of you.

  • It's been a week and I can say that there wasn't a day when I didn't think of the warm and invigorating meeting that we managed to have on Thursday. I was a little bit nervous after a long break of running anything of the kind, but to my taste, we had spent a spectacular couple of hours. Thank you for bringing yourself and being sincere and thoughtful. That night my world became several stars brighter! I have been feeling more alive and aware since. We have delved into our personal understanding of age: confessed how old we are inside, argued whether childhood fantasies are immature or enviable, ruminated on abominable piano/ballet lessons, defied fear of death and exchanged verbal hugs. I really look forward to reuniting with you in the future in some gatherings of this or other kind. Yours, Anya.

  • Hi everybody! This is as unexpected for me as it is for you, but... This time you are welcome to join an existential speaking club. The host is a translator with a background in psychology, so be ready to open up (no pressure! only as much as comfortable). The topic is "Facets of Age". You will have a chance to look into your understanding of age and your relationship with it and gain insights from others. We'll discuss evocative prompts in small groups and share our experience in a non-judgmental setting. The aim of the meeting is to be transformative and personal. Tom Soyer cafe, Thursday, June 11, 18.30. Please put a plus if you intend to join. Any questions can be addressed to Anya @portevert or Anya @Thyia_78

Guys, you were awesome, as usual! Thank you for brightening my evening and sharing your thoughts about art. I was delighted to learn your opinions - so different, so interesting! It was also a pleasure to see new faces - I hope we didn't scare you away 😹 See you all next time, I hope!
